  1. Here's my a short list: [spoiler=Fates] Joshua (FE 8): He just didn't want the role he was born into. It's not that he outright hated the idea. He just wasn't ready. Ephraim: Same as above prettymuch. He becomes king more or less because there was literally no one else. LOL. Naesala (FE 10): Once the reason for his personality is explained, it all makes sense. Soren (FE 9): His support with Ike. Well, damn. Certain things certainly make sense in RD. Pelleas (FE 10): The guy was a puppet but played his role to the end. I kept him alive in recurring playthroughs. Sephrain/Lehran (FE 10): He was Lawful Evil but he played the part so well =O Yune (FE 10): She was Chaotic Good. She even had the presence of mind to protect Ike and Micaiah's forces from her other self's power as soon as she was unsealed XD Henry (FE 11): Had the misfortune of being born with powerful magic. I think he is also the only recruitable Plegian with clothes pretty close in design to Robin's. Priam (FE 11): The only proof we have Ike eventually settled down, got married and had kids. LOL. Camilla: See below quote. Saw her B-Support with Niles and was blown away. Peri: Saw her A-Support with Odin. Turns out she's bipolar =O Solei: Known in the west as the first openly gay FE character, she is also literally Female Laslow/Owain. LOL. Nyx: Her B and A-Supports with Leo reminded me of Laurent from Awakening: like Nyx, he is older than the other Awakening Children but in his case he was sent even further back in time than Lucina was. Anankos' Soul: How can you not like him? That is my short list. LOL. You're referring to Camilla's B-Support Convo with Niles. I just saw it yesterday. She tells all prettymuch
  2. ...I'm probably in the minority holding out hope Beach Brawl and Royal Royale get their difficulties toned down--at least give folks to option of using their own royals if they recruited them or something. If not that then an alternate means of getting inf. Dread Scrolls/Ebon Wings (I do have all 3 Campaigns on that note but it's limited to 2 of each per playthrough. LOL). On topic: I expect 1 more map pack, maybe 2. There will need to be a map pack for Paragon though. No doubt about that. I think we will see two more major story Map Packs: One in Set 3 and the other in Set 4: One Set will follow Selena/Severa, Laslow/Inigo and Odin/Owain post-Fates. How it could be set up without getting into the campaign's ending depends on the Campaign you're on. Birthright: After Garon is defeated, the Awakening Trio decide they are no longer needed in this world and decide to return to travel to Valla so they can return to Ylisse. Looking to jump at the opportunity to finish the job they started before Arete shows up with Sumeragi and Mikoto to ambush the three. As luck would have it, the other Nohrian Retainers + Leo and Camilla show up to lend a hand. They were led to Valla by Azura's power to help them out. After the battle, the three finally reveal their secret. Mission accomplished, they've decided to return to their own world. They get a nice sendoff before departing. Conquest: After Garon is defeated, the Awakening Trio decide to travel to Valla and defeat the dragon Anankos as they promised when they first came, bringing some of their Nohrian friends with them. Anankos is not amused, vowing to ensure they never leave the throne room alive. This is a 2-part batle. In the first battle, every few turns more reinforcements from Nohr show up to help. Try as they might, they can't seem to land the finishing blow and are forced to retreat. At the start of the second battle, Corrin finally arrives only s/he has the Omega Yato. The reason s/he took so long was s/he decided to visit Izuna, who helped him unlock the sword's true form. With the Fire Emblem, Anankos is defeated forever. The Awakening Trio reveal their origins and tell Korrin s/he is neither Nohrian or Hoshidan but is actually from Valla, the realm they are now in. They then depart from Ylisse. Revelations: The Awakening Trio quietly depart for Ylisse. They decide to return to the world they came from. Because of Anankos' death, there is a glitch with the transport magic and they are sent to the Valm Castle Approach. Chrom's forces have just arrived and they are more than a little surprised to see the trio appear out of thin air. The three decide at least they made it back at all and turn their attention to helping Chrom break through. About halfway through the battle, Corrin shows up with warriors from Nohr and Hoshido to help out. The three are surprised but decide to figure out how they got there after the battle. After driving off Walhart, Corrin explains he discovered by accident the Omega Yato has the power to transport people across space-time. He simply used its power to travel to Ylisse. Chrom, Frederick and Lisse remember Corrin, Jakob and Felicia from their meeting in the Before Awakening DLC map. Since their world is at peace. Corrin offers to help Chrom with their campaign. The other set would be more Awakening crossover only it would be cross-game: Peace has been achieved in Ylisse. Chrom and Corrin decide to have a skirmish, putting their forces against each other in Regna Ferox to see which army is stronger. Which side you fight for decides the reward: Fight as Chrom's forces and you will get the Hoshidan/Nohrian Noble Class Seal, Maid and Butler Class Seals sent to Awakening randomly plus one of the Yato Blades and randomly. You redeem it as Spotpass Data. Shops in Awakening will also now sell Ninja Scrolls (promote to Master Ninja Class only but learns Replicate and Poison Strike but not Lethality or Locktouch, which are learned by other classes in Awakening), Rods, Daggers and Shuriken due to a major update added ahead of the DLC to Awakening. Fight as Corrin's Forces and you will get the Grandmaster Seal and Lodestar Seals randomly plus the Parellel Falchion (Lodestar Class Only), Levin Sword (Grandmaster Class Only; Can cause Critical Hits which the Kodachi can't) and Thoron (Grandmaster Class Only) randomly. ...Sorry, headcanon got a little carried away there XD I am secretly hoping there will be an update that will allow folks to get DLC Skills from MyCastle if they own the DLC Content it would have come from. I have two 3DS Consoles so...yeah. LOL.
  3. I said movie, not show. The right studio could make Tellius work. I also think there is enough material in the source games to make a decient trilogy. It would be a fantasy epic and each film would be at least two, maybe three hours long. Studios these days like to max out at 250 mins including the credits. A straight to DVD/Blu-Ray release would be a viable Plan B. ...All the rest would be Anime at the least or live-action 45 to 60 minute series. Fates would have 3 different stories more than likely if they don't go with just Revelations. Sacred Stones would split the story as well.
  4. Answer all of these questions: 1. Which FE game should it be? 2, Which studio should do it? 3, Who should direct it? 4. What Creative Liberties would you be ok with? 5. Should there be a video game promotion attached? 6. What should be next if the first one is successful? I'm thinking of how the Warcraft Movie was approached in my thinking: Recognizable to fans who know the universe but can be marketed to everyone else. In the case of Fire Emblem, it has only been widely known in the US since 2003 when Fire Emblem Blazing Sword (released as Fire Emblem for the GBA) was released. They would have to go with a game that is known to fans but like Warcraft, would bring in new fans too. I would go with the original Fire Emblem. It would help to start with the game where it all began. Legendary Pictures is the only studio that could realistically do it as it would be a big budge film. The director could be Michael Bay (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) or Duncan Jones (Warcraft). Everyone's hair would need to be normalized but Marth's should be left blue. It can be explained in the plot by saying he wears the wig in battle instead of a helmet so everyone knows who he is on the battlefield. There could be a cross-game promotion involving Fates where you get his class + Class Skills delivered via Spotpass ala Vanguard Class. If it does well, the next movie should be Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance + Radiant Dawn. It would be a trilogy: First movie covers all of PoR but focuses on the major plot points: The movie opens with Greil getting killed by the Black Knight in their duel, which Ike witnesses. Ike vows to avenge his father and agrees to help Elincia as the new leader of the Greil Mercenaries. Movie skimps through Ike meeting Cainghis, Kurthnaga and Tibarn. Their importance is clearly established. The Main Plot is the Mad King's War with Ashnard but there are two secondary plots: The racism between Beorc and Laguz (setting the stage for the second movie) and Greil's past (setting the stage for the third movie). The first movie would end with Ashnard's death and Sephrain (Lehran) foretelling Ike's role in the events of Radiant Dawn. The second movie would focus on the first half of RD: The movie opens with the uprising in Daen and Michiah coming into her own as the Silver Haired Maiden. The Black Knight--long believed dead--is back and helps liberate Daein from the Begnion Empire, which seized control of the country after The Mad King's War. Things shift to the civil war in Crimea. Thanks to The Greil Mercenaries, Lucia's life is saved. Gallia and Phoenicis declare war on Begnion after the events of the Serenes Massacre. They spent the last few years investigating the truth using intel they got from the Greil Mercenaries. When the nobles refuse to accept responsability, war is declared (cue epic war montage). The movie ends with Daein joining the fight on the side of Begnion. Due to the blood pact Michaiah unknowingly signed with a Begnion noble, she is forced to take up arms against Ike, the hero of the Mad King's war. The movie ends with Ike and Micaiah fighting in a fort to a draw. Micaiah knows their side is in the wrong but due the the blood pact she has no choice but to lead Daein in battle against the Greil Mercenaries. The movie ends with Zelgius breaking Sephrain out of prison. The third movie would finish the story: The movie would open with the previous empress of Begnion confiding in Sephrain about being one of the Branded. Lehran then tells her the story of the goddess Ashunera and the battle Altina fought against her alongside Soan and Dghensia. Then shifts Serenes Forest burning after the empress is assassinated. Unknown to even Lehran, the true heir to the throne Micaiah is missing. Her younger sister is crowned empress in her place. The scene shifts to the epic fight before Ashera's Judgement. Sephrain awakens Ashera, who petrifies everyone who doesn't have Yune's protection. At this, Ike and Micaiah join forces to take on a common enemy. Secrets of the past are revealed as Yune's forces travel to Begnion. Kurthnaga and Ina travel separately to Goldoa and are shocked to find their people are all missing. Sanaki realizes while traveling with Micaiah she's her older sister and the true heir to Begnion. Ike doesn't find out the Black Knight's identity until he meets him in person. When Sephrain is confronted, his true identity is also revealed. Ranulf doesn't randomly spoil it like in the game. The Dragon King reveals to the Heroes of Tellius he was the one who rewrote history on purpose to avoid the very situation they were now in. As the group confronts Ashera, Yune tells Ike once she's struck down, the two will become one again. After the war, it's revealed Soren was actually Ashnard's son and the true heir to Daein's throne. Soren declines Micaiah's offer to take the throne saying she's better suited for the task. Sanaki interjects saying she was hoping he'd accept so she could ask her sister to take her place as the true empress of Begnion. Lehran interjects, saying some rules are meant to be broken. It was a lesson he learned watching her grow and especially after meeting Ike. It would be a massive undertaking if this trilogy happened but it would look awesome in my book. As you can see, I clearly gave this some thought. LOL. ...Finally: I apologize if this topic has been done to death.
  5. I'm wondering if there might be more to the clips used in the Nohr-Hoshido War montage.By that, I mean more footage than what's in the finished product. I figure even if there is, it's unlikely to ever be released. On a related subject, I've been wondering for a while if Xander, Hinoka, Leo and Camilla were originally going to be a different class. All four use mounts but they could have easily been a different class: Xander: I think he may have originally been meant to be a Hero, another Nohr Class opposite Ryoma being a Swordmaster. You don't see him mounted outside other than in the Prologue or during Chapter 6 in cutscenes and video clips involving him. The decision to make him a Paladin instead was likely done to complement his trademark weapon, Siegfried. It IS a pretty big sword though he can clearly use it with one hand. Leo: Obviously, he was meant to be a Sorcerer He has the design down already though as a Nohrian Prince, he's a Dark Knight instead. Strangely, you never see him mounted outside combat and his VS AMV. Hinoka: I think she was originally going to be a Spear Fighter/Master but making her a Sky/Falcon Knight fits her growth as a character pre-Fates much better. You do see her mounted in both her VS AMV and the Birthright Ending AMV. Camilla: I think she was originally going to be either a Berserker or a Sorcerer and they couldn'y settle on one. The Malig Knight is the solution being able to use Magic and Axes. LOL. Unlike the other three you never see her mounted outside combat. That's the most telling in my opinion she was definitely meant to be a different class. ...Plus with all four they needed to balance them with their respective retainers XD Sakura and Elise are both Healers, Takumi is clearly an Archer/Sniper and Ryoma is obviously a Swordmaster. Those four are clearly defined. Xander, Leo, Hinoka and Camilla, on the other hand are a different story. Thoughts on my theory and earlier question welcomed <3
  6. Off-topic Question for the admins: Can we go ahead and pin this already? On topic: I would love to hear the Conquest variant of Lost in Thoughts.("Embrace the dark you call a home...") When I start my new job in a few weeks, I will definitely contribute to one of the kickstarter campaigns ^_^
  7. Well you'll need a 3DS or a New Nintendo 3DS to play Fates on. Nintendo 3DS: New Nintendo 3DS: A DS won't work. It has to be one of these consoles. As for why there are suddenly so many DS variants, blame Nintendo for releasing a new one every few years for some reason (LOL). I have two 3DS consoles and 2 DS consoles myself due to just having alot of handheld games. I also have two PS Vitas on that note XD
  8. One of the admins should take point on that in my opinion. Shouldn't be too hard to crowdfund the cash needed to hook our first celebrity up ;)
  9. That is awesome! She is quite the character in the game. As I said in the review I wrote for the game on my blog a few months back, I liked what was done with her character in the game. She had the vibe of knowing more about more than a few things but withholding spoilers, it turned out there was a pretty good reason for that. I got confirmation back in February the sequel is coming to North America later this year! Looking forward to it ^_^ That aside, I think it's fair to say by now the Serenes Forest Community will support you in your future endeavors. Your voice is amazing. You're now in my top 5 favorite English Voice Actors. You join the likes of David Matranga (who I met at Anime Boston a few years ago), Luci Christian, Greg Ayers and Johnny Bosch Young. Keep being awesome <3
  10. That is indeed a copy of Trails of Cold Steel on the shelf =O Who do you voice in that game? I have the PS Vita version and am on my 2nd playthrough.
  11. If they do a Sacred Stones remake, hell yes. Otherwise it depends.
  12. I own a physical copy of Conquest and Birthright--one for each 3DS. I also bought the digital copy for the other campaign + Revelations twice. $160 well spent. LOL. Base Conquest/Birthright game (digital or physical) = $40 each ($80 Total). Conquest/Birthright Campain (DLC) = $20 each ($40 total) Revelations Campaign (DLC) = $20 each ($40 total) There ya go XD
  13. Yeash...Furthest I got was half the teams with Ryoma and Leo. This is ridiculous for a DLC Map. Felt the same way about Apotheosis in Awakening and I cleared that map more than a few times >.>; RR/BB has too much reliance on luck and ZERO room for error to be considered a fair challenge. Mor so given you're forced to use premades. At least with Apotheosis you could use your own units. It also took a certain degree of skill to clear and prepwork. You get neither with RR/BB. With Royal Royale and Beach Brawl, it's all luck-based. This is why I hate these maps where I can't use my own units. I can see the difficulty being nerfed in a patch down the road. That or being given the option of using some of your own units in addition to what you're given to work with. Folks are asking for it on Social Media as well. ...If the difficulty was meant to discourage people from even trying, well mission accomplished. At least with Apotheosis, the prize (Katarina) justified the difficulty. BB/RR's doesn't.
  14. Hmm...I'd put Conquest-L+ in the top 3 behind HHM and RDVH, just ahead of FE6 and and FE5. On the other end, Birthright behind Sacred Stones-Erika and just ahead of FE5. ...And yes, I've played 'em all.
  15. Some of Henry's supports where he talks about his past infers he was taken in by the Grimleal because his powers manifested before he was even born. He may have been viewed as a human weapon to Plegia in lieu of Robin not having been "found" yet.
  16. Factoring Supports and Revelations Spoilers I only ever counted Jakob and Felicia as Corrin's retainers. You get both of them in all 3 Campaigns and they are loyal to Corrin first, Nohr/Hoshido second. ...This is especially obvious in Revelations when you have access to all 8 Royals + their retainers. That's 24 Characters total. You also get Mikoto's retainers on Birthright (Reina, Yukimora and Orochi) as well as fight Garon's on all three: Iago and Hans.
  17. What's the best team to use to beat Beach Brawl and Royal Royale DLC maps? Really hating not being to use my own royals for them >.>;
  18. Pretty sure it's Xander/Ryoma depending on the route. The RS explicitly says the hero needed to power up Yato isn't with you. In Revelations, it's revealed the Royal Princes' signature weapons unlocked the Yato's complete form, the Fire Emblem. It's only half the power on the Nohr/Hoshido Campaign. In Revelations, doesn't both Xander and Ryoma say they visited the RS at separate times? The RS names Xander in all 3 Campaigns which means the other must be Ryoma but for plot reasons, both are not named by the RS for the sake of spoilers. Given we now know there's a second round of DLC Content being released in Japan over the summer, it might be revealed at some point. Otherwise, dismiss it as a translation oversight.
  19. So many folks are ignoring WHY Corrin suddenly decides to take point on invading Hoshido: [spoiler=Plot Spoiler]Azura reveals to Corrin King Garon has actually been dead for some time and it's not really King Garon who is in power. Convinced beyond reasonable doubt his father is long dead and it's only a monster disguised as him, Corrin decides to go with the greater of two evils and that takes guts. He's willing to take the credit for conquering Hoshido since he knows deep down, his Hoshidan siblings trust his judgement even though they don't fully understand the why until after the fact. Corrin also needed to show Xander, Leo, Elise and Camilla the truth without breaking his promise to Azura (talking about The Invisible Kingdom). Folks also seem to forget Corrin was being watched by Iago the whole time so it wasn't like he could just ask Ryoma to clear out the capital and let them borrow the throne for 10 minutes. LOL. Corrin was more or less forced to make the choices he made with Nohr. ...AND he did it without killing. Folks must've chosen to IGNORE the fact Corrin explicitly orders his forces to not kill any Hoshidans SEVERAL TIMES. Much to the disdain of some folks who join his forces later. The exceptions were done by other characters. [spoiler=Plot Spoiler] This is also likely why Ryoma commits Seppuku. He knew Corrin wasn't gonna kill him even with everyone watching and knew he needed to die for Corrin's plan to work. He gladly sacrificed himself to ensure Corrin's plan could work. The Nohrian Royal I'd be most concerned about post-game is [spoiler=Paternity Spoiler] Elise: She was likely born after Garon's corruption so...yeah. It's likely she's not 100% human.
  20. Fire Emblem isn't Pokemon first and foremost ;) Also, "wonder" nothing. Fates is only the second game in the series with a dual storyline: Everyone seems to forget the first, Sacred Stones. Several games were released between the two. The reason Fates was released as 3 titles is because of how much story content is involved and Nintendo figured out how to convert the story into 3 full campaigns. Sacred Stones is a bit different as while yes there are two Lords and two campaigns, it was nowhere as big as Fates is (it was released on the Game Boy Advance). Hell yeah. I hope this also means we won't get shafted ala Binding Blade and Heroes of Light and Shadow. It also looks like Fire Emblem will join Pokemon as a handheld staple =O
  21. ...Crap, just realized I didn't note Paralogues. Both routes would have Paralogues in both the main Campaign(s) and the Post-game Content. LOL.Blazing Sword, there are some characters you will need multiple playthroughs to get and some Paralogues that you can only see when certain preconditions are met. Skills would also be back but they would be more in line with the later games where you can pick skills. Also like the newer games some skills are exclusive to certain characters ro classes. First, though: In order: 1. That wasn't supposed to make it into the finished draft. LOL. I'll edit that part out. 2. Yeah, like Awakening's system the cost in gold--as well as the difficulty of the battle--both depend on the Hero's level and class tier. So for example if you wanted to recruit Emperor Vigarde (Level 20 Great Knight), that'll set you back 20,000G. In battle, you'll fight the Hero plus 4 Phantom Units scaled to match the level of your highest-level unit. 3. Yeah, there'd be a hard cap for the non-custom characters. Probably 2 or 3 uses (with most stat boosts, the limit is 10 I believe). Custom characters (My Unit, something else I need to elaborate on in my OP) and guest characters have much more relaxed restrictions. 1. Another brain fart there on my part XD 2. Eh...now that you mention it I'll elaborate on them a bit more. They're somewhere between the Awakening children and the "Mercenaries" in Fates: They're part of the story but not full "Our simply being here may have jacked up your world's time-space continum" level like Awakening (That was Lucina's explaination for wearing a mask and calling herself Marth early on). 3. I was tempted to add children but then I remembered it didn't exist in the original game and would feel way too forced in the Remake(s). Also the reasons you listed. LOL. There would be S-Rank Supports. Once attained, both chars get married but decide to hold off on having kids until after the war's over. I'll elaborate on Supports and bonuses in my edit. 4. The endings would play out after the Creature Campaign, yes but the credits would play after the Demon King is slain (Opportunity to save given). So it would be final boss, credits, save opportunity and then Postgame Creature Campaign in that order. The Cameos would be handled by Spotpass and Paid DLC. Spotpass Maps provide the means to recruit Leaders of the Nations of Magvel. Hayden and Mansel--the only leaders who doesn't get killed off, actually--are recruited in a Spotpass Map together. Hayden is a Ranger while Mansel is the unique Pontifex Class: His class-exclusive Consecration inflicts 15HP Damage to foes and Heals 15HP to allies within 4 Squares of him. The Crypt's function is for rezzing party members who die with permadeath turned on. Naturally, the costs scales with level and etc. In an interesting change, when characters die all the weapons and items they were holding go into your convoy so they're not lost forever. The Crypt has an additional use: You can challenge Magvel's Ancient Heroes. Beating them allows you to get another copy of their weapons. They're crazy-powerful as well. The rez aspects of the Crypt can't be used in Hard and above or Casual Mode. You can pay to unlock Eirika/Ephraim's Route if you only have one to get those characters. The FE8 Remakes would be ridiculously big--in both size and length. I just gave an overview though I will tweak as I come up with more things. The 3-tier thing was more head cannon than anything else though I agree it would make the most sense to use it in a game with massive maps and/or a ridiculously long campaign. The FE8 Remakes would have both plus the Fates mechanic of being able to buy the other campaign digitally at a discount. The Grado Prequel in in addition to the Creature Campaign content that would make up the post-game. That would make the game almost as long as Radiant Dawn. It would easily be twice as long as Awakening. ...Gonna edit my OP now XD
  22. Of course, we all know Eirika and Ephraim's Routes overlap after they split but with some tweaking, they could certainly split their campaigns into two separate, different and complete campaigns. Plus the possible third campaign Ala Fate's Revelations. Much of this hand canon on my part so feel free to overlook certain things: Overall Changes The games will go with the sub titles Sovreign for Eirika's Campaign and Justice for Ephraim's. Sovereign focuses entirely on Eirika's journey through Magvel. On Chapter 5x of Eirika's Route you will play as Ephraim's army but on Chapter 8, his team will be Ally NPCs. Same when the twins reunite in Chapter 16: Ephraim's forces will be Ally NPCs. Justice focuses entirely on Ephraim's campaign against Grado. Ephraim's version of Chapter 5x will involve you controllng Eirika's Forces in what would normally be Chapter 5 of the original game. In Chapter 8, Eirika's forces will be Ally NPCs. Same when the twins reunite in Chapter 16: Eirika's forces will be Ally NPCs. Since Eirika and Ephraim are fighting separate campaigns, the few times they do work together they will fight on massive maps. After Eirika or Ephraim's campaigns are completed, a third route will be made available to you: Tradition. The third route is the prequel to Sacred Stones, beginning with the Hero Grado and his allies defeating Fomortiis. It then fast-forwards to just before the events of the game and the story is done from Grado's point of view. You will play as characters from Grado including Glen, Duessel and Lyon (before and after his corruption) leading up to the start of the game. Hints on this third campaign are made in both Eirika and Ephraim's routes. Radiant Dawn's Promotion Tree returns: All Classes have 2 promotion tiers: Eirika and Ephraim promote to Great Lord in Chapter 16 (if they're level 10+ by then) and can then promote to Blade Lord (Eirika) or Knight Lord (Ephraim) after Chapter 18. Certain characters are locked into Eirika or Epraim's Route. To compensate, new characters are introduced in both Campaigns. Eirika and Ephraim will be accompanied by a playable Tactician (Player Character). Like Eirika and Ephraim, they are twins: One goes with each Lord. Class change makes its return with the usual limitations. Specific Class Change Tokens like Knight Crest returns to promote to 2nd tier classes. After Chapter 8, players will have access to a Fort ala Fates. Once a day, characters will be able to create an NPC to be permanently added to their army. Up to 15 custom characters excluding the Tactician can be in your army at once with an additional 20 that are stationed at the fort. Your custom characters can be used in the third campaign as well and are dubbed as "Mercenaries". Previously unlockable characters requiring the Tower of Valni or Lagdou Ruins are unlocked via their own Spotpass Maps. Must clear Chapter 16 to access the Maps but which maps decided based on the Campaign: The others are paid DLC. Permadeath can be reversed by going to a new area, Heroes' Crypt starting on Chapter 8. You will be given the option of clearing the foes or paying in Gold to revive dead characters. This only applies to the canon cast. Slain Custom Characters can be recruited again from the fort. You will have up to 70 playable characters including Custom Characters. in your army in either game. Streetpass ala Awakening is also present. Anna will join as a playable character once you've found the secret shop in Grado or Jehanna Hall. You will have one more chance much later in the game to recruit her though. Eirika's Route Story is told entirely from Eirika's point of view though references to Ephraim's and the Third Route are made. Tana, Innes, Vanessa, Gerik, Tethys, Marisa, L'Arachel, Dozla, Saleh, Ewan and Cormag join Eirika on her travels prior to Chapter 15. Ephraim gains a number of new characters to compensate. Eirika gains other companions in exchange for the ones not listed that would normally be recruited on her route. Eirika's version of Chapter 16 will be different from Ephraim's: While Ephraim focuses on taking the castle, Eirika's army is tasked with holding off enemy reinforcements in town to give Ephraim the time he'll need to take down Orson. Chapter 15 is split in half and begins slightly different: Ephraim's army arrives just as the battle begins and cuts off Valter, making it an even fight. After the battle, Ephraim gives Eirika the items he and his forces looted from their battle along with Grado's Sacred Weapons. Chapter 17 happens normally though Ephraim, Duessel and some of their men are not there. After the battle it's revealed Ephraim was ambushed in the courtyard by remnants of the Grado army. In Chapter 19, Ephraim covers the rear while Eirika forges ahead with her more agile forces. Eirika faces mostly flying monsters. Ephraim intervenes at the last minute, stopping Lyon from breaking Renais' Sacred Stone. The stone gets shattered anyway during the exchange and Eirika Class promotes to Blade Lord. After Chapter 20, The Demon King's minions mobilize to defend their dark master. Eirika and Ephraim are both going inside this time. You will pick 15 for both Eirika and Ephraim for the final assault. The rest will stay behind to keep their escape secure. There is a post-game campaign where you must travel the maps of Eirika's Route again slaying monsters, ending at Jehanna Hall. At each map you will fight a zombie version of the bosses you fought before. After helping Joshua down Carlisle (again), you will get word Ephraim's forces have finished dealing with the monsters in Grado and are heading your way. Two massive monster armies suddenly arrive. One is being led by the zombie version of Renais' legendary King Fado. The other, by Lyon. It turns out Fomortiis used some powerful magic to set the Creature Campaign in motion when he possessed Lyon. The plan was for Lyon to steal the new Dark Stone but Lyon changed his mind, instead chosing to set the horde against the woman he broke his heard: Eirika. Ephraim fights their father while Eirika fights Lyon. After Lyon is defeated, the souls of all the heroes who died are finally put to rest. As a bonus, you can visit the Heroes' Crypt to summon the dead Generals and Leaders free of charge. You will also now have full access to Ephraim's army. Cameos from other FE Titles: Say'ri (Swordmaster), Priam (Hero) and Miriel (Sage) from Awakening as well as Roy (Hero) from Binding Blade and Hector (Warrior) from Blazing Sword are bonus characters who you will meet one by one. Ten of them came to Magvel but they were separated into two groups shortly after they arrived by the Grado Army. Once you've met all five, they will meet you during the battle in Renais in Chapter 16. After the battle, you will learn the missing half of their group met up with Ephraim and all 10 will join you. Ephraim's Route Story is told entirely from Ephraim's point of view though references to Eirika's and the Third Route are made. Amelia, Duessel, Knoll and Rennac join Ephraim on his travels prior to Chapter 15. Eirika gains a number of new characters to compensate. Ephraim gains other companions in exchange for the ones not listed that would normally be recruited on his route. Ephraim's version of Chapter 16 is the same as the original game's: While Ephraim focuses on taking the castle, Eirika's army is tasked with holding off enemy reinforcements in town to give Ephraim the time he'll need to take down Orson. Chapter 15 is split in half and begins slightly different: Ephraim's army arrives just as the battle begins and cuts off Valter, making it an even fight. After the battle, Eirika gives Ephraim the items she and her forces looted from their battle along with Jehanna's Sacred Weapons. Chapter 17 is a little different for Ephraim. While training in the courtyard with some of his men, Ephraim is ambushed by remnants of the Grado Army. In Chapter 19, Ephraim covers the rear while Eirika forges ahead with her more agile forces. Ephraim faces mostly Gorgons. Eirika intervenes at the last minute, stopping Lyon from breaking Renais' Sacred Stone. The stone gets shattered anyway during the exchange and Ephraim Class promotes to Knight Lord. After Chapter 20, The Demon King's minions mobilize to defend their dark master. Eirika and Ephraim are both going inside this time. You will pick 15 for both Eirika and Ephraim for the final assault. The rest will stay behind to keep their escape secure. There is a post-game campaign where you must travel the maps of Ephraim's Route again slaying monsters, ending at Jehanna Hall. At each map you will fight a zombie version of the bosses you fought before. After helping Duessel take down Emperor Vigarde (again), you will get word Eirika's forces have finished dealing with the monsters in Jehanna and head north to meet up with them. Two massive monster armies suddenly arrive. One is being led by the zombie version of Renais' legendary King Fado. The other, by Lyon. It turns out Fomortiis used some powerful magic to set the Creature Campaign in motion when he possessed Lyon. The plan was for Lyon to steal the new Dark Stone but Lyon changed his mind, instead chosing to set the horde against the man he considered his greated rival: Ephraim. Eirika fights their father while Ephraim fights Lyon. After Lyon is defeated, the souls of all the heroes who died are finally put to rest. As a bonus, you can visit the Heroes' Crypt to summon the dead Generals and Leaders free of charge. You will also now have full access to Eirika's armies. Cameos from other FE Titles: Michaiah (Sage), Stefan (Swordmaster) and the Black Knight (Great Knight) from Radiant Dawn as well as Lillina (Sage) from Binding Blade and Eliwood (Hero) from Blazing Sword are bonus characters who you will meet one by one. Ten of them came to Magvel but they were separated into two groups shortly after they arrived by the Grado Army. Once you've met all five, they will meet you during the battle in Renais in Chapter 16. After the battle, you will learn the missing half of their group met up with Eirika and all 10 will join you. Third Route The prequel story to the events of Sacred Stones. As such, there is no overworld map like Eirika and Ephraim's campaigns. The opening Chapter has you controlling the ancient hero Grado and his army during thay dramatic battle to seal the Demon King. All subsequent maps take place during the 3 years prior to Sacred Stones' opening moments (referenced as flashbacks in Eirika and Ephraim's campaigns). It's the untold War of the Stones from Grado's point of view. You will mostly control Lyon, who due to his demonic possession now has access to powerful necromantic abilities. The final battle of the campaign has you up against the Great Dragon Morva. In the cutscene that follows, Lyon is struck down by Eirika and Ephraim in the temple. With his last breath, he vows to face the twins in battle one more time but under his own power (Hence the creature campaign). You will learn the twin tacticians who joined Eirika and Ephraim were born from experiments carried out in secret in Grado centuries earlier: They are half human, half Manakete. Hence the irony behind their nickname, The Twin Dragons. They lack the ability to transform like their full-blooded kin but can live for centuries. The Twin Tacticians reveal their lineage to Eirika/Ephraim and Myrrh once you get their Support to A. After clearing the Third Route, New Game+ is unlocked for Eirika and Ephraim's Routes. The following perks are made available for you to carry over to the new playthrough: Data Transfer: Allows you to wirelessly transfer data from Eirika/Ephraim's Route to someone with a copy of the other. Start with 50,000 Gold: Self-explanatory. Eirika/Ephraim's Forces: You will start your next game with all of the characters recruited only on Ephraim/Eirika's Route. They will become available to you after Chapters 8 and 15. Awakening to Fate: Allows you to import your Robin from Awakening and your Korrin from Fates if there is clear data for them on your console. Super Trainee: Normally you had to clear both Eirika and Ephraim's Routes first. In NG+ you get them off the bat. VIP Access: Anna is available from the beginning of the game. She comes with the Member Card in her inventory, which is needed to access the Secret Shop. In addition, you will now be able to access the Secret Shops during your first playthrough from the map screen. Class Change Items: Items needed to Promote are added to all shops. Training Gear: Items needed to increase stats including Swiftsole are added to the Secret Shops. Silver Card: Silver Card effect (everything is half off) is applied to all purchases on NG+. All Inventory Items and Money: Self-Explanatory. Ambassador: Recruitable Enemy NPCs are now Green Ally NPCs. You will still need to talk to them to recruit them. Forbidden Magic: Naglfar (Lyon's signature book) is added to your inventory. ....Again, major headcannon on my part XD They could probably fit both Campaigns like the original but this feels more likely to happen. Critique welcomed--mo DEMANDED.
  23. Preordered a physical copy of both since I have two 3DS consoles (Two separate NIN IDs as well). I am well aware of the discount for those who buy one physical and the second digital. I may end up buying a digital copy of both games for the physical versions and It's an extra $20 I'm fine with if it comes with that. What I want to know is will I still be able to separately buy the Third Campaign or will I have to do the other two first?
  24. Nope, same as Awakening: Once bought and downloaded, they're there permanently and can be replayed over and over again as much as you want, You also only need to buy 'em once to use them all all current and future save files.
