You can also make a lot of assumptions based on a person's avatar. I notice a lot of newcomers actually have Fire Emblem characters as their avatar, a lot of other people have either anime or other video game avatars (or both combined), which tells a lot of people on this forum like games and entertainment exported from Japan. Their's also some people with avatars from different things entirely, like an animal, a funny pic/gif, or a character from some other form of entertainment, which would predictabally be what make up the rest of the options available.
