  1. Okey dokey, 'sacrificial lamb 1' is out of the inexplicable comm. deadzone at the heart of his local county (not going there again any time soon) and able to participate. Time to see how many people are seeing my unavoidable 11 hour silence as suspicious. ...At least eleven hours of thread should give me something to base my own suspicions on. Back in a mo, once I do a quick eval. of the voting so far. (...New player policy? Uh oh...)
  2. I'm interested as well, BUT I have yet to actually play a Mafia game (been keeping an eye on this board for a while though). If you want experienced players only (for whatever reason) then obviously leave me out. I don't mind being listed as a substitute (seeing as it looks (/\) like I'm too late for a starting place). So, from the blurb in the OP, this looks like a fairly simple Mafia setup - no particularly extravagant gimmicks. Did I read that right?
  3. Well in general; Kingdom Hearts 1 for its clunky control scheme - and if I have to listen to the Traverse Town music for six hours then I will go mad. Thankfully things greatly improved for the sequels. Then we have Dark Cloud for its blatant cut and paste, monotonous dungeons (though I understand other people do like this game). And lastly, Patapon as a "punishment after playing" example - love the games, do not love hearing "pata-pon, pata-pon, pata-pata-pata-PON!" go round my head for days after I've stopped playing it! (Plus the difficulty and grinding required in 3 is just cruel).
  4. Chrom: 138 Marth: 180 Celica: 48 Seliph: 2 (-2) Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 40 Hector: 114 Ike: 180 Lucina: 134 (+1) Eirika: 96 Ephraim: 124 ...What's that Seliph? Feeling a bit under the weather you say?
  5. I'd be interested in seeing that as well. Just as long as the flame breath comes from the mouth and not from some random spot in mid air. (Astra, that's a comment aimed at Do5.
  6. Oh, that's a nasty one! You're asking me to hunt down favourite qoutes from the 500 odd novels lying round my bedroom? Sheesh that's a tall order! ...I'll be right back. (In the meantime I'll leave a non novel qoute from Terry Pratchett (The Unadulterated Cat) - "An Alsatian is just a wolf in a collar, biding its time...")
  7. (Who's that..? Clearly I need to play more of the older FE's) Chrom: 133 Marth: 180 Celica: 52 Seliph: 26 Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 50 (-2) Hector: 110 Ike: 180 Lucina: 131 (+1) Eirika: 102 Ephraim: 122 (And the Lucina war continues...)
  8. Chrom: 132 Marth: 180 Alm: 4 Celica: 54 Seliph: 32 Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 51 (-2) Hector: 109 Ike: 180 Lucina: 132 (+1) Eirika: 102 Ephraim: 123 (Ike, watch out. I'll finally have PoR tomorrow, and then we'll see if you live up to the hype. (Until then, I'm leaving him untouched))
  9. Chrom: 132 Marth: 180 Alm: 8 Celica: 54 Seliph: 34 Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 55 (-2) Hector: 108 Ike: 180 Lucina: 130 (+1) Eirika: 103 Ephraim: 122 ...Eliwood, your days are numbered!
  10. *Gets friendly Bishop to Lightning nuke it in mid air.* *...chucks Bishop.* Gratitude..? Gratitude is having a day off.
  11. I've got no choice but to jump on the Batman bandwagon. He doesn't need fancy superpowers to get the job done! Just martial arts, gadgets and a whole load of wits! (Plus I like his whole character and associated personality). ...I bet the next QOTD is going to be about supervillains...
  12. Chrom: 129 Marth: 180 Alm: 16 Celica: 54 Seliph: 40 Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 57 (-2) Hector: 108 Ike: 179 Lucina: 128 (+1) Eirika: 106 Ephraim: 120 (Something tells me this is going to end in a Marth/Ike duel.)
  13. Yep, a few of us would rather wait than get a buggy mess. Of course, some bugs get through regardless (eg; Maiden Quest always deleting my save data on reaching Ch. 2 and forcing the use of save states from there on), but we can live with the odd minor one.
  14. (Time to repay some of that 'hurt' I cruelly inflicted on Marth earlier...) Chrom: 122 Marth: 174 (+1) Alm: 42 Celica: 64 Seliph: 56 Lyn/Lyndis: 101 Eliwood: 66 Hector: 106 Ike: 180 Lucina: 122 Eirika: 110 Ephraim: 120 (-2) ...And that's for not even trying to dodge, Ephraim.
  15. Actually, it switched straight into colour after that. It was one of the first programs selected to be fully in colour. And my answer is that episode as well. It got me addicted to Hogan's Heroes, which means massive internet data bills for me, because Youtube is the only way to watch them outside America and Australia (short of buying a region free DVD player for that one show, which even Hogan's Heroes isn't enough to warrant doing). Apart from that, the only monochrome things I can remember that I particularly liked were a little remembered movie called 'The Big Job' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Job_(film)), and that precursor to 'The Two Ronnies', 'The Frost Report'. Clearly, I like old comedies!
  16. Chrom: 112 Marth: 164 (-2) Alm: 66 Celica: 78 Seliph: 83 Lyn/Lyndis: 102 Eliwood: 75 Hector: 100 Ike: 179 Lucina: 114 (+1) Eirika: 110 Ephraim: 126 (Sorry Marth, but your performance in Shadow Dragon gets you one hurt (before I start healing you for New Mystery of the Emblem reasons). But hey, you're still way ahead of most of the competition...)
  17. I've seen black Eliwood too, and just to throw a curveball in, it happened when I was playing via DS and cartridge. For all I know it happened on GBA as well, but I can't remember that far back...
  18. ...Or discussing who they'd most like to spear. I reckon that'd be one list I'm near the top of...
  19. ...Can't think of any game characters who specialise in it (although quite a few with the odd ability here and there), but I'd liketo be able to fiddle with local weather. Summer was too hot, and who could say no to the ability to summon a tiny personal thunderstorm/blizzard to follow around that twerp who's been bugging you? But if we have to choose a specific character/class, then I'll go for a voluntary shapeshifter. Preferably one who isn't confined to one creature; e.g. the Druids from World of Warcraft. Think of the places you could go as a common sparrow, or what japes you could play as a wolf!
  20. Dagnamit! Who let the ninjas out!? Fine, I've got the screenshots, I'll post them anyway. Why has this debate suddenly sent the thread mad with activity..? Just to clear things up once and for all, here's Annelise using the Ranseur. That's against enemies in 'Glitch Mode' (Dragon's Gate); she normally does more damage than that. And this is how my Peg. Knights match up. Nothing like Paperblade's Ilanice on either front, but I don't generally engage in RNG abuse (not that I'm saying he did, but I'm reasonably sure my characters are following the stat calculator fairly closely). ...Except for Seren. I think it's pretty obvious who the RNG thief is in my game...
  21. ...And there I was thinking Annelise was the go-to Peg. Knight. I mean, she can actually damage things, and doesn't come crashing to the ground if someone looks at her funny. Clearly I'm missing something here...Edit: No, wait, don't tell me; respective joining times, Ilanice's better res (Musain!), and the Ch. 10 Master Seal. Should have thought of the speedrun players. Personally though, I prefer a nice even slew of levels and characters who don't lose half of their health in one battle. Ilanice is still level 19 (Mus.) and 17 (Ond.) for me, but Annelise generally has better survivability, and in Do5, that's what really matters. (And I know Eclipse posted below me, but I'm not constantly bumping the thread just to comment.)
  22. Yep, the Linus version of Four Fanged Assault. I looked at it and reacted (roughly) with "What the heck makes a Corsair different from a Pirate?". Hence my suggesting Corsair here. Also, female nomad? What's that doing in FE7's code? Isn't the only female Nomad Sue from FE6?
  23. Hmm, let's see... how the heck have all the good ones been taken?!? ...So, procastination, too much lurking on Serenes, and not staying committed to any one of the dozen or so stories I'm writing at the moment. Also not sticking to the 'one' part of the question.
  24. Catches, chucks at Marisa to fix her strength problem. ...trips over Dark Stone. Sees a flash, looks up to see Fomortiis looming over him. "Uh... hi!" (...No way I'm going to be able to chuck him) "Uhm... that fella has a Sacred Stone!" (points at next poster)
