Interceptor
Nolan is salvageable. with Tarvos, he's not getting 2HKO'ed by cats, and with Beastfoe he's OHKO'ing on counter, so not getting doubled either. He just needs to be Seal'ed to tier 2 ASAP.
Fenrir
I feel I should point out that Nolan is completely unusable by this point. 33HP/13AS/12DEF gets doubled and 2HKOed by Cats. Yes, i hate to be to critical but this is probably the result of training ilyana, and jill isn't to high, she'll need bexp before 3-6, and if you don't bexp jill, you'll get nothing out of a chapter that gives you so much exp. RNG Princess
I think the problem was giving too many kills to unnecessary characters like Leonardo, Meg, and to a certain point Edward and Ilyana. Although Ilyana really didn't hinder my progress, but giving kills to Eddie instead of Nolan did (since they were together for the support). Should I just seal him or make him reach lvl 20, or bexp and seal Nolan? What about Aran is he useable? Paragon is going to someone else, should I give it to Sothe, Zihark, Jill, Nolan, or someone else? nflchamp
Aran is going to have trouble. He'll need BEXP to get to +3HP, +1HP/+1DEF, or +2DEF and then get sealed to avoid 31 MT cats from ORKO while in support range. Goes up to +5HP, +3HP/+1DEF, +1HP/+2DEF, or +3DEF if you want him to survive 31MT cats outside of support range. He'll still be abysmal as he, even w/ Earth support, likely won't dodge and is getting 2RKO'd by just about every combination on the map. Oh, and unless he picks up SPD during his BEXPing, he'll have to watch out for 18 AS Tigers until he procs SPD one more time to avoid the double. Aran will also require Beastfoe to even think of having offense. If you were to simply seal him now, he'd be doing 7-9 damage w/ that 1-7 forge to Tigers. That's a terrible 6-8HKO. Another three MT will get him to 4-6HKO, which, in all honesty, still sucks since he doesn't double. Against Cats he'd be doing 11-13 damage w/ the forge; 4HKO. Three MT here gives 3HKOs against weaker Cats, but still might whiff the 3HKO on stronger Cats by a HP. Beastfoe lets him 2HKO everything but the strongest Tigers w/ a Steel Lance. An extra point of STR lets him 2HKO the strongest Tigers w/ Steel + Beastfoe. In other words, with some BEXP, Aran might barely be able to scratch out being a useable unit in part 3. Interceptor
Shopping spree ^_^ I bought too many items probably . The nice thing about stocking up on items in 3-2 is that you can't really over-do it. Since you bought the items for half price because of the Silver Card, selling them later for half-price just means that you break even. So, you can store gold in handy little buckets. Anouleth
Heh, I just went through 3-2. It's such a pain to decide what to buy, since I want to hold some money in reserve for the Secret Book (for Tanith :3). Although I had so much stuff from other parts, I could buy a Steel forge for Mia, full weaponry for everyone, plus tons of steel grt/pole/blades and 1-2 range weapons. I even had enough money for a max mt Wind forge for Soren, and I had about 5000 and a Talisman left over. I even have the 2-E Dracoshield and Energy Drop spare. Ilyana is awesome just for carrying all this shit over.

Since you bought the items for half price because of the Silver Card, selling them later for half-price just means that you break even. So, you can store gold in handy little buckets. The problem is that if you buy too many, say, Iron Swords when you should have bought Steel Blades, you end up losing money in the long run because you'll resell those Iron Swords for no net loss but you won't buy Steel Blades at half price anymore. You'll break even reselling and then buying anything that was not available in 3-2.

Actually, Neph is the only GM that gets slowed down by any weapons she can wield, I think. And thus Neph gets a forged steel lance in my playthroughs rather than a greatlance. Well, I give her non-forge weapons for when she fights enemies that don't require a forge, but I don't remember what. As for Titania, um, she has over 20 str at base and no weapon ever weighs more than 20. IMO Ilyana deserves more credit for transfering things over ;) Perhaps, but that opens the door to crediting units for starting inventories and other things like that. It's a bad place to go. Or we think it is, anyway. And thus Ilyana gets no credit (though she does get virtually free deployment in 1-E due to the whole "I'm the only way you are getting a speedwing to the GMs" thing). Well maybe you're right but what she's doing is much more convenient than taking off saviour from Fiona and it also affects gameplay results drastically, similar to using a non-transfered and a transfered-unit. I'm pretty sure Oscar got slowed down as well. Anyways about Titania she's raping things with Iron Poleax I really don't think it makes a difference, she capped str and skill I'm waiting for her to cap speed to promote her. dondon151
Oscar starts with 20 str and Steel Greatlance has 18 WT. Nephenee will have grown out of it at roughly level 10, but you should probably just forge +5 MT Steel Lances for her anyway. Probably only one will be necessary until she can wield Steel Greatlance without AS loss. It costs 2880 G with Silver Card for 40 uses compared to Steel Greatlance being 560 G for 35 uses, but she and Mia are the only ones that really require a MT forge (Mia would like +MT on her crit forge; a Steel Sword is a whole 4 MT less than a Steel Blade, so...).
