Oh, and did I mention crowded beaches and roaches? A co-worker who recently moved from Hawaii said that fluency in Japanese is valuable to employers, a lot like Spanish over here. I wish that I could switch situations with foreigners that speak Spanish to those with Japanese. I only know the barest essentials of Spanish so when problems arise in communication it takes forever to get things done. I COULD tell you guys of two awesome thing in my hometown ... but that would be pretty much the equivalent of telling people where I live. So I can't say. Basically the police department made a "secret" police drug force that was free to use hard drugs like meth and herion and also blackmail people in order to make arrests. The whole thing ended up with a bunch of missing people whose bodies were never found... so it's safe to say I did not enjoy dealing with the police where I was from. I actually recall having a game on my dad's computer that ran on DOS when I was very little. Many movies (including Catch Me If You Can) have been shot on the streets and we hold one of the biggest film festivals around the globe yearly (TIFF is really only eclipsed by the Cannes Film Festival). CN Tower used to be the father of all towers for the longest time too. Holon, Israel... I'll get back to you folks on this one. It's a suburb of Tel Aviv though? You need a wetsuit. ;=; I've worn a wetsuit while surfing in Maui during August :s and maybe I'm just weird, most of the Bay Area's weather for a good deal of the year--mid-50s, windy, overcast--is my cup of tea. With snow on the ground. Some of the ski resorts are open through June. We're famous for most of the Mormon stuff out there, although Mormonism originally came from New York.
