Klokinator
It's like saying having splinters in all your toes is an improvement over having both your feet crushed by anvils. Yeah, it's better, but far from desirable.
Blademaster!
Shark's sprite...I actually checked and the closest he seems to be is a recolored Jaffar's or some other person's with a cloak-based robe body, a mix of Karel's front hair (FE6 version) and what looks like Sue's braid closer with the back braid being from...I honestly haven't seen any character with that specific braid and I have no idea what kind of face that is. I'm actually curious: Just what kind of splice is that, if it even is a splice? (Well, at least the frontal hair is definitely Karel's from FE6, that I'm almost certain of). All I can remember about it is that it's a splice(hugh for the face, Karel/Sue/Lance for the hair, karel for the body, and some character's scarf(have no idea who) but I think the ribbon at the end of his hair was custom. It was made to look like Shanam and was used in my first hack ever back in 2009.

TheMoniker
Apparently Flo is her own mother, I wonder how that works? Haha, I didn't even NOTICE that! Good catch! There's only one burning question that I have: What do the shops sell? Nothing entertaining. actually i did play it, but i didn't finish it. i got up to like, chapter 6 or 8ish, and overall its a big improvement, but i don't know if i would call it good. Yeah, that was the impression I got from the prologue. Better...but not much. Hello babes and bros. Welcome back to... Corrupt Theocracy: Episode 23: Chapter 22: Part 1: Flier Spam As you can see, Blademaster put a little bit of BS here to kill Merlinus right off the bat. But we want to keep him alive because of the shops. Thanks to our positioning, it isn't a problem. Let's get this out of the way... Dangelo: again. And Jake already shows up somewhere in this chapter, so I figured why not use Dangelo instead? Sure, he’s dead story wise now, but I’m breaking the fourth wall so who cares. YEAH! Take this money as a gift from me to you. But don’t expect anymore any time soon alright? Uh... This conversation kinda gives off a "Decay of the Fangs" vibe...or maybe "Project Z" is what I'm thinking of... either way, we should have a little more spending money for the sho- HOLY WHAT SIXTY FIVE THOUSAND GOLD So...we're not gonna be starved for cash anytime soon... Combined with my previous selling spree, we now have a genuinely ludicrous amount of gold. Believe it or not, we'll actually get an excuse to spend a lot of it eventually. Not this chapter, but later. The first turn is of course trying to jam yourself into this tiny pathway and taking out as many of the enemies nearby as you can. Eli and Flo do well forthemselves. I'm not too concerned about saving XP at the moment, just about everyone's gonna end up 20/20 regardless of what I do. Anna: chapter 20? Or the boots and Ocean Seal in Chapter 18? We missed the brave bow, but the Ocean Seal/Boots are OURS! Jake: It’s importance will let you recruit a lot of people in the near future! Actually, there aren't a lot of people left to recruit. We have almost everyone at this point, and according to Blademaster's little guide there aren't any people coming anytime soon. Oh man, that unpromoted generic is- still alive. Falco just sucks that much. CHARGE OF THE PALADINS The friendlies try to help, but don't do that well. Really, it should say something about Falco's stats that a greenie willingly engaged him. Keep going Craft! All I want is skill! You too Kaze! I trust you won't waste the Afa's drops! See these wyverns? They're heading down. STRAIGHT FOR MERLINUS. We have to stop them! Flo makes me begin to wonder if I SHOULD switch out her and Star... End of the second turn, here's how things are looking. Oh, what? Generals from those forts? Already? Lyra is distracted for the first few turns thanks to the greenies. This is a good thing. Eli gets an okay level. It's the price I pay for letting him help. These guys are pressing the attack, and they're UNCOMFORTABLY CLOSE to our tent... End of the enemy phase, Eli's group is kinda...swarmed. The greenies are just about gone... Also, I'd like to point out that these wyverns are VERY strong. As in, "strong enough to be annoying but not threatening" strong. WE HAVE TO STOP THEM! This would be so much easier if Merlinus was moved down a space or two... As it is, Yin/Yang can't really help. PSEUDO-WALL GO Beautiful! As I've said, this is the point where Craft gains ultimate facerolling power. Nick is doing okay too Henry kinda...sucks. I guess it's because of his explicit lack of an A support, while everyone else has one. See? Look how much it helps! Sigh... Well, maybe he'll be revived, since he's a berserked ally. I forget what happens to him. Whether that would be good or bad is up to interpretation. I've changed my mind. Stay on the bench, lady! We also drop Falco. The poor fool doesn't even get a death quote. This is nice though. I dunno about Kerry... Yeah Eli, you can stay with your wife on the bench and...snuggle. FOREVER. That was all just one turn! And on enemy phase, MORE REINFORCEMENTS! Phew! Mary gets a useful level from helping protect Merlinus. I think Shark may actually be a good unit. But we already HAVE a swordsmaster, is the thing. This guy just spends DAYS running around, spamming that vulnerary. And he's the only ally left. LET'S SEE YOU GET MERLINUS NOW Gringo finally sees some action! Great! Defense! I'll take it! Is it just me, or do the stats on this guy bear a striking resemblance to Chaos!Canas? Of course, there is the lack of RES... She's sitting on a mountain, she'll be FINE. Probably. Definitely. Lyra's range is crazy. You CAN'T advance without risking having half your health bar taken out in one shot. Yeah, I should stop using her. Oh hey! A talk! Larry: Lord Eli. How are you? Eli: Calm and composed as always Larry? Just like your father. He’s been feeling much better last I heard. Larry: Is that so? Well then, thank you for the update. So worth the effort! Also, I'd like to point out that paladins have been coming from the upper fort in addition to the generals from the lower ones. We're ALL ALONE! But we're so strong it doesn't matter! Grr... Start of turn...4 or 5 or so... and since all the enemies at the top have spent their time charging towards us, it looks like the map will be pretty clear once we finish wiping these guys! Uh oh, we gotta kill this guy! Or we could retreat and block him! That works too! Kerry and Sandy can talk too? Sandy: Kerry! Good to see you again. Kerry: Sandy. How are you? Sandy: Oh, you know me… Kerry: No, I don’t. Sandy: Oh, right. I forget at times. We’ve only met… twice? Kerry: More than that. We just never talk. Sandy: Yep! That’s sounds about right! So what do you want to talk about? Kerry: Nothing. Shark has told me about you. There wasn’t much of interest. Sandy: Yeah, he said you were a bitch to everyone but him. Kerry: I think you mean detatched. Sandy: Perhaps. But I prefer bitch. Kerry: Oh, I guess you don’t share your brother’s intellect. Sandy: Well, you don’t either! *Sandy leaves* Kerry: That is true though… Uh...okay? Hi generals! How do you like being BOXED IN? This would have actually killed Eli. Such a great prepromote... Merlinus is safe! Nothing else should attack him! Strength! Defense! The essence of the general! Also, this is actually his strength cap. Sword generals have a lowered strength cap in exchange for some skill and speed, if I remember right. Perfect level! Once again, we're looking good! WHEN SUDDENLY FLIERS So yeah, 6 fliers. That you can't really stop from attacking you, because fliers. These guys are extra super annoying, and they won't stop for a good bit. I mean just look at how annoying this is. Oh wow, they actually boxed Kaze in. Not very well, though. Man, this lady is gonna cap all her stats, isn't she? Except HP, but that can't really be helped. That's strength and speed capped. Such a balanced class. Another wave! Hurrah! And then Mary gets nuked by Lyra. It was bound to happen eventually. Some of my units re-get levels, the only notable difference being that Nick snagged one too this time. Okay, cutting it here, but I'll post the follow-up soon! TheMoniker
NOTE: I had to edit the above post with a bit of extra stuff due to an image miscalculation. If you read it before this was posted, look again! Hello babes and bros, welcome back to... Corrupt Theocracy: Episode 23: Chapter 22: Part 2: It Feels Like it Won't Stop OW! Stupid Lyra! Stupid peg! Yes yes Larry, we get it, you're "important". Now we've blocked the way for pegs to attack Larry. Just LOOK at this insanity. The main problem is that you can't attack the bulk of it thanks to the mountain line! And no, we can't fly a flier ahead. She's tough enough to resist. Even if we use a physical weapon! We get some meh levels. Offscreen, because I had to cut some images. Why isn't Sofie's staff rank going up? She's been spamming staves the whole chapter! Blademaster removed the ability to get S staves because S staves is useless. Sorta true, I guess. You're good, Kaze. You're bad, Flo. Iamsofunny A third wave of reinforcements come! JOY! STRENGTH! YES! THANK YOU! And it's immediately counteracted. These fliers man. They are QUITE annoying. Whether or not they will cap everything remains to be seen... Oh hey! He stopped after three waves! Thank you! Lyra retreats up here, which is bad since I was trying to sneak Craft closer. If he could just give Star support bonuses, maybe we could kill her... Meh and meh. Come on Kaze! You still have strength and defense to gain! Use those "Afa's drops"! Suddenly, Mary is on the scene, ready to avenge herself and her lover! DIE, YOU STUPID LADY! She profits nicely. Bowen lures out the snipers. All that's left is mop-up...right? Craft has passed the mountains! Him and Star will head straight for Mac! Beautiful and beautiful! ...More or less, at least. Since the remaining enemies aren't a threat, we have a LOT of moving to do to get to the throne. When you have 18 units, it's insanely boring to move them all. Bluh. WHEN SUDDENLY MORE REINFORCEMENTS So yeah...first, the game puts out reinforcements from the forts. Then around the castle. Then pauses for a few turns...and then does BOTH TOGETHER. This is just artificial chapter lengthening at this point! I was kinda worried they would head for Merlinus. They didn't. Oh, and there's a paladin and sniper from these forts that the camera didn't even scroll to! Timed just perfectly to be where the rest of your troops are! Sometimes I wonder if Blademaster is secretly an evil brilliant mastermind...but that's unlikely. Craft is at least profiting from this nonsense. And some other people. These guys drop really easy. They aren't threatening, just...annoying. Honestly, those words could be used to describe the entire hack. SAVESTATE FORESIGHT GO And OF COURSE there's a second wave! Good, good... BLOCKED! Are you guys ready for... The worst conversation ever? Sandy: Hello brother. Shark: Sandy… I’m so sorry about what you had to go through… Sandy: It’s alright. I never let my customers get what they wanted anyway. Wait...what? Shark: You didn’t! No way! Sandy: Yep! Just got them drunk, knocked them out and stole all their cash! Too bad Donovan couldn’t do the same… WHAT!? Well...this certainly puts a new spin on her backstory...but you have to wonder how such "tactics" could even WORK. I mean, this is really inconsistent with the dialogue early on in the game. Shark: Well he is a guy… He probably enjoyed all the women he had. This line offends me. Greatly. Sandy: Yeah… but he did get two male customers. Wait, you aren't serio- ... ... ... ... ...NOT FUNNY. Shark: …That sucks dude. That...that whole conversation...just...UGH! I HATE IT! Gah! It's TERRIBLE! Just TERRIBLE! THIS IS TERRIBLE TOO! No, I'm not retreating Craft or Star. Time to REALLY test the power of supports! But then they attack people that aren't Craft instead! THIRD WAVE! BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH INSANITY! WOOOOO! Star has apparently decided to start gaining strength. I'm happy. Maybe...just maybe...she can clean up her life and once again become...a star. But it won't be today, because she is literally out of weapons. No, seriously. That's just how bad our weapon situation is. Tip to you hackers, don't make your players go too long without shops. More killing...and I'm sending troops to help Craft, who's all alone. Not that he isn't strong enough to handle it himself. FOURTH WAVE. BECAUSE THAT ISN'T TOO MUCH OR ANYTHING. REPETITION IS CLEARLY GOOD FOR GAMEPLAY! Meanwhile, the general tide approaches! Nick and Gringo are there to stop it! Ow! OW! Since Craft has capped some of his stats, this is more than acceptable. Okay, maybe it WAS a bad idea to use Mr. Bad Prepromote as bait! FORESIGHT POWERS GO, AGAIN YES ITS FINALLY OVER YES I'm all out of level commentary. Sorry, guys, there just isn't much left to say. There's just...nothing left to say... Nothing left... Nothing... See, this is with Sandy using ALL of her supports. Our lords still haven't promoted, and...it's becoming quite problematic for their combat. Hey, don't flee to heal! Come on! Fight me! Aw, Gringo! Be a better general! Okay Mac...TIME TO DIE! Supports make EVERYTHING easy! He actually FAILED to crit the second time, but he killed Mac anyway! In one round! WHAT A CLIMATIC BOSS FIGHT! HP cap! Keep in mind I haven't used ANY statboosters on my units at all. Everything you see from him and everybody else is natural. Oops. left the animations on. Anyways, one of the fliers on the forts suicides into Kat, figuring he's use his last breath to annoy me. It doesn't really work. Welp! All clear! Finally! It BETTER have a good selection! It's just... a standard iron/steel shop... Whatever, it's better than nothing. I take a bunch of stuff. Note that I brought the silver card as a because-I-can thing, I doubt I'll ever exhaust this insane cash. You know, Sophie was kind of my midgame crutch character on my first run. Here, she's just been okay. Huh. The vendor has tiers 1-2(1-3 for anima) tomes, some staves, and door keys too for some reason. I grab some tomes, because we're short on everything right now. But at this point in the game, I was really hoping for some higher-tier gear... One more talk. Kerry: Oh, Yang. You’re here too? Now maybe I won’t have to fight as much. Yang: That’s right! The less others fight, the more I get to! Kerry: You really live for battle don’t you? Yang: Yes! Even more so than father or Gan! Kerry: I see… I’m the opposite. Odd career choice then. Yang: You just haven’t seen the beauty of War! Kerry: And you haven’t seen the beauty of peace. Yang: No. I have. And it’s boring. War has substance! Action! Chaos! Peace is just repeatative! IT'S TOTALLY A WORD WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT Kerry: …You should have met my father when he was younger. Maybe ONE more... Kerry: Oh, Yin. You’re here. Yin: Detached and emotionless as always Kerry. Kerry: Only when I’m not around Shark. Yin: I would hope so. He is your fiancé. Kerry: Are you ever going to settle down? Yin: I don’t know. Father never did, and we are just his bastard children. …But maybe one day… That would be nice. Okay, let's just leave. I'm in no mood to see all 43 or whatever it was. Gunni: Quickly everyone! The battle continues inside! Donovan: How strong is your brother? As strong as this Mac fellow? Hah! That isn't saying much! Gunni: No, stronger… Zypher is the wielder of the Emblem Sword like my father before him. The Emblem blade, that's a bit more of a problem. But surely we'll be okay! Donovan: I see… Gunni: Donovan… Please! Protect me from harm and take me to my brother! I’ll talk to him and brake him free from his berserk prison! Oh man, is it gonna be a GUNNI ESCORT MISSION? Nope. Surprisingly short ending, but I guess I'm grateful! Next time, we invade Earth Clan castle! Guess what map it is?

Blademaster!
You can't get S rank in staves since staff rank is based on class ala FE4, so no one can grow beyond the staff rank they join you with unless they promote into a new class with a higher staff rank. The only exception was the one guy who joined you with S rank in staves who was the only character who could use the Hammerne staff IIRC. It was something I primarily implemented to give bishops/clerics/priests an edge over Troubadours/Valkyries since they both used staves and light magic but the latter classes were mounted, in addition to creating more differences between other magic classes since Sage's could use 3 types of magic, but then the others could only use two kinds. This is done by making it so that staves don't give any weapon exp and manipulating base staff weapon levels by class. The Sun God's Challenge was going to/made use of the same system. A promoted class being unable to achieve an S rank in something by default so that it just stops at A rank like an unpromoted class while still being able to obtain S ranks in other weapons, which is what I think you're implying is the case though perhaps I'm just reading too much into it, is a feature well beyond the scope of any knowledge on the subject of hacking I've ever had since I never bothered with assembly hacking(I don't even think Blazer's tutorial even covered that topic yet back then?). And to implement a feature like that, I'm pretty sure that's what you would need to do to accomplish such a feat, though I may be wrong? It's certainly something I've never known how to do, so it makes me feel like you're giving me too much credit over something that is beyond what I have ever known. TheMoniker
Actually Blademaster's right, I was totally wrong. He made staff rank fixed for specific classes/characters, like he said. Sorry about the misconception, my memory's foggy on some of the specifics of this hack.

TheMoniker
In the beginning I was thinking "why the hell isn't he moving Merlinus out of range" and then it hit me. Haha, yeah, this makes me miss the conveniences of Chaos Mode at times... is it ch 26 original game chapter? A lot of the reused maps actually are used on the chapter number they initially existed on, but not this one. Today's castle is chapter 28. I thought that was pretty clever myself... To be honest, in spite of what Klok said, I actually do not like when all my healers are either forced to get a rather useless S rank or not heal for a year while they get their light rank up. I do like Klok's solution better, though. Hello babes and bros. Welcome back to... Corrupt Theocracy: Episode 24: Chapter 23: Part 1: Not Defending Anymore Guess who ISN'T appearing this chapter? Bluedier #68: would like to report! Eli: News from Merc? Bluedier 68#: Yes you see, it appears that… ...And then it just cuts away...JUST LIKE MIDNIGHT SUN. Sometimes I secretly wonder if every major hacker has played this hack and uses bits and pieces of it for their hacks. Enemies spam-spawn everywhere, and... Hey, we start in a new position! Of course, there's a few problems, as we will see and as you might be able to guess. Gunni: My brother is likely in the throne room! Remember to take me to him so that I may talk to him!(Note: There’s a text skip here but I caught the dialogue anyway) …But if we do fight and deafeat my brother, then we should wait where he stood to let the enemy know he has been defeated. Well...this conversation is off for a number of reasons...but the main one being that no escorting will actually be going on. Gunni quite simply DOESN'T appear in gameplay. Zypher: How interesting these infidels are… First off, it turns out this guy ISN'T Zypher, which is what I initially thought when transcribing, Also, buddy, they're YOUR OWN COUNTRYMEN! At least ACKNOWLEDGE that you're being mind controlled! END DIALOGUE As you can see, we have the "special" objective again. Not that it's really that special. Or interesting. FINALLY we get a not-sucky amount of slots! We fill ALL of them up! Also, I found a bug! See this? Perfectly normal. But if we scroll down a bit and select someone... Yeah. NOT SURE about this one. Our starting position is OVERWHELEMED. No, seriously, there are enemies spawning IN BETWEEN our blue units! What the heck? How does that even happen? HOW COULD ANYONE THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA? Starting the chapter... Janet: there something that you might want to do with me? Janet, can you PLEASE get a better personality? Donovan: No, not really. We’re in battle right now and I don’t us losing any body parts. You're making it worse, Donovan! Janet: Oh yeah. So how about after the battle then? Donovan: You know… After we meet Brammimond, you started to calm down a bit and me, you, Craft, Iris, Sandy, Ricky, Star, Sal, and Kat would all hang together, talk, dance, and play cards. You don't need to list everyone and everything, Donovan! Donovan: And it was because of that I got to see who you really are. And I like you more that way. I just don't get this romance "subplot". Janet: But I’m not the only one you like right? Donovan: ….. Janet: Iris is fine, but anyone else is definetly not! I just DON'T. Okay! Let's get started! First, we have to kill these people that have spawned next to us! Also, I'd like to point out a problem with this map. It was a map meant to be defended, not attacked! Trust me, this'll get even worse with a certain map later on... However, it's STILL better than Blademaster's "normal" custom maps. Let's do this support right now! Elliot: Ah! Kaze! How is my scarf coming along? Kaze: It looks very nice Elliot. Elliot: Thank you! I worked all night on it! But Hellen and Larry merely laughed at me. Kaze: That doesn’t surprise me. Repub nobles are generally like that. Though my father has told me that there are exceptions. Such as the water clan noble who came here long ago with her lover. Elliot: I wonder if you mean Lady Ulala… But she and Ether never visited Merc together… how odd. Could you guys please focus on your own romance, and not the romance of others? Regardless, this is probably the best support we've seen yet. She uses that support to get a beautiful strength-capping level! Louis and Mary fail to do the same! First turn setup! We wipe out everyone and have started moving forwards! Some people come out of the fog, but otherwise, little happens. This chapter is mostly a long trek with occasional bursts of spammy hardness. LET'S SEE EVERYTHING Well, there isn't much up here, apparently. The throne room is...empty? Speed cap for Star, but not so for Lila! Thieves. Of course. Naturally, you start so near to the treasure rooms that they aren't really a threat... Or ARE they? The thief runs off this way. of course. Also, this door opens during the enemy phase. Bad level... There's more valkyries over here. See, this chapter can get VERY spammy if you don't get yourself through that corridor quickly. It's hard to fight in a 2-wide area. Magic. Therefore, good level. Star is attacked. It doesn't work. Now, I want to show you something... If you wait in either of the two spaces next to the door, you get this. There are a few problems: 1: Why would someone locking their door mean that they escaped? I'd lock MY door if I knew enemies were running through my castle! 2: You can get this even if you're having a thief or someone else open the door. 3: ENEMIES can get this dialogue too, which leads to a hilariously glitchy portrait speculating. Speed cap. Keep going Kat! Max skill, strength, and speed, and you're good! One of those is already done, actually... She's actually capped most of her stats, so this is good. Oh yes. Because we SO NEED THIS. Oh what? So yeah, opening that door triggered the movement of LOTS of troops who were set to pursue. Now they're going to storm down that previously-unoccupied corridor. if you think it's a good idea to send everybody down the other path, except for Larry and someone to guard Merlinus, you will PAY for that. DEARLY. Mind you, I don't consider putting something like this in a fog chapter to be entirely fair. Also, thieves just keep coming. And it's aggravating. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ATTACK ME INSTEAD OF GOING FOR THE CHESTS! They're just JAMMING themselves inside! Beautiful. THIS is actually useful. We want that. SAL(with Janet's support) WILL FACE THEM! With the valkyries cleared, the other team finds their half...surprisingly empty. I made them a bigger force because I thought their job would be harder, but nope. More thieves. Is there really a point to them at this point? Was there EVER a point to them? THEY RIDE LIKE THE WIND Woo... NOT HELPING! I'd like to point out that these guys are fast and tough, very similar to the Part 1 paladins. Wait...what if they ARE the paladins from part 1, making the crappy tutorial segment CRAPPIER, and now that we're really tough it's our chance for revenge? YES. THAT MUST BE THE CASE. This is all that's down here. I guess the guy that isn't Zypher didn't flee downwards. Honestly, it's really obvious where he's fled to. And now this door is open. Will a flood of enemies attack the right group too? Sal GETS MURDERING! Come on...cap defense...and HP... You won't be killing her, fools! Speed! Defense! Everything a monk needs! Now get some magic and res. You wyverns are so last chapter. You're still profitable though! Uh huh... Okay, I don't think there's much more lying in wait. The left group will live, and make it to their destination on time! Meanwhile, the right group is running into some difficulties. Oops. OOPS. Okay, before I cut it, I wanna something. See these stats? They aren't bad stats. For a level 20 unit they're AMAZING. For a higher-level promoted unit in FE7, heck, they'd be passable! However, there's something you've probably noticed: Donovan STILL HASN'T PROMOTED. And he won't promote at the end of this chapter, despite the massive plot accomplishment! He won't promote the next chapter, or the chapter after that! He STILL has a ways to go for promotion! Blademaster pulls a FE6 and makes you wait FOREVER to promote your lords! I'm entirely serious in saying he won't promote until the rest of the army is 20/20! Anyways, we'll be finishing this ordinaryfest of a chapter next time! Also...THE AMAZING SNIPER STACK! I've been talking about how insane and crazy the endgame will be a lot. We're getting quite close. Not there yet, but trust me, the hack's endgame will reach new levels of insanity, where warps, cheesing, and supports will be our only means of survival. TheMoniker
Hello babes and bros. Welcome back to... Corrupt Theocracy: Episode 24: Chapter 23: Part 2: An Actually Tough Boss I meant to compare this to Donovan's stats last chapter, but I didn't. Dang. Anyways, Donovan is roughly as strong as the enemies. Not good. Beautiful. But he still needs magic! On this side, the enemies attack Kaze...to little effect. Donovan actually has good RES. These valkyries simply aren't a threat. Dang, they boxed her in again! As usual, she escapes. Just LOOK at these stats! Even with the Afa's drops, those are insane! The slaughter continues. All that's left is you, thief. Okay... Yeah, Mandrake totally needs magic. She's capped enough of her stats that this is okay. Really, many of my units are starting to cap stats now. We're going to hit the end of the level curve soon, and then...and then the enemies will start catching up... Louise recovers from poison and gets a bad level. He hasn't capped enough stats for this to be okay. Magic! SOMETHING spawns in the darkness... I seriously have doubts about her HP. We're converging on the courtyard! Not-Zypher better be there! I think something else spawned...but it's scrolling to a really weird place... What's going on in that fog? I'll take it! HP is one of the few things many of my people need! I think Lila actually turned out better than Sophie, for magic if nothing else. Then again, there's still plenty of levels left. Valkyries have B staffs. This is the point I realized I advised you wrong last episode. This chapter alternates between annoying walking and annoying fighting, but FINALLY we're alm- ...What the heck? Uh...apparently, yes! Oh, and it's not just one, it's multiple units, stacked onto the same tile, that keep coming on enemy phase, regardless of the fact that logically they should block each other! I just don't get it. At this point I don't think this is that remarkable. OH. WOW. GEE. THANKS. Man, are there even enough magic users in the game to use all these? Look closely. There's THREE. It's a stack of THREE. He BETTER be somewhere in those last few fog tiles! Okay, just three. They're gone now. THERE he is! And...he's not Zypher, he's Georg! And it's REALLY WEIRD! For the first time EVER, we have a challenging boss. Tankiness, speed, attack... he might be a challenge. maybe. And the Emblem blade is crazy OP, of course. This isn't accurate! Gee, I wonder why? I'm serious, this guy's attack is insane. It isn't balance when half your units can't even TRY to engage a unit! MANDRAKE WILL DO IT Oh, he actually put in the FE6 animation! WHO CARES ABOUT THAT CRAPPY ARMOR Oh, and if you don't have supports to abuse, you can talk and get him to back down. Again, with the exact same dialogue as if you beat him normally. But that's not what we're doing. Dead! No idea why he's suddenly being all cagey. He's been clearly established as being able to speak. Oh come on! I gave you the kill for the climax boss! At least get magic! One more support. Uh, so...no idea why this is. The support is totally normal, except for the portrait. Wait a minute...ERIKA HAS COME BACK TO HAUNT ME! I'M SORRY I LET YOU DIE! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME! Louis: A nomad? Wierd. And boring. Who wants to ride a horse? You’ll lose your concentration! This is why mother is so weak… Hey, it's Donovan and Larry all over again! There's nothing to mark this tile, but it still works. Hope you can remember where it is! Georg: Gunni… How are you? Gunni: Brother! Have you returned to your senses? Georg: My senses? I was out of my mind? So yeah, no slowly coming out of berserk here. Gunni says one sentence and boop! He's back on our side! Makes me wonder why we couldn't just have Gunni shout at every unit and boss that's come at us so far! Gunni: Yes! You started a rebellion and started to serve the Pope of Holy! Georg: Did I now? I can’t recall any such event. …None the less, I would like to rest now… Gunni: Of course Brother! We will talk later! Not really, Donovan. Oh hey, Ether's back! Gunni: On this day, Repub is ours once again! And I’d also like to welcome back the newly recovered Lord Ether! Ether: Thank you my lady. Henry: Yes Brother in law! Good to have you back! Eli: Although we have a happy occasion before us, I do have some bad news. Holy has hired the entire Assassin Guild to find Ohana and wipe out all other major guilds. They have already wiped out most of the guilds including the Aero Guild. The only well known group left is the Orca pirates who are being held here. Uh oh. Looks like the assassin guild won that war we heard about earlier! And now we have to head into Merc and fight them! It's not that I feel threatened, remembering their performance last time we saw them 8 or 9 chapters ago... Before everyone was promoted...and before they capped tons of stats...and got supports... yeah, it's not the assassin guild I'm worried about. It's heading to Merc, with more beautiful custom maps and general Blademaster BS. And it will be terrible. Gunni: …This is not good. Henry: Perhaps we should move out towards Merc then. I believe we need to find this Ohana yes? Eli: That would be for the best. Invading Holy will have to wait. Ether: I will stay behind and protect the country while you are gone. What's the point of bringing him back then? Ether: Besides, your army is mostly made up of Wha-that "trash" has been the sole reason you're winning! Don't diss us! Gunni, give him a RIGHTEOUS verbal beat down! AGGGHHH! YOU ARE THE WORST TACTICIAN EVER! Sometimes I wish you were a REAL Mary Sure instead of just TRYING to be one! Oh hey, it's... Zeke, was his name from FE6? Gunni: Typhoon? You are unharmed? Typhoon: Luckily, I was imprisoned after safely escorting you into Eli’s protection. Gunni: Excellent! So you will continue to fight by my side? Typhoon: Of course! It would be my pleasure! Well...at least one person is joining us today...even if the story doesn't really make sense... Gunni: And I am glad to see you safe as well Orca! Will you be joining us too? Orca: Sorry Prissy. I’m going to help protect the castle. WHY IS EVERYBODY PROTECTING THE CASTLE? Gunni: I see. Well good luck to you then! One last dialogue spurt... HIS NAME WAS GEORG DANGIT! Iforgethisname: Yes your Holiness. So...yeah, this guy, the Pope, the ORCHESTRATOR of this entire, STUPID adventure...is a random FE6 bishop dude portrait. It's...so disappointing it's trolly. Aurora: I see. I take it that they will go to Merc to find that woman… IFHN: We may have lost Repub, but we may still gain Merc and we have Mage. No, I'm going to go murder Merc, and I ALREADY murdered Mage. Aurora: Yes. If the Assassin guild falls, then we will immediately invade Dragon. Wa- so, you're LAST reliable minion group falls, and...you go to get more by invading a powerful nation that has so far been lenient with you? Well, with tactics like these, the outcome of this war is easy to see. NEXT TIME: The lack of assassins!

Toa
Typhoon's original name was Galle/Gail, and the pope is no generic! That's Yodel! Still lame, though would it really be better to have a custom or splice?

TheMoniker
misleading titles again. Well, he wasn't THAT amazing, but he was the toughest boss so far! how dare you call the magnificent yodel a generic random fe6 bishop dude Yodel's so generic he counts. Typhoon... to Gale... ugh Once again, I didn't even notice that! Hello babes and bros. Welcome back to... Corrupt Theocracy: Episode 25: Chapter 24: Part 1: Another Beautiful Custom Map This update...well, let's just say there won't be much to commentate on. This chapter is just boring, nothing else. As usual, people spam-deploy everywhere. Even us. The walking events that have been present for the past few chapters start to disappear at about this point. Donovan: Even I have heard of their power. Because Donovan totally gives off a country boy vibe. Eli: Their strength is legendary. Even when I was young, and long before that, they have been thought of as the strongest force in Merc. Gunni: They have two different forces. The Assassin’s and the breakers. The Assassin’s are lead by Death and are all Assassins. The breakers are made up of warriors who live for the battle such as Swordsmasters, Warriors, Heros, and Berserkers. So, these are the groups we get to fight, over the course of 2 agonizing chapters. This one just has rain to annoy us, but trust me, the next one is even worse. Donovan: So we will need good luck, speed, and defense to win eh? Gunni: Right. Hey! No mechanic lampshading! ...Uh... Who's THAT guy? Turns out he's Gan, that guy we're supposed to recruit! We'll get that...amazing...portrait onto our team soon enough! Oh hey, it's Jello from Orca's chapter! Now we have to really fight him! Guess how hard it will be? Jello: Very well. I will make short work of them. Just like Brunden… Oh no, he killed that guy from the Aero guild we didn't care about! Now it's almost personal! END DIALOGUE Here we go! Man, will Blademaster ever get the chapter number RIGHT? I, uh, think I lost my screenshots of the people we're deploying. For now, let me just say that we only have 12 slots, and this is the map. What beautiful enemy positioning! Iris: I was just thinking about the old days back home. Janet: Ewww… I always hated home. The only thing that I enjoyed was being with you, Jeff, and Mom. But now, I look to the future… I await the world that you and Nova will create. Iris: Astra would be a much better ruler… Janet, would you NOT toggle rapidly between two personalities for a second? Iris: You should really take Donovan’s advice to heart. Janet: I always do when he is around! But you know that I am right! Iris: Probably. I just… Janet: You don’t want to rule with Nova anymore. Iris: That was always my father’s idea. Not mine. Janet: Yes my lady. See? SEE!? Okay, here's the setup. And that wyvern isn't Mary... It's Typhoon! And...he sorta sucks! He has crippling weaknesses in several stats(good speed though), and we already have a wyvern who's better, so we can't use him! The generics aren't that tough this chapter. Jello hasn't changed a bit, except now he has a gate. He won't be hard to defeat, trust me. Gan is over here, also labeled as a commander. He will be on our side, so I'll say it now: He's a pretty okay berserker, but he has terrible RES and SKILL, and thus craft is better. She only has three stats left to gain. This is good. Listen. I know you guys are in no mood to read a long spiel of level commentary. How about I just post tons of levels at once and comment on them as a whole? I mean, as a from-now-on thing. ...After this one. This is a good level for Mandrake. I hope he'll cap defense, though... Brave Nomad: only the worthiest and most skilled axe users can wield it! Don’t believe me? See for yourself! Well...it's better than a guiding ring! Also, if you look, you can see that all those heros are on mountains. How typical. Good, good... our own assassin is WAY better than the ones in the guild. The warrior group is moving as a wall to attack us. Game design! Good levels. As usual. More defenses is nice. Even if it doesn't save you. Yeah, Kat is VERY fragile. 10 defense just isn't enough at this point. If her speed fails her, she drops VERY quickly. This time we live, and the warrior and berserker groups are getting very close... Stronger party get! OH THE PAIN I don't think Mandrake is the right choice for these guys. Even if he is profiting... Here they are! Gan: Shh… Sh… It’s alright Kat. It’s alright. Kat: I-I’m s-so glad that you’re safe… Gan: It’s alright Kat. Calm down. I was able to save Barry. Kat: ! You did!?!? Gan: Yes, but only him. I don’t know where he is now though. Kat: Knowing that he is safe is good enough. Gan: That’s right! So let’s kick some ass! Hey, that recruitment conversation wasn't that bad! Also, I wouldn't suggest using Gan against his own army. He lost his commander star, and didn't bother to turn any berserkers green, naturally. So he'll wait here instead. Still interested in me commentating on each one individually? NEXT TIME: Reinforcements and-guess it-MORE LEVELS!
