  1. I like the statue puzzle in Twilight Princess, because it frustrates dumb people. Zelda needs more challenging puzzles.
  2. I played Pikmin 3 today, and it is a nice game. The gameplay and overall aesthetic really capture the classic feeling of Pikmin. With this new poll topic, I'd like to know what you think about the Pikmin series, and whether you're looking forward to Pikmin 4.
  3. Minecraft is like Pokemon, in all the worst ways. I stopped playing after discovering there's no copy/paste in creative mode.
  4. Samus's missiles need a damage buff. It doesn't make sense that slingshots, boomerangs, gyros, peanuts, and turnips can do more damage than a ballistic missile.
  5. You know how Mickey Mouse will be nearly 100 years old before entering public domain because US copyright laws? What if the spoiler period for games... was 100 years?
  6. Ryu has quarter-circles, and I HATE quarter-circles - it's why I don't play traditional fighting games. The only good thing about Ryu is that he costs money, so everyone who plays him has already lost. Also, Meta Knight's multi-hit attacks are great for getting through his down-b.
  7. Where do you live in the world? If you live in the middle of nowhere, you probably won't get many opponents.
  8. Never heard of 'em. My RPG recommendations are Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and The World Ends With You.
  9. (Pssst. You're supposed to say you win when you make a good picture... ; ])
  10. A year is good. Anyone who was really interested in the game and capable of getting it would have it within a year of release. After that, the door is wide open. I saw spoilers for Kirby: Planet Robobot in YouTube thumbnails. Can the spoilers at least wait for the game to release???
  11. That only works in FG... more competitive players don't fall for those shenanigans...
  12. When did art become a game? How do you win?
  13. Who thinks Dedede's Up-B should be buffed (i.e. less lag when landing on the stage)?
  14. Power Master, why don't you add a poll asking which version of Fire Temple's music we prefer?
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwGVb8Ivb9E This is the original Fire Temple music, which contains a sample of Islamic chanting taken from an open sound library. However, Nintendo has a “no real-life religious references” policy, so when they found out they changed it for all future copies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5hpbYg22yA This is the changed version that is currently used. However, the "controversy" is little more than an urban legend, as Nintendo changed the music before the release date. The only reason some copies have the original music is because they were already manufactured and it would've been expensive to replace them. Why are you playing the original and not Ocarina of Time 3D?
  16. Oh. How much is the Wii U patch in full then?
  17. Why does the 3DS patch take up so much memory? I pity those with the standard 2 GB SD cards...
  18. Jave, you do realize... the article you linked to for "1.27 million" also got it's data from VGChartz? Which is weird, because that's not what shows up there.
  19. What do you mean by "appreciate"? I'm sure there are players who would play a S&P character even if they hadn't played a S&P game. And I feel like the roster has already gone beyond the point where adding another first-party character would have it be niche or from a series that's already represented. The only exception I can think of is Splatoon.
  20. @Fire Emblem Fan: Saying Sin & Punishment shouldn't be represented because it's niche is a poor argument, because 1. Fire Emblem characters in Melee. 'Nuff said. 2. Punch-Out is apparently even more niche than Sin & Punishment. According to VGChartz... Punch-Out! (2007) sold 0.29 million units worldwide. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (2009) sold 0.44 millions units worldwide. ...of course more people know about Punch-Out than Sin & Punishment now that Little Mac is in Smash Bros.... 3. Keeping niche series out of Smash keeps them obscure, which, assuming the series are of equal quality, is inherently bad.
  21. That's not a default move, so I didn't count it. But then he wouldn't have a gun. It must be sword AND gun!
  22. I didn't say sword + reflector is ALL there is to a Sin & Punishment character. There are charge shots, teleportation, magic, close combat, alien transformations - it depends on what character you pick, but most of them have great moveset potential. Heck, even the generic soldier would have as many moves as Starfy and Mallo combined.
  23. In the Sin & Punishment universe, all swords can deflect missiles or bullets, including the bosses'. Spin-off Mario games are already represented. Mario himself appears in 99% of them, after all. My criteria was "Does this character EVER show a sword of some kind?" And those characters met the criteria. Corrin has a projectile, but he is not "fully equipped for ranged combat" since he doesn't have a reflector. We have guns AND swords!
