Just a general contempt from players of 'harder', 'better', or 'higher tier' things for people who play lower stuff. I see this happen on LoL as well where I've had people ignore me for talking about how I did on the Scar or for using Poppy instead of a higher-tiered character. Yes you increase your turn count but you can attack most of them with ike and unequip gatrie because they will chase you if in enemy zones. Then charging and saving marcia is a joke. When I made this topic I decided I would handle this on easy mode. This is my game and the choices made in it are my own. The only person who can change the mode I am playing on is me, not you. You have presented your case (or lack there-of) and I have considered it and decided not to restart my run on a higher difficulty as I am enjoying myself right now. That is the end of the discussion. If you wish you have three options. 1) Come back with a stronger case about why I should play on a higher difficulty that isn't as degrading as the one you have put forth. 2) Cease this currently pointless arguing and either enjoy this run or ignore the topic all together. 3) Persist and have me put you on ignore until this run and topic is over. Choose wisely. Sorry I haven't been playing lately. Birthday week and all, so I've been away from home and playing new games. Super Dungeon Explore and Mass Effect 3! I would say that because PoR (easy) is the easiest Fire Emblem game out of the series, the lack of challenge would be uninteresting to people reading about your playthrough. Why read about a playthrough of the easiest Fire Emblem game without a heavy handicap? Snowy may be playing on super-weenie-easy mode, but he's allowed to do that, it's his run. Also, I disagree to a point with your idea that good pmu's/playthroughs are defined by how well it's described, but I believe it's how the player describes how hegets through the game with the handicap set by the characters chosen for him. You're not gonna get that by playing the easiest Fe. I mean, just look at the pmu/draft edition in Fe7. Probably one of the most entertaining pmu's ever (on hhm), and he's not having to write essays for his playthrough. PoR easy mode is literally the easiest game in all of the Fire Emblem series. There is no challenge. It's not like Radiant Dawn easy, where there are a few potentially difficult parts because of the difficulty of training certain characters (Fiona, Nealuchi, Lucia, etcetc) and odd situations (3-6/13). All the notions of difficulty you'll try to bring up during this playthrough is going to met begrudgingly. Talking about the difficulty of trying to save Marcia isn't going to garner similar expressions by other people who played that chapter, it's going to be met with "saving marcia is easy if you don't play like a chump" and facepalms. I'm going to stop here, since it is your playthrough, but just keep this in mind if you do future pmu's. Are you magically able to change his game to hardo modo from easy modo (when clearly, fe8 EZ is easiest of the easy)? I really don't see the problem here. He didn't post in the wrong thread. He isn't flaming or spamming. He isn't pressing opinions in other threads on his personal preferences. This is a Snowy_One thread, where he can post all the on-topic crap he wants (within the rules). If there really is a problem with someone having a challenge with something you consider simple, you deal with it. You don't insult people for attempting. My (albiet incomplete) LP of POR is on Easy, and no one was hot and bothered like you are now. It happens to be my first attempt at it, so I figured I'd try. It's a slight challenge to me because I don't know spawn points, true hit formulas, and I'm just unfamiliar with it. Wanna come at me for LP'ing Easy mode? I don't care. Hell, I encourage it.
