Well, initially, I was doing well, jumping from 1550 to 1650. Then I went on another losing streak. :-/ But overall, I think I fared pretty well, all considered. Bold, Friend Guard + Eviolite Clefairy spammed Minimize while Togekiss spammed Follow Me, sacrificing itself in the process. Then I sent out either Rotom-W or Banette (depending on what Pokémon were out, of course). The then very evasive Clefairy used Follow Me, allowing the other Pokémon to use Psych Up on Clefairy, giving me two evasive Pokémon. If Clefairy survived that long, I'd make it use +2 Calm Mind for an extra oomph, after which I used Stored Power, making a mere Clefairy (which one would assume to be pretty weak) into a Pokémon not to be taken lightly. I'd rotate with the Pokémon I had, giving myself a constant evasion advantage. But that's only if I lasted that long. Every time I lost was because both initial Pokémon were eliminated before I could set up. I was primarily walled by Steel and Poison-type Pokémon, given how both my initial Pokémon are Fairy. I may need to rethink and revise the team to make it work better. But yeah, it does well to counter teams that set up. Not so well against sweeping teams. So in the end, I was, like, "Screw this. I'm not going back in that power struggle that is called Rating Battles for a while. I'm spending way too much time on it." evasion is a bad tactic on average, but it increases variance, so it's a good tactic if you're matched against a better player. you could maybe have a 10-20% winrate against a better player but then increase that to 44-52% if you use minimize, for example (using really simple math where one miss = win). you should just make a sandstorm + sand veil team instead It seems okay. I tried that before, so I wanted to try something new. Watch out for thunder and hurricane 100% accuracy in rain, I hit a +2 vaporeon on the first try Snow Warning + Blizzard got me every time. SO. ANNOYING. I heard that Toxic no longer misses if the user is a Poison type. Be wary of that. Damn it. Good thing I have SAFEGUARD. :D I've found the ultimate combo. Beware my Carbink!! Oh, I can already hear the yells But, seriously, if what I've in mind can be realized, it will be so funny. Then Fruity we will have a match... your evasion team vs. my troll team That match shall be recorded in history books. My Lord, that would be a long match. I want to make the perfect team, but I don't know where to start. Everything I've done up to now (EV training 18 Pokémon since I got the game) has been experimental. I want to create a team that can effectively counter most teams. But, as I said before, I don't know where to begin...
