Internet Speed Test

LOL I got stuck on "preparing upload" with a ping of 17 ms and a d/l speed of .76 mbps.

I think it has something to do with using bittorrent though, not to mention downloading some other stuff off the web at the same time and converting some files from ogg to mp3 might have hurt too.

Then I tried after turning bittorrent off. Now everyone knows what shitty college I go to :( Of course I could hide it easily...

Hold on you guys, with my wireless, it's a bit slow, and my ethernet cable seems to have died on me... I'll find my speed test results when I get home from school.

The only thing I lost that isn't replacable is....MY IMAGES!! NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

MY MIA PICS!!! MY DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS!!!! MY PHOTOSHOPS!!!! and most importantly, but most easily replaced: MY ARMY OF BIDOOF!!!!

i guess I should also worry about having lost my entire music library, but I can easily regain that.

The wireless in my University. Bear in mind this is not the main campus, but a smaller one which is about a kilometre from the main.

But I don't understand why I'm on the "Morecambe" server, especially only "~50 miles" from it. Fucked up.

Not too bad. My mom's really old Mac uses this wireless dongle, and it is very slow (ie. 15 kb/s DL speed) Stupid thing... And we're paying for a speed boost package, I think. So I just tested it using a laptop, and we actually have a fast internet connection! Amazing. And we're actually getting a Windows desktop next week, so then we'll have a 2001 Mac running Mac OSX (10.4, 512 MB RAM, 767 MHz processor), a Windows desktop running Windows XP (1 GB RAM, 2.67 GHz Processor), and a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 7 64 bit (4 GB RAM, 2.20 GHz processor) Thank goodness for up-to-date computers... That's always nice, especially after being stuck with something that struggles to download PDFs... Oh, and don't ask how it is that the Windows XP desktop has a more powerful processor than the laptop, b/c I have no clue.
