Outside of GBA, I'll use FE9 Tanith but you're willing to use Barst and Nolan. It's even. I will admit, though, I used Bartre in FE7 once. As for him, he has a pretty good speed growth for a fighter, but the base, on the other hand, is what worries me. Also, I did admit that axes were decent in FE7 and FE8, but they really were good when FE9 came along, since forging was introduced then.
