Also, when Ryouma overkills Elise, the armor on the horse vanishes as well.

Why doesn't her armor vanish as well?!

But honestly, I'm in love with the massively improved animations, and the critical cut-ins look pretty cool, though, the lack of dramatic lighting makes it likely that it will be changed soon.

So, Kamui's dragon form has a close range attack. Either that's his default dragonstone and dragonstones will have different effects (eg elemental breath attacks), or dragonstone's attack animation will change depending on the range.

Speaking of dragons, has anyone noted the dragon meter at the bottom right here?

Perhaps it has something to do with Kamui losing/gaining the ability to use a dragonstone...

It can be used for that too but the video showed that they're used for buying/upgrading the shops.

I don't know if it's already mentioned but the Nohr version doesn't gain exp during the street/spotpass battles.

I took the time to go through the weapon descriptions, and here you go! (n.b.: Pursuit/pursuing refers to double-attacking.)

Bronze weapons in general: +10 Ddg, cannot critical

Iron Nohrian weapons: nothing special

Iron Hoshidan weapons: (varies)

Steel weapons in general: -5 Avoid, -3 to pursuit threshold (my guess is that this means you will pursue if YourSpd-3 >= EnemySpd+5, i.e., if YourSpd >= EnemySpd+8)

Silver weapons: -2 Str and Skl for a turn after using

Swords:

Armorslayer: effective against armor, weak against other things

Wyrmslayer: effective against dragons, weak against other things

Killing Edge: -20 Avoid, increased critical damage(?) (it might be Crit Rate; I'm unfamiliar with the term used for Crit Rate in the JP version)

Levin Sword: 1-2 range, magical weapon, cannot critical, -20 Avoid (does not say "can't double")

Kodachi: 1-2 range, cannot pursue or critical, -5 to enemy pursuit threshold (I assume this means the enemy will pursue if EnemySpd >= YourSpd instead of EnemySpd >= YourSpd+5)

Axe-Cutting Katana: -10 Avoid, especially effective against axes, weak against other things

Flying Katana: 2 range (not 1-2... just 2), cannot pursue, -5 to enemy pursuit threshold

Quick-Draw Katana: +5 Spd, -1 Def and Res

Reverse Katana: reverses weapon triangle and doubles weapon triangle effects

Spirit Katana: -4 Def and Res, effective against monsters

Warrior's Katana: double counterattack damage

Lances:

Beast Killer: effective against beasts, weak against other things

Holy Lance: effective against monsters, restores HP each turn, -3 Def and Res

Killer Lance

Spear: range 2, cannot critical or pursue -5 to enemy pursuit threshold

Holy Thunder Naginata: 1-2 range, magical weapon, cannot critical, -20 Avoid (does not say "can't double")

Protector Naginata: -10 Avoid, +5 Def and Res

Reverse Naginata: reverses weapon triangle and doubles weapon triangle effects

Sword-Mowing Naginata: -10 Avoid, especially effective against swords, weak against other things

Warrior's Naginata: double counterattack damage

Staves:

Summer Festival (夏祭)

Instant Destruction of the Seven Evils (七難即滅)

Healing Items:

Vulnerary: heals 10 HP

Concoction: heals 20 HP

Gunther's Good Medicine: ???

[insert stat here] Tonic

Foodstuffs:

Berry

Fish: associated with Spd

Leafy Vegetable: associated with Res

Root Vegetable

Meat: associated with Str

Milk: associated with Spd

Peach: associated with Res

Rice Grain

Soybean: associated with Str

Wheat

Precious Stones:

Amber

Amethyst

Coral

Crystal

Jade

Lapis Lazuli

Pearl

Ruby

Sapphire

Topaz

Nice, but this begs the question: should Nohrian and Hoshidan weapons be regrouped like that? I get the feeling that the distinction matters.

I made a thread discussing the weapons earlier but it got buried: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54121

Small nitpick: the Warrior weapons' description states that it doubles 威力 on counterattack, which is the word they use for Might, not damage. It would probably be too overpowered if it doubled the entire amount of damage haha (nvm that's pretty much what brave weapons do...)

So, when will the Famitsu preview be released for this week?

I mean, I think we all know that it'll just be going over what was revealed in the Direct and the My Castle instructional video, but I'm still curious nonetheless.

I think last week we got scans on Wednesday (roughly in the morning for the US and afternoon for Europe).

EDIT: Sorry I just read you asked for when we got the preview. That may have been earlier but I forgot which day.

Going by the two previous weeks schedule, it should come out sometime tomorrow :)

That's actually really good to know! I've been trying to compile a list of what all the stats are called in Japanese.

Hmm.... Well sine amie is there.... do you think you might be able to feed them? Oh god, the horror.

If you can... well let's just say Hinoka ain't leaving' the bedroom for a while.

If you can feed people, I might just have to feed every unit I use before every single battle.

Any chance the characters page will be updated with the new info from the site?

Never!

Of course it will. I'm just one man who spent the best part of a day analysing the My Castle trailer XD

Don't feel too bad. We all just stared at the trailer for hours. And hours.

Did I mention that Rinka is now Hinoka's rival in the battle for my love? Cause she is.

I'm afraid your choice objectively incorrect, since all waifus and husbandos pale in comparison to Harold of the American Chin. Clearly, the face-rubbing mechanic was implemented just so you could massage his manly features.

Fire Emblem Amie, huh? Looks like Tsukuyomi and I are in for some good bonding sessions; even if marriage doesn't return, this is the next best thing. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Seriously, how can you say no to that face?

Well I dunno...

OMG, that face is even scarier than in the Famitsu scan ;-;

It's would say it's pretty easy to say no.

Seems they can. Cause it's all about Rinka-chan and Hinoka-chan.
