Tana can get dragonspeared though, which is troubling. Espinosa Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 to be fair he went for some questionable plays (the shamshir especially) but the deadeye was pretty bad update the fe9 game PKL If the Shamshir were a Killing Edge instead, Gerik would've received enough damage to a crit to be KO'd without entering Resolve range.. with Swordslayer, which I only now realise I replaced with a -reaver weapon for some odd reason. Oh welp. Also, Garm is still the better axe because of that +5 spd, and if Gerik switches to Swordslayer, Lancereaver 30 AS units can double him, though the damage may not be too hot or much better than, like, a Siegmund Ephraim impalement. Especially when we try out Awakening (and other?) skills. Also, I could've prevented all the Deadeye procs if I had started attacking Innes with Garm!Gerik (doubling) on turn 2 when he weighed himself down with Brave Bow, giving me an early advantage. Espinosa Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 A low res unit like Garcia or Cormag can receive 18 or so damage from it from a powerful sword user (i.e. GK / General), and it combos with Resolve but yeah, I agree that there could be better weapons to utilise when you're so limited in weapon slots.
