Showing the reality of Gae-Borg's possessions, and Damian was getting very annoyed at Morgan in general, so snapping wasn't all that unlikely. It just took a well placed hit to take him out. He views Morgan as a frigid bitch who cares nothing for human life or anyone's suffering at this point. and he sort of knows what sort of stuff Esphyr has been put through, so hearing her talk like that really pissed him off. Alf just wasn't pushing the right buttons at the right time. Also, I don't think Damian was around when Alf voiced his opinions on soldiers/Damian. He saw the lightshow, but doesn't know what it was about. If you are referring to a different time ATM, I apologize but I can't think of another. Being hit is no big deal. He's used to being attacked, lashed out at. Being the guy who has to tell a mother with a child that her husband is never coming back doesn't lend well to remaning unharmed.
