  1. Honestly as long as these two just get this alt, it's totally fine. These guys are extremely popular so I totally understand that there's more than one version of each, though revealing them this early in the roster is super lame. And it's about time that they add the most muscular man of Dragon Ball, #16 himself. Now that him and Piccolo are in, I only need one more of my favorites in before I have a set in stone team.
  2. Clear out as much of the arena as you can with each character at the beginning of each chapter that you start in a castle, it's a nice place to get EXP and gold for each dude and they don't die if they lose a battle, but they do get dropped to 1 HP. Oh, and when someone wins an arena match they're fully healed. You don't need to clear out the arena fully with everyone, but most dudes can clear out the first few matches and that's good enough for them. Don't blow off dudes at first glance, certain characters only need one or two resources to unlock their full potential and contribute well. You can also save at the beginning of each turn, but do keep a save at the beginning of the chapter or whatever so you don't end up trapping yourself. The auto-save feature is nice for this, as it gives you a prompt to save at the start of each turn. Always keep a Return staff on hand for situations where someone needs to head back to base pronto. Promotions don't reset levels, all characters cap level at 30, so don't feel like giving your Duke Knight or whatever some experience is a waste because they're already promoted.
  3. Might as well post my end of it. "Highlights" at 00:06:28, 00:11:50, 00:14:00 (encounterless forest), 1:06:23, 3:58:50. The rest of it is my main Pokemon wrecking house and me getting lost like a dummy

  5. Probably too late to contribute but as it is a fog of war map, spamming a torch staff, assuming you got it in chapter 11, will let Safy get a bunch of exp and weapon exp so she can hit that coveted A rank. Once she hits A you can use the Knight Proof on someone else as the only real reason to promote Safy is due to her gaining 1 weapon rank. Tina might end up breaking her Thief staff while you do that, but you have a Repair staff with 5 uses so it's not that big of a loss. And like Slumber said, you don't really need the treasures to finish the game even if they are kinda nice so don't feel like your file is ruined cause you missed stuff.
  6. From what I've seen and heard, Jecht no longer has the brave -> hp stuffs that made him insane up close in the PSP titles, but his new EX skill lets him cancel any of his moves, effectively turning him into an anime fighting game character. Oh, and his moveset does seem more versatile in general with the standard upwards and downwards attacks as opposed to just one main brave move.
  7. Just what are you implying, bro. Anyway this was super fun, too bad I was the only dude to finish cause the others are bad at Zelda. For those curious, almost everything was randomized, from dungeon and cave locations to dungeon layouts. Basically, nothing about the game is what anyone knows about Zelda 1 save for game mechanics.
  8. Speaking of Marty Party THE PARTY HAS BEGUN Oh yeah safe units Me: Marty Party Lord Raven: Carcass Carmine Sword: Assvel Ice: Blue Haired Lance Sety Terrador: Ms. 3 Base Strength
  9. Team Rum, being the superior team on the basis of its name, has obviously finished picking the chapters for Team Cocktail before they could pick for us. 1: Horace 2: Jedi 2X: Jedi 3: Horace 4: Euklyd 4X: Refa 5: Jedi 6: Refa 7: Refa 8: Euklyd 8X: Refa 9: Horace 10: Jedi 11: Euklyd 11X: Horace 12: Refa 12X: Euklyd 13: Jedi 14: Horace 14X: Horace 15: Refa 16: Euklyd 17: Jedi 18: Jedi 19: Euklyd 20: Horace 21: Horace 21X: Euklyd 22: Refa 23: Euklyd 24: Refa 24X: Jedi FINAL: Jedi However, in the vein of sportsmanship, Team Cocktail cannot start playing until they pick for Team Rum. So hurry up already.
  10. Mother music is pretty good, especially from 1 and 3. Mother 2 has some good tracks too but they're not as memorable as the ones from the other games in my opinion.
  11. Thracia 776 (Favorite) Lower the penalty for capture attempts. Having to do it on Player Phase is bad enough already Either remove warp or stick a flat 10 range on it Remove Saias from Ch 22 without warpskip he makes it unbearable Add a yes/no prompt for trying to escape with Leif while other dudes haven't escaped yet 0/100 hit rate floor/ceiling Balance the awful units with more personal weapons or skills Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light (Least Favorite) Give someone a copy of Shadow Dragon
  12. Definitely spent way too long on this but it's totally worth it. Might work on resizing for sigs later but I don't know
  13. Man I was just talking about how fruity cocktails aren't cost efficient in terms of getting one drunk and you turn it into a personal war. Okay, man. We are the side of fun, getting trashed and not having to spend $10 on every drink while the other team is a bunch of dumb nerds.
  14. Assuming you're trying to use everyone: (General rule of thumb is Sigurd loves every stat ring but I'm assuming you want to mix it up, and you should end ch 5 with him holding a lot of rings, notably the power/speed/leg/knight/elite rings) Power: A lot of guys really like this. Finn and Midir are my personal favorites since finn can get +20 damage if he doubles with the hero lance and midir just kinda has crap stats Magic: Alec does good damage with a magic sword + this since Paladins get +5 magic on promotion and he's the paladin that doubles. Alternatively, it helps Azel do a bit more damage once he gets a Wind tome. Skill: Sell it and never look back. It's not too bad on Noish or Ayra since it gives them a 5% extra chance to proc stuff but it honestly doesn't matter much. Speed: Sigurd with this almost never has to worry about doubling. Finn might need it early if he gets stat screwed. It also gives Quan/Noish a 5% extra chance to proc continue, so that's something. Shield: Someone whose defense is okay but not too high since enemies will ignore them. Finn comes to mind, as does Alec or Noish. Barrier: Everyone wants this ring. Leg: Sylvia for utility or Sigurd to get to villages/castles quicker and safer. It's okay on Erin too since she can fly over the awful terrain in Ch 4/5 Return: Good on Sigurd in ch 4 when you have to walk all the way back to the main castle from the top right. Pretty worthless elsewhere. Knight: Sylvia Elite: Alec/Noish really like it early since it helps them rush to 20. Otherwise just pass it around in the arena. Good also when you plan to feed a group of enemies to one unit, like the ch 3 pirates. The Power of Pursuit: Quan likes it but really only has ch 3 to abuse the hell out of it. Pretty good on Lewyn and Noish otherwise. Bargain: Give it to the dude you want to level up with the Elite Ring after the dude who picks it up from the boss levels up. Lachesis, Alec, and Noish are all very good picks. Life: If you do get it, it's good on any frontliner.
  15. Marty. He's so bad but getting him those sick promo gains is worth the grind kinda sorta not really but his dopey portrait is always fun to look at every time I check his stats. Azel is also so bad but I like working up to 20 cause mage knights are the best class ever. Once he gets there he's actually pretty decent but getting there is the worst.
  16. FE5 escape since its cooler than sending a stat wall at a bunch of enemies or abusing instant win conditions without repercussions to take into account.
  17. Sure, I'll have a go. Good thing that Heroes voting thing was basically a way to vote for my favorites so I have a handy dandy list. Pent: Heavy bias here since FE7 was my first FE and it was cool watching him tear through a bunch of bandits before I learned gaiden requirements. Good staffer, which is something I always appreciate, a cool dude all around, and good looking to boot. How can you not like this guy? Geitz: More FE7 bias here, but I'm a huge fan of prepromote warriors since they're useful at worst, and Geitz is no exception with his nice weapon ranks and stats. His nihilism is kinda interesting although some of his supports don't portray it well. Eyrios: Recent favorite, this guy is a monster that just tears through everything with his good bases, growths, weapon ranks, skills, and a mount. Although he is a mage knight, which is one of my favorite FE classes, he doesn't give a damn about dismounting since he only loses a few stats and movement. His personality is sorta notable, especially the part where he straight up refuses to join if you recruited some chick he hates. Leif: Most relatable lord in the series, and it's not just in the normal colored hair. He goofs and has to deal with the repercussions and isn't some dude chosen by a god, although he is the descendant of a hero but that part is really minor, no pun intended. He's also pretty useful in both the games he's in, and I'm a huge fan of master knights as well. Quan: Has an amazing design and portrait and his relationship to Finn is a nice lord/retainer relationship that we rarely see in the series. Being a good unit on top of that is also a bonus. Saber: Has a good role in Echoes as a sort of good friend and confidant to Celica, and his calm confidence throughout everything is endearing. Niime: Amazing staffer and generally underrated unit by casual players. The hermit thing is kinda cool and I wish it was used more in FE games. Ced: I'm a sucker for dudes portrayed as heroes in story, and an even bigger sucker for dudes who don't believe that they are. Being a very notable user of my favorite anima type is also cool I guess. Leo: He's a dark knight, but I still consider him a mage knight like the others. Has a neat design and signature spell and is generally well written in his supports, which is a nice surprise in Fates. Takumi: Notable for being the one dude who's suspicious about all of the mysterious things surrounding Corrin, and he has every right to be. Bartre: BIG BEEFY 22 BASE STR. He's also just a likeable dude overall. Charlotte: Her cynicism is endearing to me, and I find myself relating to a lot of her ways of thinking. She's also aggressive under her pretty shell, which nets her bonus points. Titania: I'm a sucker for redheads, especially those who can kick ass with axes on top of that. Nolan: Don't know why, but he always seems to perform very well in my runs and being one of the original Dawn Brigade chumps with actual stats is a neat feature. I also like his design for some reason. Sirius: Has a pretty good portrait and design and being a very useful unit in the original is neat too. Hawk: A very notable substitute unit for performing very well by substitute standards due to his huge bases. Having a better portrait in FE4 definitely helps matters. Anna: Money puns are great and so is the aforementioned redhead thing
  18. A dude with remarkably normal colored hair tries to reclaim his homeland in a small scale bloody conflict that eventually boils down to dudes waving sticks at each other and randomly passing out or being unable to speak.
  19. Pretty cool gameplay, seems like all the Metroidvania stuff is intact, especially technical stuff like animation cancelling. Seems like Dawn of Sorrow with the shards and multiple weapon types + whips. Hopefully it avoids the huge flaws of Dawn and is still a good game in its own right. Shards seem to have levels like souls did in Dawn of Sorrow. When the player is looking at the shards in the menu, you can see "Grade" and "Rank", so maybe these shards can be upgraded somehow. The boss at the end of the demo looks really well designed like a lot of Portrait of Ruin bosses, which have my favorite bosses in Castlevania. The blood rain being blocked by her own parasols is a neat interaction and I hope other bosses in the game are designed similarly, especially the larger scale monsters that are inevitably going to be in. I'm going to be using mostly whips, since those were my weapon of choice in Portrait. It's nice that the gameplay vid showed off a lot of various weapons and souls to show them off. The new whip animation will take a bit of getting used to, but I'm sure they couldn't just rip off the ol' Castlevania whip attack without making Konami angry. All and all, seems promising, but recent Kickstarter projects have dimmed my hopes a bit so I'll wait until we see later levels to pass any sort of judgment.
