  1. Not too mention I'm reasonably sure that there's a limited amount of class spaces in a ROM, and if you edit a class to look unique, you also have to keep the old one.
  2. Splicing includes editing, they aren't mutually exclusive
  3. Actually several sprites have splice-able armor. Hero sprite, Cavalier maybe...Hector...you just have to get creative.

  9. Honestly I see very little change--just some new (albeit better) colors and maybe a few minor changes in shading and a bit more antialiasing. Ike is the best of the three, will admit that, but the other two really don't seem that much changed at all, at least not by any noticeable amount Here's what I mean

If someone takes enough time off to give you tips and help, take it, take their advice, take their edits, and use them. Don't just criticize them and move on to another one, then repeat the entire process In fact, this is just another example of pointing fingers.   14. okay so >kon tries You criticize her shading That isn't asking for help on yours, that's defending yours by finding fault in hers--even if you say that its better than yours --- Honestly this thread was started two years ago and there hasn't been much marked improvement I think that's because you're taking the criticism into account but you're not actually applying it to your future sprites, nor are you trying to fix the ones that get the crit. Case in point, the grey-armored dude. You ask Kon to spend her free time fixing it for you, then you say why you don't like it and post a new sprite. I'm aware that you were 'just waiting', but a lot of the time it goes that way in this thread. I don't want to look up specifics, but I know that it has happened before, and frankly its kind of annoying --- If you're just trying to make basic mugs for your story, that's fine, but if you're actually trying to improve as a spriter, you need to take the criticism, go back to the same sprite it was given for, and work on that sprite until the issue is fixed

  19. Beginner does not mean length, it means technical quality. It's a matter of efficiency. We're trying to collect a list of people/sprites which leech from another's hard work. If we stopped to look for every single sprite of yours, mine, and everyone who's not really all that good, we'd never finish this. Calm AND THEN WHEN WOULD WE BE ABLE TO PITCHFORK
  20. That's getting incredibly pitchfork-y. I think the best first step is to build a list, and bring it to their attention. rage doesnt help guys After that is when we light the torches.
  21. All of the coloring seems a bit off. It's kind of hard for me to see much of anything with the dark green background and the weird colors. I feel like a lot of the detail gets lost to the eye of the viewer, like it all kind of blends together. I'd have to go more in depth to be more help.
