It went something like this: Soren (A support with Ike) Edward (A support with Nolan) Nolan Leonardo (A support with Aran) Aran Kyza (No support) Mist (A support with Boyd who got left behind ;_;) Elincia (No support) Ilyana (No support) Tibarn (I couldn't help it, I fucking love Tibarn. Also, no support) Reyson (No support. I forgot about it with half these units) Up until now, Edward was the only DB member I'd ever brought to endgame (apart from Micaiah + Sothe) but I was pretty impressed with the other 3 I took (Nolan and Leo both capped everything, Aran capped spd, str and skl) Kyza was fucking awesome with a Laguz Gem. No further comment. Ilyana was decent, raped the dragon chapter. I still prefer Soren. Mist has been taken before, but this time she capped everything, so I let her go crazy alongside Ilyana with dragonfoe. The others I'd taken before, so, yeah. Only used Nasir in 4-E-5. My next playthrough is gonna be: Calill/Micaiah Edward/Jill Nolan/Zihark Haar/Nephenee Marcia Kieran Tormod If some of my supports seem weird, it's cause I'm trying to get A support for every possible affinity combo just for fun. Ether Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 To respond to why someone might picks Volke over Haar,it's probably because Haar ain't so great when it comes to endgame.Spirits,and the two final bosses use magic,so he isn't really durable anymore,and he has doubling issues,while Vllke can double aura's without the help of Nasir,so he's a candidate for Parity,also,If he comes to endgame,he's basically guaranteed the Baselard since,if you are bringing Volke,Sothe most likely either supports with Peshkatz or isn't fielded at all,while Haar has a lot of competition for Urvan.Sure,he can use the Brave Axe,if it still exists,but the DB need to use it in part three and four due to their underleveledness in Hard mode.Just my two cents though.XD Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyone who has low speed and high strength is good with brave weapons in endgame. Unfortunately, there isn't a magic tome that allows magic users to double so I usually use them for healing and long-range magic against dragons. Ether Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Of course,there is also a chance that that particular weapon is gone as well,since it is most likely going to the GM's,and since 2-3 is loleasy,that brave lance is probably being used by Nephenee in 2-E so that she can kill things better.Then it is being used on occasion in part 3 by any of your multitude of Lance wielding GM's.Would Gatrie like to double before promotion?I think so,Haar himself also can have doubling issues in part 3,and is taking chunks out of that Brave Lance,then in part 4 our buddy Aran has access to it if it's still around.So through all this abuse,there is most likely no brave weapon for Haar in endgame...besides,even with a Brave weapon,Haar has less Mt than Volke with Baselard,then we have Volke's OMGWTFH4X critical,further increasing his endgame offense,while Haar is being raped by spirits and fails to one-round anything.
