BADGES \o/

61. what do you think of crafting systems in games (see: fantasy life and atelier series)

62. favorite not-commonly-domestic (or not domestic at all) animal

63. what's your favorite flower and why is it the one i usually put on my father's grave

64. why do you resent being meek

65. do you have a height complex

61. FL's was alright, gets repetitive and a bit boring eventually. I bet this is most crafting systems. Another one is Star Ocean TtEoT's but I forgot what that system was like.

62. I like fish I guess. And tiny birds. And squirrels.

63. Chrysanthemum? Hehe it tastes nice. As a drink I mean, usually chrysanthemum tea.

64. Resent? Well I'd rather not be meek or shy or scared. I want to step into the world fearlessly and protect those I want to protect. I want to be able to take care of myself and other people.

65. I have accepted my short fate, and besides, other people think you're cute. It's not too bad, as long as I don't have to reach tall things with my bare hands.

I added a rule to the thread while I was here, as it just occured to me that as it goes on unpopular members are sure to be voted in eventually, and I'd rather take preventative measures than deal with it when it happens.

Does this mean I get mod powers?

17. What factors led to you having the traits you listed earlier? What changes could have made you different from who you are today?

No, but you can consider yourself my eyes in this thread! Be valiant and ensure that nobody is bothering people with dumb questions, then tattle on them. Bravely tattle on them, I mean. Tattle on them like a warrior.

Also maybe there should be a rule about asking people questions about people who have asked not to be interviewed, that seems like a devious workaround waiting to happen.

yes chrysanthemum

66. are you okay with the shockmaster/kinumi thread hijack

67. do you want to make badges again

68. in a pokemon world, what "job" would you take (trainer, coordinator, ranger, etc.)

69. free speech or the right of being comfy

70. least favorite videogame genre(s)

Also maybe there should be a rule about asking people questions about people who have asked not to be interviewed, that seems like a devious workaround waiting to happen.

is it really

there's a world of difference between what you think and what mumu thinks you think, for instance

I don't think that is necessary. Harassment is harassment. Rumor mongering counts in my book. We don't need individual rules if they are already covered by the site rules.

I am a fan of rules, you should see all the edits I've made to the code of conduct whenever I noticed an argument could be made against a certain warn type based on the phrasing >:D.

I've also stealthily added a bunch in recent times. Because of members who exceeded expectations, as we spoke of!

Well, the NM/Narga thing for example wouldn't actually be against site rules (although it did once get out of hand enough that we had to ask people to stop), it just bothers him and I know it'd come up lol. There's just something scummy about that combined with a thread that is designed to attract the user being asked questions. It's normally a walk-away scenario, but in a thread that's supposed to be for them during that week it crosses the line a bit imo.

that's actually... not really cool

updating rules without telling people about it feels kinda orwellian if you ask me

if they don't want to be asked questions, they can opt out - like you did

if the questions are merely annoying, they can dodge them

storm in a teacup imo

That was a joke lol. The only CoC edit that was an actual new rule has been the IP chat rule because we hired an IP chat mod. I still haven't gotten around to making a thread about that...

17. What factors led to you having the traits you listed earlier? What changes could have made you different from who you are today?

17. A lot is down to personality. I think if I opened up more when I was younger then I might be more outgoing. I'm more open than I was, I think, but it feels like I opened quite late, if that makes sense. Also if I did more extracurricular activities I'd have more experience (and my CV would be less blank). I should've went out more, grabbed opportunities, and get into contact with the outside world, and learn how to socially interact. I'm always afraid of doing things wrong, to the point where I refrain from doing them. I should be more fearless sometimes and not worry about what others think. Oh perhaps I should've spent some of my gaming time doing other stuff instead...

And other traits come from growing up and realizing my own set of "standards", like being kind to other people. There were times I teased other people when I was a kid, but now I know it's not a nice feeling to be teased like that.

66. are you okay with the shockmaster/kinumi thread hijack

68. in a pokemon world, what "job" would you take (trainer, coordinator, ranger, etc.)

69. free speech or the right of being comfy

70. least favorite videogame genre(s)

66. No prob. I wish them good luck...

67. I'm a bit lazy for that you'd have to do them.

68. Can I be a berry grower? I want to farm loads of berries. :3

69. This makes me think of the recent Singapore news. Is that what inspired this question? Well this is difficult. I think I'd go for right of being comfortable. If those in power will guarantee me stability, comfort, security, then I'd probably be willing to exchange my freedom of speech. But on second thoughts, this is my passivity and laziness speaking. Besides, any system is prone to abuse. May as well stick to mah libarty~ an' freedom~

70. Least favourite, not sure, but least played genre is most likely FPS. It's just not attractive to me.

Did you feel bothered by my questions? :(

Not at all! I welcome them.

yes, you can be a berry farmer

71. you're in akiba, able to buy weeb stuff for cheap - what would you get

72. spirit or letter of the law/contract

73. do you usually remember your dreams, what's the last dream you remember and are willing to share

74. the joy of crafting or the thrill of random drops

75. since you interpreted #69 as democracy vs dictatorship, i'd like to ask that question again under this angle - free speech or silencing of potentially harmful viewpoints

How did you come up with your name?

Favorite fictional character ever?

First game you remember playing?

Favorite time of the year?

Favorite animal?

1. Username? At the time the best I could think of was NomadicTrooperGirl because I liked Sue from FE6, I'm female, and I thought it was amusingly long.

2. Gee that's tough. I rarely have favouritests because I love many many. Here I'm going to say Yang Wen-Li from LoGH because he is just amazing, and he's down-to-earth so he doesn't seem too fictional/farfetched (except maybe for the fact he's super super smart but hey we get geniuses in life too). He is so passionate about his views, he simply wants a stable life, but will also fight for what he believes in.

3. First game I remember playing is Tetris. Actually there may have been others, but I forgot the chronological order of things. I used to sit in a makeshift blanket hut and play Tetris lol.

4. Favourite time of the year is when it starts to get warm and the days get longer. My favourite times are when I'm in university.

5. I like fish and birds and squirrels.

3. Apparently there's a lot of "banned sex acts" in the UK. What are your thoughts on said restrictions?

3. Wow those are peculiar. Looking at a particular list here, a lot of them sound bizarre to me, and the bans don't affect me. Besides, it looks like if people are really into those things then they can still watch content from outside the UK. Too bad for the UK porn producers. I must say though, "spanking" doesn't seem too dangerous, compared to the more potentially violent ones listed. And "facesitting", supposedly... But heck, Fifty Shades was broadcast across the nation (not that I watched it). Yeah, those restrictions seem a bit random.

14. Which of the 12 zodiac, that isn't yours, do you like the most?

15. If you wrote a manuscript describing your past or what you want from your future, which would it be and how many chapters(or pages) would it contain?

Literally the same.

14. Ooh I don't know the characteristics of each zodiac (except mine). I'll have to read them up first to give a good answer, for now I'll say rabbit or sheep sounds cute.

15. Since I'm not a very future person, I'd write about my past. It probably wouldn't be too long, I'd just try and write some of my thoughts down and the things I learned from my life.

16. Favourite type of scenery ooh so many. I like colourful things.

Can you see this page? Cherry blossoms

Murano island (I've actually been here!!) Oh I love sunsets.

Venice sunset Oh this photo makes it look so beautiful... I was exactly here, but I didn't catch the same lighting.

Also I love lights at night. Well there's a theme. I like flowers, natural things too, but also manmade detailed architecture.

17. I would teach them to have a positive outlook on life and try to be happy with what they have.

18. I used to read about Greek myths, they were so fantastical and weird. I don't remember if I had a favourite... I had a thing for Persephone's story back then.

What good luck on what no

i mean huh

2.How u doin

chill Tonton I'm not shipping Kinumi with Shockmaster don't you worry.

2. I'm doing fine thanks.

I can see it, yeah. I am positively amazed at the Cherry Blossom Lake. *make that now two places in Japan I want to visit.*

You lucky lady, those spots look fantastic, I imagine listening to the flowing water would be nice too.

(I may or may not have a soft spot for views with a lake/ocean/water)

Heh, me too, the lights at night are always pretty nice to see, just once I'd like to see them from above.

19. What places would you like to travel to, aside from the above mentioned? (I guess the actual question is, What scenic views do you want to witness for yourself?)

yay

71. Can I also take the train/tram to Ikebukuro, the supposed Otaku girls' heaven? I would probably buy figurines of stuff I like, eg Madoka. Manga is a problem because I can't read Japanese, but maybe I'd buy some artbooks. Oh do they have Hello Kitty products in Akiba? I have to buy some. Also I'd buy various other things that look nice like keychains, notepads, t-shirts, accessories.

72. I don't understand. @_@

73. I remember some of my dreams, of course it helps if once I wake up I immediately try to recall it. Lol I just had an interesting (for me) dream today... I'll omit "that" part and say that near the end I was trying to help someone out who seemed in trouble. She is someone I sort of know, but who I wouldn't normally be cosy with. It looked like a guy was threatening her with something, he held a bunch of papers, I thought it would help if I snatched them off him but actually it didn't seem to help so I was a bit embarrassed/apologetic. In the end we were taking pictures together outside with another girl, as if we were great friends.

74. Joy of crafting. Though you still need the materials from random drops, most of the time! /o\

75. Geez in that particular example/article it seems extreme. There's nothing wrong with a healthy debate. Then again what's a healthy debate? But if you don't accept that other people have different viewpoints and shut them down entirely then that's not very healthy and it's very narrow-minded. Freedom yo... Besides, debating about ideas offends those people? I know freedom of speech should have some limits, it's a bit difficult to pinpoint where the boundary is in expressing your views and slandering people, but just silencing other viewpoints is extreme.
