A Meowth in Silver edition. Looked just like a regular Meowth, though.

Man, I so wished I could say it was a Ho-oh. But because it was the first shiny I encountered, I reset the game in order to recreate whatever I was doing to cause the darn thing to turn orange. And I still had my Master Ball too...

I'm not sure but the most memorable encounter I had with a shiny Poke was Lugia back in Silver but my Feraligatr or Ampharos knocked it out.

i thought my game was glitched or something since i didn't know about shinys so i killed it

the first one i caught was a geodude in gold

A blue (I think) Electrike in Sapphire.

A pink Drowzee in Soulsilver, on a file that got corrupted.

A purple Remoraid on X.

A red Clauncher on X.

My first shiny was a Caterpie back in the days of Pokemon Gold ( Besides of that stupid Gyarados..)

Either a Swinub or a Magikarp (bred from the Gyarados, of course), both in gold. I might still have the Magikarp, too, thanks to the magic of Stadium 2.
