Now i'm trying to get to 4096 but that hasn't happened yet :c

counting my dog run of I believe five hundred and something i am doing better in every run by Precisely One

quiz; which of these two (2) people is the university mathematician and which is the mildly dyscalculic writer/actor who xcdxc guy probably wants to defenestrate

Whee, didn't screw up this time:

It should theoretically be possible to get 4096, and shouldn't be too difficult either. It's basically doing the same thing but with one tile less. Sealing the 2048 row would be even easier, actually, since you only have three tiles to worry about. It is gonna take quite a while though, and I have better stuff to do with my life.

COME ON THOR YOU THINK YOU SOME TOUGH SHIT HUH TRY TOPPING THIS SCORE BEEYOTCH

actually, a lower score is better, because it means that you used fewer extra tiles to reach 2048.

defenestrate is still my favorite word

one wonders, conceptually, what it means to fenestrate, or to refenestrate

I feel like the algorithm used by the popular solver for this game isn't as complicated as it needs to be. It also supposedly has a less than 100% win rate, but I have suspicions that the game is always solvable and that all the times I lost were just because I suck.

I refined my algorithm a bit and came up with this

then why does it list the highest score as my best and not my lowest huh

huh?! huh?!

yeah don't you feel STOOPID

Your higher score IS your best if you haven't ever won. Once you win your highest score is the lowest score that you've won with.

Really, the best score is whichever score is closest to the minimum possible score required (which is apparently around 20000) without going under. Kind of like Black Jack.

Speaking of did anyone win with lower than my score >_>

Also you can keep going after you win

so if say you get to 4096 obv you'd have done better than just getting to 2048 and you'd have a higher score

maybe it should keep track both lowest score at time of clear and high score

Also @hex I think this is my lowest

Never managed to get to 4096 because I always fuck up somewhere making my second 2048 tho :c

You have to make a snake/zig zag from the corner of highest to lowest number Makaze

I dunno how Lumi scored lower with a messier board but look how damn clean mine is

I meant more that you have 8 spare pieces scattered about compared to my 5 neatly packed oddly enough also ordered numerically

Also just got exactly 27000 before loloops on the way to 4096 so that was cool
