Parrhesia
btw i also like this question because i can make 'least favourite' the next question and dodge having to be imaginative :D
Parrhesia
take note while I'm not going to disallow 'video game music', it should not be your only answer.
Nightmare
Video game music isn't even a genre, technically. I don't think I have a favourite. I enjoy all genres. Sometimes I'm in the mood for one genre, sometimes another. That's how it goes.
Parrhesia
Video game music isn't even a genre, technically. Yeah, but let's be real. Around 70% of the thread would just answer with that otherwise.
Nightmare
Yeah, I'm invalidating it to help your cause.

peener weener
Uh, I dunno. I listen to a lot of shit. Right now I'm very partial to solo singer-songwriters (of several genres). But I think most of my library is hip-hop so there's that answer if it's acceptable
Starman
I like a good chunk of music, but my most favorite genre's are going to have to be metal and jazz Such a contrast, I know

NinjaMonkey
Since "Video Game Music" isn't allowed, I don't have one.
Specta
I like plenty of music but listing my whole library feels like cheating so let's go with pop/dance-pop Edited November 20, 2014 by Specta
Ownagepuffs
Jazz, of course. And chill hop.
Raven
Since "Video Game Music" isn't allowed, I don't have one. VG music can be broken down into categories. Just because it's music made for a video game, it doesn't mean it's not electronic, dnb, darkstep, rock, classic, grunge, metal, dance, and everything in between. Knight
Metal, rock, classical, I like jazz even though I don't listen to it often, some country and video game music. EDIT: I like some techno, but dubstep can go take a hike. Edited November 20, 2014 by Knight
Phoenix Wright
it depends. for music that makes me feel things, that is, for greatest emotional impact, definitely fingerstyle guitar, with michael hedges and andy mckee as my favorites. for music that makes me bang my head, heavy metal, with black sabbath, iron maiden, and led zeppelin as favorites. then of course, there's hip-hop, blues, and folk, which are all near and dear to me heart. i can't pick just one, because there's also a ton of genres i listen to besides these. riariadne
Hard rock, but there's a ton of good music out there. Just if I had to pick one it'd be that but there's a lot more to it.
Thor Odinson
Metal and classical better if combined I do enjoy a lot of things for various other genres though I'm really not that picky Edited November 20, 2014 by Thor Odinson
