Sophius
For me, I would have to say the second movement of beethovens 7th and bachs tocatta and Fuege would be fitting pieces for the worlds end. Beethovens 7th for an ending of despair and tocatta and fuege for an ending of sudden terror and violence. The 2nd sub movement of the 4th movement of beethovens 9th would also be fitting for an end of majesty. Tino
This for sure. But in all seriousness, I'd rather not even think about the end of the world yet, to be frank.
Inactive Account
Depends on the method of ending, but O Fortuna's pretty classic.
Esau of Isaac
George Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. I've always been a fan of contradictory use of tunes.

Defeatist Elitist
"End of All Hope" because that would be fucking hilarious. Or like, some Bright Eyes. Oh my god, the end of the world would be amazingly bizarre with playing in the background.

ReformBlade
The Future Sound of London: Dead Cities CD. Just, the whole CD would be pretty fitting. Especially the final track.
Phoenix Wright
Core's pick was pretty good. Along with Esau's as well. My pick also goes "Toccata and Fugue" "Canon" by Johan Pachelbel is pretty good too. Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave" with no lyrics would be my personal favorite after "Toccata and Fugue." Esau of Isaac
I don't know why I hadn't thought of posting it, but Kom Susser Tod is perfectly suitable for an end of the world scenario. Which is why it was used as such.
Griulf
*Sigh* Okay, I´ll give you what you want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYlPTYBhtOI Also, if i would get to choose a song to sing, Götterdämmerung Undergång would be perfect. Why? Because it would be perfect for torturing the scared. Edited June 11, 2010 by Griulf

Nightmare
Why, what do they say? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dies_Irae#The_poem The song I linked to doesn't have the full poem, but still, I think this is pretty fitting. Sorry for the really late answer btw. Edited June 19, 2010 by Nightmare
