Why can't we reposition the lords?

Why?

I understand some of the restrictions placed on Lord characters, like having to come every chapter and not being allowed to die, but why can't we reposition them? Is there some unfair advantage to be gained by moving them that IS is trying to avoid or what?

I'm inclined to believe the inability to reposition the lord is partly because he is supposed to lead the army, and certain positions would not work well for the leader. It's basically representing the idea that the commander should be in a place where he can lead (as in not the front lines, or off to the side).

I say this as well. It would be a bit odd to have a map where people kinda are in far away groups at the start, and to have the leader being in the smallest one with the big part of the army in another.

that is the only correct answer

Reposition forced units fix incoming? just kidding, spend your time on things that are actually cool. Or, you know, life. Whatever floats your boat really.
