Between the Buried and Me posted their new video for "The Coma Machine" today. Pretty sweet, imo. Really liking the... cleaner (?) sound on the album so far.

I've also been listening to some Rosetta too. I love how majestic this song sounds (it fits well with the majestic name).

... Oh yeah... I forgot about this thread.

Anyway, after seeing them mentioned multiple times on SF, I decided to check out Death Grips. Not usually being into music like this (even though DG is pretty much it's own band), I find this to be fairly refreshing. Never have I heard more chaotic music than this.

As On GP is already posted here (probably my favorite one by them so far), I'll post my SECOND favorite.

Also, there's this amazing thing.

Zach Hills drumming on Lord of the game is perfect

Zach Hill's drumming in general is perfect. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm sure I'm not the only Red/Skillet/Thousand Foot Krutch fan here. I've actually already talked to one TFK fan here.

I actually like Red quite a bit (though I'm not a big listener, my sister loves them though), especially their new album, which is absolutely fantastic. Shadow and Soul is amazing. The other two are pretty cool too, but, I'd probably have to say Red would be my favorite out of the three.

Yeah I think their new album is the best. Darkest Part, Gravity Lies, and What You Keep Alive especially. TFK is just below Red for me, and Skillet below TFK.

Those three are really good too, particularly Gravity Lies. I also thought Descent/Impostor made a great start to the album. Maybe their best album opener?

And tbh, I haven't actually listened to much of TFK. So I couldn't make a guess as to where I'd put them really, but I like the stuff I've heard by them.

Yeah, the opening was really good. TFK is lighter in general, IMO, but they know how to lay on the heaviness or VERY occasionally a scream once in a while.

Hmm, I suppose I'll check them out at some point. I typically like heavier music, but, lately I've been listening to some softer music as of late.

Which, speaking of softer music, I've been really digging The War on Drugs' "Lost in the Dream" lately. Finally picked up the album on vinyl a couple of days ago, and I must say, the packaging is absolutely wonderful. If you DO listen to stuff on vinyl, and, well, like the album (I guess), I'd highly suggest picking up on vinyl. Anyway, while there's no bad songs whatsoever, Suffering, Disappearing (my favorite), and In Reverse are probably the highlights for me.

war on drugs is so good. tame impala, fleet foxes, beach house, animal collective are all excellent bands.

I've heard of pretty much all of these guys, and I've seen Tame Impala mentioned here before, so, I suppose I should try these guys out too....

Anyway, Between the Buried and Me released their new album yesterday, and while I haven't listened to it yet (I haven't had time), I've really enjoyed what I heard from the previews (Memory Palace, and the title track). So, I'll just post Memory Palace as I've already had The Coma Machine on here.

Ahhhh, still haven't gotten to those Tame Impala records yet, mostly because I've been listening to BtBAM's new record. It's fucking fantastic. It honestly might be their best work, but it's hard to say, as I love The Parallax and Colors. Highlights would be Node/The Coma Machine (they work nice together), King Redeem/Queen Serene(s Forest, lolololol, damn, that's a terrible joke), and Turn On The Darkness. But, as per usual, every track is good. So go listen to it.

After two listens, I gotta say I didn't enjoy the new BtBaM at all.

Yeah, I can understand why though (probably).

(I may be completely wrong about why you don't like it) I was a little worried about the change in sound, but after listening to the album, I find it to be a welcome change. I feel if they would have made another heavier (?) album, there probably would have been stagnation. (Yet again, I could be completely wrong on why you don't like it.)

who's interested in a less busy music listening club? like on your own time, maybe 2 albums a week, rotating submissions, put up your thoughts or whatever.

on actual music though: i'm gonna hold off listening to dre until we get the physical version i think. also i'm kinda disappointed with frank ocean not dropping on july. what's been up otherwise lately though?
