Is Kazahana viable without boost items?

She's cute, she's got great speed, but her low HP makes her unusable in Lunatic.

I have been using her a lot in my Hard Hoshido playthrough, she's fine after eating two HP boosters (Hence 10 more HP)

But now that I've just began my Lunatic IK playthrough, I am not gonna use my HP boosters on her.

Any way to make her viable? I like her.

If you are going to suggest a class change, please be a class that use swords. I hate classes that cannot use the weapon shown in the character portrait ( Man I hate my samurai Tsubaki )

Isn't her personal skill really good for groups?

It would be good if she was able to survive groups.

The only rason a friend has been able to use her effectively is via grinding sadly, she has a few levels over Kamui on his data.

Reason why I do not like Donnel much because he doesn't have any promotion classes that wield lances, which is just too bizarre when you see him carrying that lance around. It's a good thing that Mozume doesn't suffer the same problem that he did and while I'm slightly annoyed with Gregor's promotion classes not keeping his green color scheme at least it's not as big a deal to me.

In IK, you can Marry/Buddy her into Knight or Fighter, which gives her a 45% HP growth and skyrockets her STR to 75%, while giving her some defense, too. You still have to start from E again, though.

That's the issue with a lot of Hoshidans in IK. Without grinding and reclassing, they end up very squishy, as both their units and classes have generally poor HP growth.

Hana isn't a bad general, though, as the defense boost will let her actually use that skill on occasion. Hard to justify using her over other options, though.

I don't mind grinding the weapon level again, so thats no problem.

I really need her to survive a few attacks, dodging, having enough HP or pavise whatever.

Her passive skill is actually quite good.... only if she's not a squishy, now that its solved, great!

Her growths are pretty freaking amazing. She's like the Charlotte of Hoshido side, why wouldn't you use her?

And most people have bad HP growths anyway, it's like the norm in this game for some reason...

From my own numbers, I'd say it's very difficult to do so, she will definitely not survive two hits from any decent unit (though she will always have good evade and never get doubled, enemy brave weapons might be a problem if they appear more on the higher difficulties that i've not seen), and I'm fairly sure she'll have trouble taking hits once the steels/silvers come out. The difference between a Robe/Shield is the difference between 1hko'd and 2hko. She'll always be good at throwing Kodachis though, though it prevents her from using her superior speed, and you might as well use another ranged unit.

Except the part where Charlotte has the highest HP growth in the game, being able to hit a whooping 95% (high even by gba standards or most standards that isn't FE4 w/Holy Blood, for that matter) so not exactly even comparable

Not as crazy as 90ish growths but Hana is still amazing minus the HP growth.

55 Str AND Spd is very good (I am looking at you Rinka)

By leveling enough she was able to one hit kill most things (in Hoshido Hard, though) with Vantage, you can count on your luck and see if she survives.

But once its a melee unit attack followed by a ranged attack she's pretty much dead.

Not to mention the freeze spell and any kunais completely wreck her.

I'd say she's a super awesome unit if she has around 40HP

Growths don't exist in a vacuum, it needs to be looked at in conjunction to other stats, as well as bases and relative stats to the enemy. 55 str/spd personal would've been amazing with classic gba Myrmidon defensive statlines (low def, but usually decent-to-good hp around the 75-85 range), but if she's taking like, maybe 1 hit, that's not a lot of room to use those amazing offenses especially since she's melee and have to be up in people's faces.

facing 15% hitrates are still very real considering how many enemies there are over the course of one playthrough.

A skill like hers would probably be a little to strong on a defensive unit, not quite broken, but still...

Maybe the fact that she's fragile is reason they gave her that ability in the first place.
