It's funny because at first you're thinking about something completely different, and then it makes you stop and say "Wait, wait, why would his arms hurt if he's in a plane? Did he have a debilitating and violent seizure?" But then you make the connection that birds, when flying, have to move their arms, and if they were flying for long distances their wings would probably be somewhat sore.
