If we have Alf vs. Chase for example, and Alf throws his Hawk from within 5 feet or something, then Chase is getting hit, whether lightning likes it or not. Not having to roll them just makes things easier, and more lax. I disagree, personally. I find plot combat to be a hell of a nightmare to write effectively, and an effective dice combat system is much preferred for most instances. I don't like plot pvp combat because if you're fighting Damian or Aiya, you have an unwritten obligation to lose, if you're fighting Helios, you have lazy writing and other crap to deal with, if your fighting Chase, you better have some glue on the floor so he can't dodge everything, and if you're fighting any of Psych's people, you better read the fine print in their sign up sheets first.
