    I love all of the character redesigns so far. Though, I do think that Celica has one of the best redesigns out of everyone. Her design got quite a bit of an overhaul in terms of appearance. I'm just glad that the pseudo-copy characters (in terms of appearance) all look different and have a look that gives a hint of their personalities.

    Personally, I would like for them to include a new character to Celica's route since they're doing that with Alm's route.

    I wouldn't say they hate Shadow Dragon. While I'm not Shadow Dragon's biggest fan as it's my least favorite Fire Emblem game, I wouldn't say that I hate the game.

    I also wonder if any of the cavaliers, pegasus knights, etc. characters will have their mounts in their official artwork by Hidari or not.

    I think as long as they don't make too many villains recruitable, I don't have an issue with Berkut POTENTIALLY joining you, but it's all speculation. It'd make for a more interesting dynamic if Berkut doesn't join you, though.

    I'm excited to see all of the characters in Hidari's artstyle. Mostly, I want to see how she handles Sonya since it'd be neat to see her design heavily inspired by a witch design given her starting class as an enemy. That and I'd love to see how Hidari interprets the Whitewing sisters even though we've seen the three before.

    Right now I'm torn on whether I'm hoping he remains an enemy unit that you defeat and never recruit or if I want him to be recruitable eventually. I suppose it ultimately depends on how his character is played out in the game.

    Agreed. And yeah, he's Rudolf's nephew and he's one who I believe masterminds the coup with Desaix. Either way, it could provide his character and interesting angle given the fact that he's new in Echoes and has no history or backstory that's already been established. Kind of makes me want to learn more about him now.

    Faye probably didn't even think to grab armor since her main motivation for joining the Deliverance is so she can be close to Alm. Also, did anyone notice that Berkut has no scratches on his armor? Makes sense with him being a prince/royalty and therefore probably wouldn't see much action in the battlefield.

    The attention to detail by Hidari is really appreciated. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite character designers in the Fire Emblem series.

    The only times I've had issues with pre-orders not coming on release date is when I pre-ordered the game a few days before its release. That and when Zero Time Dilemma was released, but that was a fiasco on both Amazon and Aksys' behalf. You also won't be GUARANTEED your pre-order on release date via Amazon unless you select 2-day shipping (with either Prime or not Prime). They ship out their pre-orders based on shipping speed NOT when you pre-ordered. I got Fire Emblem Fates' special edition on release day even though I pre-ordered via Amazon.

    One can only hope right now. In all honesty, updates for this game (whether it's artwork or something else) is what will help get me through this last grueling semester of college.

    Fire Emblem Echoes - Shadows of Valentia is out in two months and two days. Really can't wait for this game. Would like it if we got a special edition announced for North America, but it's pretty unlikely.

    I don't think that Shadows of Valentia should have an Avatar. Robin was okay to have in Awakening and Corrin was a toss up for Fates. While I understand some people like the character customization aspect of Robin and Corrin, I don't like the idea that both were designed to be a depiction of the player. I've never been a fan of self-insert characters like that. It doesn't do anything for me when it comes to being engrossed in the story. It kind of detracts from that for me. Though, I'm not knocking anyone who likes self-insert characters like Robin and Corrin, though.

    The main hope I have for this game right now is that unlike Fates, we get character artwork released for every character and not just the status images.

    But did we really need the phallic armor to make a return?

    Those of us in North America, Europe, and the PAL regions might get our own special editions, but it's hard to say given that the game is two months away from releasing and it was two months prior to Fates' release that the Fates special edition was announced. We'll just have to wait and see.

    I know that we've seen the Whitewing designs in past games, but I'd like to seehow Hidari designs them. It'll be interesting to see how they translate in her style.

    That's what I thought. Honestly, I wouldn't be opposed to the Witch class being playable in Echoes. Especially after being able to use it in Fates. That being said, I wouldn't be heartbroken if it's locked to enemies only like it was in Gaiden.

    Such an angry looking man. Regardless of whether there are new classes added to this game more not, I'm looking forward to it. I will say that if they do add new classes, I'd only want a few added to the game. Also, was the Witch class ever playable in Gaiden?

    You do have a point there actually. Perhaps it's not Kamui himself that establishes Chon'sin, but maybe one of his descendants?

    Sorry about that Eclipse. I suppose a few of us got extremely off-topic and a bit out of hand there. ^^;

    Even though I don't know who she'd possibly voice, but I'd love to see Xanthe Huynh to be a part of the Echoes cast. She has a voice similar to Stephanie Sheh's Hinata (Naruto) voice, so maybe she's actually Faye?

    I see Kliff as being more of a character that spends too much time reading (staying up late and such), which is why he kind of looks like he just woke up in his Echoes artwork. The characters I'm looking forward to seeing the new designs of are the Whitewing sisters, Sonya, and Zeke.

    Agreed. As long as there are those of us that still enjoy the series regardless of what gets changed/not changed, that's all that matters. Yes, games in the series will have their flaws, but what game doesn't?
