I still have Golden Sun: The Dark Age for the GBA... Although I could never figure out how to play it. What can I say? I'm really stupid inexperienced when it comes to RPGs. Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Ruby are the only RPGs that I've ever played all the way through.

Bosses like to take advantage of that situation by having enough HP to tank all the summons you can put out, then flay you alive because your stats are suddenly nothing. :V

In the first two games most of the damage from summons came as a % of enemy hp. The more hp the enemy had, the more damage summons did. Just need to make sure your summon rush does enough to KO them before they kill you. Lull and +agi items help with this.

I would say "No" anyway, because there are occasions in other games where I skipped the tutorial only to find out that they added something new to the gameplay that wasn't in the previous game or even worse, they changed/removed something. Besides, with a game like GSDS, I'd want to see every bit of the game there is, including the tutorial.

Try putting your DS into sleep mode during the tutorial. I've played games before where the mentor character gets mad at you for falling asleep.

Absolutely nothing about the djinn system has changed, so you would not be missing anything. It's just another case of Camelot's awful design.

Also, my DS shuts off when I close it, so I couldn't try doing it during the tutorial =\

I hated the one after Amiti joins more. We're far enough into the game that we can find these things out on our own dammit.
