I think it might possibly make some people wait a bit too long to finally get chosen, themselves. If people get too carried away with that new rule~ And if anybody ever missed a day/person they can always give late input. Actually, it might be helpful to keep an updated list of people in the first post of who's already been chosen and appreciated and maybe even link their name to the post they get chosen, since people can't know who's already been selected. (But this is only a suggestion, you don't have to do it if you don't feel like going through that effort~) And I AGREE with Esme being nominated~!
