Honestly, at this point, I wouldn't mind too much. My brother might go into a fit, though...

I was prepared for it to end after Awakening. I can prepare again.

Be a bit sad/disappointed when I hear the news, then carry on with my life as usual. It's not the end of the world; and even if the series comes to an end, there's already 14 games, so I'll still have enough FE to play whenever I want to.

Giggle.

This too.

Switch back to Toon Zelda in the rematch.

Be sad for a bit, but ultimately glad that it didn't get worse first.

Continue to play FE really

It's not like my enjoyment of the games is dependent on there being new FEs to come

i've gone through a few series deaths and close-to-deaths.

Rollcage: dead. Spiritual successor is "GRIP" and available on Steam right now. Fast as fuck (not quite F-Zero speeds but still fast) and nothing beats vehicles with huge wheels able to drive both sides up.

Ace Combat: survived. Fucking Assault Horizon sold bad and nearly killed the series as it attempted to go more Call of Duty-style, much to the dismay of its many longtime fans (including myself). Infinity was the next game - a F2P model, last-ditch attempt to bounce back from the previous game's poor sales, and it worked, thankfully. Ace Combat 7 is being released for PS4 and will be using that VR headset tech, which will work great in a cockpit setting.

Metal Arms: dead. One-off game robot world 3rd person shooter ft. vehicles and oddworld-like possession of other robots. Fucking great, would have loved a sequel.

Destruction Derby: dead. I only played Destruction Derby 2 and Raw. Died after Arenas did poorly. The style of games lives on in similar games that exist today, e.g. Next Car Game on Steam.

I have never considered Fire Emblem close to death. IIRC they were saying they'd probably stop developing FE if 13 did poorly, but alas. Waifu Shipping Simulator 2013 trend continues from its 2013 iteration into 2016, pushing even harder on the pedal.

I'd become a vegetable: eyes glazed over, mouth ever so slightly open, sitting on a chair in an empty room while contemplating where the meaning in my life went.
