Espinosa
Yeah, it seems like this Awakening meta has careful planning and thought required to beat an experienced player at the same level that's at the very least comparable to what we had going on in the best of the Path of Radiance matches. If anything, the massive skill combos and the possibilities to take into account make it more complex. One doesn't just go in and think "who is it safe to snipe right now", even though that's always the most instinctive and at the same time comfortable way to play. You actually need to look at every character, guess their skillset and build your team to counter the majority of them. That Shockstick + Lancefaire was in case Thwompolina failed and I needed to pull something off against Walmart to win. I think the hardest characters to fight against are : - Cordelia - Priam - Yen'fay - MU It comes basically to their skill access. Cordelia and MU have a lot of viable skills, while Priam and Yen'fay have a lot of breakers (4 for Priam, 3 for Yen'fay) that makes them quite tough to kill. Not to mention Sages/Sorcerers won't work because they're outsped. Edited July 27, 2015 by Nintales
ZemZem
I'll need to read this match. Damn, Vengeance is good.
Quintessence
Ill take out Priam and Yen'Fay out of that list. Yen'Fay gets rekt by a THWOMP, and Priam is just about being tricky but THWOMP THWOMP WHOMP Ill add chrom.to that list tho, fighting him is like gambling, win or lose. I managed to kill Carmine's Chrom because of Fred's brave attacks and Cordelia Galeforce killing him and Avatar. Chrom.is for sure a threat, all them brave procs with 30% aether and 50% Luna make him imo a more threatening Assassin, similar proc rate, double chance for Luna, practically, and high damage. Beating Chrom is sort of letting RNG trick him and you just deal the final blow upon retaliations.
General Horace
Priam's pretty good against thwomps with his 49% Luna procs and has the breakers to deal with them. Yen'fay definately has issues though.

He can still get out with WTA + Lancebreaker + Swordfaire, meaning he'll get hit by generals with only Swordbreaker. (see Store and her AMAZING 11% with Brave Lance on Yewfelle!Yen'Fay) Sure, he has no skills minus Astra, but doubles the whole cast of the game with or even without Yewfelle/Balmung. He's definitely better than Gaius though. Chrom can be beaten from afar or with Astra haxx. His defenses aren't that good. Though if he procs Aether on you, you're probably dead. The best way to shut him down is probably to go for Swordbreaker/Lancebreaker!Yen'Fay. Yen'Fay gets Astra haxx, doubles him, and take care of him if he's a great lord. He's probably a PITA to handle if he ever things of going to Dread Lord. (though not so sure because if he runs Forseti, Zerker Henry/Gangrel/MU are waiting for him, and if he runs Balmung, he can get killed by Thwomp MU -not sure though, needs to do the math-) But he's sure to be a pain to deal with if you're not bowing him. AnonymousSpeed
Chrom has Bow Breaker.
Elieson
What's yenfay gonna do. Quad Astra Walhart for like 4 DMG per swing, and hope Walhart isn't running swordbrkr or Def+2?
AnonymousSpeed
Against non-thwomps, Yen'Fay's not bad. Against Thwomps, Stahl is much better. He's like Yen'Fay, but trades breakers for Luna, and is stronger.
Quintessence
Exactly. I don't ever see Yen'Fay as a huge threat due to being walled by Walhart, Frederick, and Avatar. Astra is terrible even with Swordfaire when you face someone with over 50 Def and lances, he loses 4 Atk, what will his dmg output be if they have THWOMP def and Pavise? His only targets are units he can Astra hax, but what's an Assassin's durability? 4 or 5 rounds max?
AnonymousSpeed
That's enough to maybe take someone out.
Espinosa
The one character that does completely outclass Stahl is Priam. Well, mostly. Stahl has the benefit of Bowfaire and Hit Rate+20.
Elieson
Against Thwomps, Stahl has Luna and Bowfaire, but lacks any breakers and also lacka Pavise. He isn't anything special against Walmart...probably is against other thwomps tho with his "good enough" speed.

AnonymousSpeed
If you can get him to proc Astra, at least.
General Horace
Sully's a pretty good assassin too. Luna/Astra/Swordfaire + some breakers.
Nintales
Sully's a pretty good assassin too. Luna/Astra/Swordfaire + some breakers. She also gets Aegis from paladin, making her somewhat more defensive.
Elieson
Flavia is better all around, minus the opposite breakers
Nintales
*Theorycrafting about assassins* Flavia has Pavise + Luna + Axebreaker + Lucky Seven + Bowbreaker, right? Yep, she can be quite a good assassin, because Pavise gets most of the Ass's weaknesses out, and Luna allows her to destroy generals.
