  1. Let's not do that again. That was just dumb. Critical hits determined the entire battle. EDIT: Strange thought, could someone control the clock for a 50 min period? That way they could manipulate the critical hit rates? That would be an interesting experiment. . .
  2. I'm up for a battle if anyone wants one.
  3. Mostly, I lost due to ridersbanes. I like using my Sylvan team on with anyone, because every unit can be killed 1-1 (no apotrope kills horsemen, berserker with 25 speed can be doubled, Xane and a weak sage). Given a team that doesn't have these flaws, it should be easier to win. Especially since mizz's team has a gereral, 18 def swordmaster, etc. I use my Sylvan team on with anyone, because it helps build tactics. If I just used my strongest team, I'd never learn. So I use my 2 weakest teams (DivineCrusade being the other one) on with anyone play.
  4. We played 3 games 1st game I was using DivineCrusade, map 4 - I lost 2nd game I was using Sylvan, map somethingIcan'tRemember(1?) - I won 3rd game I was using Sylvan, map 4 - I lost IIRC, mizz's team was NEW.BREED each time. I didn't use TABAZ or my RNG abused team.
  5. hmm, should have post in the wifi forum. I normally don't check here. But yeah you did. It was 1 all at that point. (unless you count beating my team with no forged weapons.)
  6. It's a really arguable topic. Even one unit changed on a team changes a matchup greatly. Imagine 3 swordmasters vs 3 horsemen. Normally, horsemen have the advantage. Higher movement and range weapons. Yet if the 3 swordmaster team has 2 berserkers, then the battle shifts back, because horsemen can be 1 hit KO'ed. While swordmasters can't. Then again, you'd want a sage, so the odds shift again. You'd basically be limited to unit vs unit comparisons. (which is what I made my chart and stuff on). 3 horsemen vs 3 swordmasters is interchangeable with 1 swordmaster vs 1 horseman. It would be possible to construct a list of common teams, and compare them. But you'd have to decide on all 5 units before comparing one team to another.
  7. Oh, right. Well you come up as meteor on my FC list, I would have noticed if I played you on with anyone. I mostly posted the clip here, because I know a bunch of people are using the exact same team on wifi if it was just quanchino using the team, I wouldn't have posted. (to check, look and see if Radd has no lote's shield). I think there are 5 people in total (myself included) with that team/ds name. Although I haven't been in touch with the rest of them recently.
  8. There's more than 1 person with that team on wifi, using the name ds. Your ds name is still "meteor"? if it is, then I didn't play you. I've only played a total of 4 battles in the last month.
  9. Yeah, I already had the team at that point. I think I was using a weaker 5 flying unit one on wifi around then (I put that team in my guide, but not the judgment double warp one, since the 5 flying team can only take advantage of map 2, rather than all the other maps.) I think that team was called Map2~p1 =D or something. Hmm, I might go looking and see if I can find when I made it. . . But it was built around the same time as my second TABAZ!!!! team. (I made three teams in succession, RNG abused 5 horseman, 3 berserkers and the double warp.) Out of those, I only released them once other people began to make them. You can probably go back and find a large chunk of posts from me about the 3 berserker and aum glitch, that was about the same time as I built this team. EDIT: I don't think it was me you played.
  10. It works on map 4, without screwing up map 6. Although my strategy is probably different to yours. I take it down to 4-4 on the first turn, then stay hidden in fog. That means the opponent is left to use 1 scout, and be left with 3 other units, provided they don't have the 1-1 counter to your scout, it'll result in a win for player 1. My team is set up like: DB BS S D=draco, B=berserker, S=sage So I can't warp the draco without moving the berserker, and the berserks are too far away from the door to open it. If I swap a berserker and a sage, then it'll work. And the map 6 win won't be affected, since it'll only be swapping the order of the units in 1 corner. About the only counter to this team, is critical hits (using dazzle is probably the worst thing to do against this team), umbra stops the map 6 and map 4 wins, since you can't warp over walls, but it greatly aids map 1, since they can stay hidden in fog. I doubt it would become commonplace to have this team on with anyone, since it relies so heavily on going first to win. EDIT: I can't remember exactly when I made this team, but it was around the time of the RNG abuse debate. I was trying to invent a team that involved tactics, over stats. So that's why I made it and is also why I kept stressing people needed to put more thought into teams, than just maxing stats. When I realised how broken it was, I decided against using it (I posted some hints to the team on my guide, but never the full thing). But I figured, if someone else managed to come up with the same idea, without seeing my team, then I should probably release the team anyway.
  11. Actually, it's every map except map 5 where it's virtually unbeatable. I have my team in the wrong formation for it to work in map 4, which is why I didn't post it in that clip, and everyone knows about map 3. That leaves 5/6 maps broken.
  12. Oh right, lol. I've had that team for ages, just never used it because of how cheap it was. I guess great minds think alike =P I'm not sure if win ratio determines who goes first, or if it's just sheer number of wins/losses. I do know, that someone with 50 battles is almost certain to be player 2, while someone with 2000 battles is almost certain to be player 1. I don't know if wins/losses actually affects this or not.
  13. If your team is anything like my cheap team I'd agree: What makes it even more cheap, is that on with anyone, since I have so many battles/wins, I almost never go second. But people are spared from this, since I don't really play any more XD
  14. So, would this team be ok? Catria, lvl 20, Paladin: Max hp, str, def, speed, luck, skill. -Gradivus, pure water, key, etc Xane, lvl 1 -Silver Lance, Javelin, Vulnerary, Pure Water, etc Elice, lvl 1 -Recover, warp. Then of course, you can have up to 2 more level 20, or level 18 units. But I doubt they would be needed. Most level 10 units wouldn't be able to hurt a 30-def paladin. Let alone be able to kill it in 1 turn without it fully healing from gradivus. (you'd be able to do around 14 damage with a swordmaster using mercurius, hitting twice)
  15. Actually, I won't participate in this.
  16. I wouldn't feel differently at all. But just fighting teams like that, is pointless. There is no skill to playing the game at that level. No matter what method was used to make such a team, it destroys any semblance of tactics that the game has.
  17. I'm sorry meteor. But that's a hacked team. If that's seriously RNG abused. Then today is the day I stop playing Fire Emblem.
  18. Two things, one this is unenforceable. If I know the opponent is going to be using dazzle, I can equip adamant and get +1 def, nobody is the wiser. Second is that it restricts classes like horsemen, paladins, generals, manaketes and flying units. If you put a limit in place, people are going to go at that limit. Saying res and mag are limited, is going to incline people to max every other stat. Hey, it happens. This is cool =D Aside from that, I don't actually have any suggestions. If you can live with those restrictions, there is nothing wrong with it, and of course, just trust people not to abuse them and it's all good.
  19. Do you mean for a team? Sages come to mind. With 30 mag, and enough def/hp to survive being doubled, they can 2 hit KO people, counter from 1-2 range, heal and use swarm. Without RNG abuse, there is no way you'll get enough 30 mag sages, but with RNG abuse, it should be a simple ordeal.
  20. I'll sign up. DS name: Sylvan FC: 330883624286 The rules sound a bit "meh", IMO. They stop braves, but don't limit RNG abuse. Also, the use of Dazzle stops people using Apotrope. I'll sign up for them with a tentative yes, but I can think of a few teams which will be broken.
