"respect your elders" is such a bad phrase it's just so older people have an excuse to act like they know everything and disrespect people younger than them

Often times though there is a lot you can learn from your elders though, I usually see people in their teens who have the same sort of mentality. ("I'm a teenager of the new generation and obviously I know much more than the members previous one.")

Question of the day: Do you think when this generation of kidz grow up and have the next generation of kidz, they will be dumber than their kidz? Do you think that when this generation grows up it will be hard for them to adapt to new technology just like this generation of parents and grandparents?

People today would have considerably high scores on 100-year-old IQ tests, that said, however, there is a big distinction between knowledge, wisdom and experience and IMO intelligence is a balance of the three.

IMO intelligence is even more than that. How observant someone is, or self-aware. Probably more things I'm not thinking of.

EDIT-BTW I am 40 years old and have something like 11 children (I lost count).

Yes, all the time, although there were equally as many times where I was wrong and I thought my parents were just using the youth bias but I was actually just plain wrong in retrospect. I don't think there has been a time where I was in the right in an argument with my grandpa, perhaps I'm a little biased in my defence of elders cause he was one of the smartest people I knew.
