  1. Tack another one on unranked, hard to get my link teams 20/20 if I am worrying about turns and everything else. ~KaiserPhoenix
  2. I'll admit, no, I haven't, but I've seen enough actual gameplay footage and crap assed cut scenes to more than fill that void. And, personally, FE3, I would have preferred if they would have stuck with top-down, simply because they were easier to deal with and play (which is probably why A Link to the Past (the best Zelda game in my mind) reverted back to the top down perspective and evolved it). That's my two cents, take it or leave it, matters to me not, as I've stated before, Zelda 2 was a big milestone for several reasons, but it seemed to take a step back in comparison to the original, IMO. ~KaiserPhoenix
  3. Nah, he installed it fresh.... seriously, do a side by side comparison in gameplay, all of the icons are slightly different >.>;; ~KaiserPhoenix
  4. I dunno, I chose Hector because he's practically a General, but I dunno, I prefer Lyn's storyline. She wasn't raised as a pampered royal, she lived on the plains with her mother and father, until they were killed, and she thusly left to seek revenge and stay alive. Far more interesting than "Okay, I need to protect my kingdom, Marcus, grab my sword and lets head out to the countryside and slay some Bernite's. Cheerio!" (okay, Eliwood doesn't actually sound like that, and I realize he was looking for his father, but still). Anywho, Hector gets my vote simply for stats, Lyn for story, and Eliwood for... uh... *brainstorms something decent*... being concerned about his father? ~KaiserPhoenix
  5. I am thinking darkening some of the greens and adding some blacks, and perhaps replacing the heron's with Raven's. That's my input in it. It would definitely make it more aesthetically pleasing to me at least. I'd even be willing to put some work into it if I got the go-ahead and someone gave me a copy of the forum's pictures to edit on my own (if I can ever figure out how to do everything I was doing in photoshop in GIMP). <<<< Why I haven't made my own banner/avatar btw. Best case: it could become a secondary skin (my old forum had a "light" and "dark" skin themselves) Worse Case: it completely gets discarded. *shrugs* I'll be here, even if I despise the color scheme (I usually have multiple windows up so I don't actually have to look at the site for long periods of time, headaches and all). ~KaiserPhoenix
  6. Ahh, I really don't know, I am very much ruled by my emotions (alas my lovelife), but most everything I rule towards logic (ala, if 2+2 isn't equal to 4, I try and figure out where in the hell something is wrong). I also must say I don't have much artistic taste (and is thusly why I will never be rich, lmao) So, I am mostly Left-sided. Though, I do have to say there was a point made earlier - Brain Hemispheres aren't a proven fact, and it's also not proven we always use the same hemispheres. Good topic, though. ~KaiserPhoenix
  7. Ahh yes... 17... when I really actually had to give a crap about whether I was shaven or not (as it was against the rules of the school to grow a beard or have any facial hair to compete with the teachers because they were insecure *cough*). I had small growth, but it was everywhere (save up near my cheekbones, it kinda went from my sideburns, under my jaw, then back up to a goatee). You'd definitely look better shaven though probably (not an expert), not sure chicks dig the 'chops. Of course, it depends on the girl... one of my girlfriends dug the mountain man look, the other required I be clean shaven or she wouldn't even kiss me -_-;;. Most I find like the day or two after I shave, not sure why that is exactly, though, haha. Happy facegrowth :P. ~KaiserDragoon
  8. -_-;; I'll ignore this post and answer your question. It's something I used to do at old forums as like my thing, I wanted something different that most people don't do, and I chose that. *shrugs* Not really special, just something I do more-less out of habit. And if I had known there were that many Phoenix on board, I woulda gone with my normal Dragoon ending. Anyways... ~KaiserPhoenix
  9. Haha, he's saying he looks like one of the Japanese sushi chef's. And, yes, he does kinda look like one, albiet only slightly >.>;; ~KaiserPhoenix
  10. /sigh She is better for team battles too, I simply don't say that because I figure me quoting stats shoulda been enough indication. Plus, this IS a personal opinion thread, not and you aren't stating anything that isn't your own personal experience as well. If we go off stats, Nino is the best. If we go off of how long you get said character for, Erk would win. If you go off who's the the highest(when you get them), Pent would win. Thusly, anything could constitute "the best" and "the best" in most of all cases is a matter of opinion rather than facts. ~KaiserPhoenix I am simply gonna edit this one, because I am tired of this stupid argument, (which is borderline trolling) and I am just going to put out there that I think you're wrong on most levels, but I don't really care anymore, this topic is dead to me, and I am moving on.
  11. Funny, I always get my Nino to 20/20... odd. On top of that, I said she joins later in the game, did I not? I think she's worth raising, my own opinion, maybe not yours, but it is mine. I definitely feel she's an irreplaceable powerhouse spot in my team. ~KaiserPhoenix
  12. Well, I said I wasn't gonna ask, I figured it was personal :P But, anyways, I just posted that to letcha' know that I think it's awesome what you're doing and thanking you for doing it ^^;; not so much putting my nose in your business (though I was curious, I just wanted to lengthen the post to more than a sentence, you know, so I don't look like a complete noob my first few days at SF.) I too need to learn Japanese, as I have been being lazy and not doing so already >.>;; Hard finding classes on how to do it, I'll probably end up having to by a PC learning software thing or something. ~KaiserPhoenix
  13. Become part of the Thieves guild. Their "fencing" is a godsend when you have stolen goods to get rid of. Also, I am really envious of those of you who were smart and got the PC version. My "ecks-bawks" isn't very community mod friendly it would seem. And the graphics for the interface is different... I watched my friend play his PC copy and was like "huh, I don't remember that being in that color scheme..." ~KaiserPhoenix
  14. I was actually going to ask that same question, and I am thankful someone a little older in the forum asked. I was going to join a long time ago, but, the green in this site hurts my eyes quite a bit, and was actually gonna ask if there was already an option there that I wasn't seeing to re-skin the forum to make it a bit more pleasing to the eye. ~Kaiser Phoenix
  15. /facepalm She's NOT the worse, I would have to say she's the best stat wise out of all of them (as I've said in another thread, all of the other sages max out at 28 magic, she's the only sage and the only other character in the game aside Canas who gets 30 magic, which she EASILY gets) and her other growths are badass (aside her Defense, health, and the unfortunate constitution). So, you saying she's the worse character is unjustified, at best. The major thing she has going against her is the fact that she's only available for the last what... 10 or so chapters? Even so, she's worth getting maxed out simply because she owns the face off of anyone who gets in her way *shrugs* just saying. ~KaiserPhoenix P.S. I personally raise Erk and never use Pent, for the record.
  16. As a US Citizen, I am used to people thinking we're stupid savages who care about nothing but the material things in life. I personally don't watch the news because of this, crap like this. Last time I found a news article was back when the Wii first came to the states. Radio show was doing a competition "hold your Wee for a Wii." Innocent sounding enough. Wikipedia here if you don't already know what happened. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDND Basically though, there are a lot of people who don't care about the suffering of other people, and as a country, America is pointed at the most for this. Why? Because people let their children get away with anything. No, not everyone, but there are a lot who do. Now, I know, I am generalizing, but it's pretty damn close to the truth of the matter, it starts when we're children and we keep those habits as adults. I personally was raised with the fear of god and a strong sense of what's right and what's wrong. This monstrosity caused by black friday, this is wrong, the whole event is wrong, and the people who were offended by being made to leave Wal-Mart were the sickest of them all. I really think the event as a whole should be banned. ~KaiserPhoenix
  17. Really, thank you. I wanted to read these manga, and you are making it possible. Oh, and I >won't< ask why you're putting them on hold, take all the time you need :D. Keep doing what you're doing and you have the whole community backing you up, don't forget that. ~Kaiser Phoenix
  18. Agreed. Though, I do have to say, a lot of JRPG's have really young looking females in roles and... situations that would probably put the developers in the relm of would-be pedo >.>;;. Also, I still think she's worth raising, personally, even for the chapters you have her. Sure, she's hard to raise, and those stat bonus's kinda suck on HP and Defense, but, she can pretty much take on a map by herself when you get her 20/20 simply because of how powerful she is. Oh, and another downside to her is her Constitution, which I completely forgot about. THAT would be the only reason I don't use her. Trying to use Excalibur on her is hard because of how low her constitution is (it slows her down a lot). ~KaiserPhoenix
  19. I don't think that was >Quite< what he was getting at there. The controls themselves felt sluggish (at least to me, skidding 3 feet wasn't fun at all) and having to trudge through every cave, forest, and dungeon to get back to where you were before was really freaking tedious, even then (RPG's were starting to come onto the horizon, and the "save" feature on DQ 2 saved where you were, and your experience(and yes, I know this wasn't exactly a "rpg" but it had RPG elements, so comparison is there)). Personally, I won't EVER call Adventure of Link the >BEST< Zelda game ever... but it's certainly not the worse (those spots remain filled by the terrible CD-i games, shame on Phillips for EVER releasing those), and I occasionally pick it up and play it because it's such an important milestone in the Zelda Universe, but, overall, I didn't think the game was all that great, and will probably be only worshipped by the cult followers. ~KaiserPhoenix On an off note, I want to say I loved Star Tropics, which was like a weird child of Zelda 1 and 2, yet had it's own thing going for it.
  20. O. I only found out because my brother is O, and O is recessive, so meh. ~KaiserPhoenix
  21. Nothing! Wait a sec... *plays On the Go 3 Playlist on shuffle* Uhh... Taking Over Me - Evanescence ~KaiserPhoenix Edit: Somebody Told Me - The Killers (thought it was a good edit, alright?)
  22. Yeah, they did. I don't even think there was a "killing" knife either, which made the only assassin in 9 really... suck. Back to the topic... Legault if I had to use Fell Contract, but my Jaffar usually ends up with the same stats (or better), so, meh. Matthew, though, sucked in the stat department. He generally always had the worse stats for me (I usually try my best to raise everyone to 20/20) assassin-wise. So, if I only had the one Fell and I >HAD< to use it, it would go to Legault, otherwise, I'd just stick with Jaffar. ~KaiserPhoenix (PS: Guy Rules, and so do Assassin's)
  23. Nino. Period. I thought she was the most interesting out of all of them, being a former Black Fang and all of that fun stuff. Plus, she has like, the best stats in the game, the only growths that come anywhere close to hers are Oswin's, and Oswin is pretty much always in my link team with her. Her cap in magic is higher than all of the other sages too (30 compared to.. 28 I thinks?). Her really only downside is her health and defense (both of which are terrible on the growths). Also, she's the only girl out of the three, so, she definitely wins, right? ~KaiserPhoenix
