Aleph
Balcerzak moved it back here. I had it moved to Forum Games for the past few phases because it's a game. It's not really a "forum game", though, and it was losing activity so I had it moved back. Edited February 21, 2014 by Izayoi

Aleph
I thought about it a bit more and I think it makes more sense to continue with this part of the ~adventure~ first, then visit the easter eggs that one guy found once we're out of the current room. Later I'll try to be more vigilant about making those side paths available if and only if Soma or whoever is actually near them. So that means literally only noose boy voted and we're going BACK to the FUTURE next phase. Edited February 22, 2014 by Izayoi
Aleph
RE: "easter eggs" - You won't get the associated achievements/stat increases (which do matter btw, especially the new (currently hidden) stat associated specifically with secret finding) until Soma actually visits those areas, which he can't presently do because he just went through a mirror (which will be shown soon). He will automatically visit them when he returns. IN THE MEANTIME enjoy this teaser of what I am working on for Phase 25. Kriemhild
I remember Aria of Sorrow and Circle of the Moon. If there was any Dawn of Sorrow, I must have forgotten all about it.
Aleph
Well Demon Guest House is a place in Dawn of Sorrow, and we're back there again. The story is pretty much centred around the Demon Guest House from Dawn of Sorrow so the name is like...really obvious.
Aleph
~ Phase 25 ~ You decide not to continue your search for Alucard in what you believe is the past. To return to your own time, or at least to what is familiar to you, you search for and utilize your power on another mirror. Your destination is reached without fanfare or difficulty. The arrival is rather bland, even. Despite your present inability to choose your exact location of return, you have managed to emerge in a well traveled area of the castle. Perhaps there is some comfort to be found in the typical progression of ordinary and uninteresting events. At least you aren't being ambushed. Your particular location is easily identified as the mirror behind which you had found Dracula's Tunic. You proceed gracefully through the strangely empty stair well you've passed through many times before. Odd; this place is usually much more lively. Speaking of livelihood, it seems the blasted clown who had brought you misfortune before is traipsing about and relatively unharmed. Without any words, the clown gestures to convey his fear and intent to avoid conflict. It seems he has learned not to mess with you. Perhaps almost suspiciously, he lets you pass by. However, the next room is as empty as the stairwell had been. The Demon Guest House seems rather empty apart from that clown. This certainly isn't quelling your desire to suspect the clown of mischief. As you make your way through the hall connecting the turrets which compose the Demon Guest House, you almost miss the demons which would normally assail you here. After proceeding through a small hole in your bat form, you pause to imagine the sort of horrors...or perhaps fortunes...which have emptied these halls. Okay this is getting stupid. It's not much of a Dance Hall if there aren't any dancers. You weren't exactly the most welcome guest, sure, but your reflection has led you to realize that you most enjoyed your time in the Demon Guest House because of all of the demonic guests that filled it. Where could they be? Your slumping spirits are reflected in your slumping motion as you drop solemnly onto a chandelier below, more aware of the emptiness within you than the emptiness around you...or the fact that you nearly just killed yourself leaping down onto a fragile piece of furniture dangling over an even more distant fall. After mustering the will to continue, you drop down the rest of the way to undoubtedly verify more absences. Indeed, there's no one here, either. Your will to explore has nearly dwindled completely. Perhaps you'll check one more room."Oh, hi there. You scared the crap out of me." It appears Alucard left just before you did, presumably because you took too long looking for him after speaking to Hammer in "the past". Now you've caught up to him, albeit by accident. Alucard leaves as quickly as he appeared, and your curiosity drives you to follow without hesitation. You chase him into the next room, and... ...he transforms before you in a dazzling spectacle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~← Investigate the Demon Guest House ~ Assist Alucard → [Mirror use is prohibited at this time]↓ Edited February 27, 2014 by Izayoi

Aleph
~ Phase 26 ~ It seems Alucard is making a mess of things. You quickly follow him through the door. You work up to a sprint when you realize he's about to really leave you behind. Fortunately he is slowed down a bit by floral opposition, which gives you a chance to catch up to him. Also to see how much better he is than you. You admire how a nearby skeleton cowers in fear of Alucard's power while Alucard thrashes another skeleton nearby. Alucard makes you feel insignificant by leaping over the weeds you've stopped to "fight", if "fight" were an appropriate description of your bullying. In the next room, you Triangle JumpTM furiously to keep up with Alucard's signature Backdash Spamalso TM, and both of you become better at your respective methods of attaining high speed. Alu's definitely much faster than you, though. He completely circumvents the first of two Treants in the next room. It seems he went ahead to lure the second Treant into a trap between the two of you. You feel a bit stupid for not thinking of it yourself before you realize you're too far behind for any of your ideas to matter. Alucard stops to kill an aerial demon, seemingly because he's realized you're a slow poke and need him to stop and help you, but just as he does you decide to take a hint from him and focus on running past the enemies instead of into them. You have minor success speeding past everything, though Alucard manages to get ahead of you anyway. This is exacerbated by the fact that he is able to gracefully manoeuvre around an enemy that blocks your path, which you are forced to fight. He stops to help you with it. Then he shows you up again at the next encounter... ...and leaves you behind again at another giant path-filling monster. After more hurried dashes through the few places Alucard left vacant for you in his time ahead, you catch up to him at a door and attempt to impress him by bombing the crap out of the rest of the enemies which had grouped behind you. He is rather indifferent to your spectacle and quickly formulates a plan to deal with the Mini Devils before the two of you which now bind you where you stand with an urge to urinate nervously. You barely slide to safety under one of the demons as you follow Alucard into a safer room. He lets you catch your breath - all that chasing you've done wore you out. It did, at least, make you stronger and faster, however. Alucard explains the layout of the path ahead and the two of you quickly exit the room before you can be swarmed. As you progress, a sense of invincibility courses through you as a consequence of Alucard's atmosphere and the synergy of your alliance. Also Bloody Tears is playing in the background which is amazing A witch floats down to greet you in the next room. Alucard steps aside to avoid being caught in the explosion you envelope the witch in. Alucard leads you through the part of the chapel filled with demonic Ghost Dancers. It's a bit tricky, but you successfully avoid injury. You're ambushed just as you leave, but you have a surprise for your new friend. Alucard is a gentleman and opens the passage ahead for you, waiting patiently on the other side. He softens up an animated tombstone that leaps at you and you deliver the finishing strike. The Yoshi turned, and the pages grew happier. Er, Alu gets the door for you again and you venture deeper into the castle. After more Triangle Jumping and Backdash Spam, you've arrived in the "Condemned Tower", indicated by the giant letters mysteriously floating in front of you. You both pause to ponder how this is possible. A demon tries to prong you instead, after Alucard proves too quick for it, but you slide under it safely. Alucard leaves you further behind as you stop nervously to reflect on these sudden events and what they could be leading up to. Indeed, you are caught off guard by what you see in the next room. Julius and Alucard, in his Genya Arikado disguise, are waiting to speak with you. One could say your response is... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~← Astute ~ Inquisitive → Hysterical ~ Insane ↙ ↘Intrigued↓ Edited March 11, 2014 by Izayoi
