Quintessence
If I use Serra (undrafted) to heal NPC Erk, is that considered a penalty?
Quintessence
C14: 13/42 +8 Had to use Erk as an NPC and Serra as a healer to make this not suck terribly because I needed Priscilla's village intact. Thank goodness the pirates are chumps that love suicide and are one shotted by Eliwood. Had to rig some dodges with eliwood because he ate his vulnerary completely. Erk dealed with a bunch of cavs and pirates on the right by chokepointing the bridge and Serra was sandwich'd between him and Marcus who also meatshielded after rescuing Erk. Afterwards he equipped weapons to not get targeted by enemies. Merlinus died because yay. C15: 8/50 +8 Eliwood went all the way through the mountains directly to the boss. Lyn and company lured the enemies in the middle to make them not topple with Eliwood's way, although I think this was unnecessary but still. Eli reached the boss and orko him with rapier. So stronk. Merlinus death count: 2 C16: 11/61 +inf Fuck. Screw the rules. Had to use Marcus because eliwood solo is literally impossible. Raven dies to the loldiers and there are my mum number of archers. Marcus cleared the left room so Matthew went for the Hero Crest whoo! Then he javelin'd almost every archer while Eli followed him closely. Then after reaching the hammer dude he ferried Eli all the way to the throne room and dropped him on the PILLAR. The pillar cracked and wrecked Bernard as everyone listened to his increasing groans of discomfort. Priscilla got Raven and Raven got Lucius. Lucius killed the only two javelin knights he can ever kill in this chapter. All the greens survived. Lol, +infinite turns. Merlinus death count: 3 C16x: 5/66 +inf Raven used the Goddess Icon and went to the forest tile, Eli went left through the southern path, Lucius got Canas. Eliwood used the last 2 uses of rapier and orko Damian and company. Raven countered everything and dodged the mages and the archer. Raven killed the leftest pirate so Luicus entered the spot and chipped the archer, Eli killed the shaman while going up. Lucius dodged all the pirates and killed them in retaliation. Raven barely died because he ate Elfire. By next turn Raven orko the mage with Steel Sword by rigging a dodge, and then Lucius ended the archer's life. Eli then went to Fargus while monk and assassin self improved. Their levels were ok at least. C17: 6/72 +inf Holy mother of God how many vulneraries do I need. Raven went east and ate a bunch of mercs while Eli and Lucius went south then left then south. Lucius got enough magic to orko shamans, and on top of that all of them target him because he's nearly dead. Pretty straight forward. Eli orko zoldam. Florina shopped swords and light tomes. Carmine Sword
Perhaps the Marcus penalty needs to be changed some more in later Sadistic Drafts. Although Eliwood solo is only really a problem in Chapter 16 if you've drafted Raven and/or Lucius since you can just let the soldiers kill Raven otherwise. I don't know, what are other people's thoughts on the subject?
Baldrick
I think it should be at least possible to recruit every character. One possibility is Marcus/Priscilla are free to be attacked, I don't know if the archers would still block you off in an Eliwood solo. A hacky solution would be to make Raven turn NPC during the soldier's event.
Gradivus.
Maybe +10 turns for using Marcus? eclipse
Blame Carmine for not posting the amended rules (skipping a required gaiden is +10 turns). I'd drop Quint's penalty to the ten-turn missed gaiden count for that oversight. Try using Lowen/Hector instead. You'll incur a +8, but I think it's doable. I'd allow Priscilla to be attacked and use Vulneraries without penalty, if at least one of Raven/Lucius was drafted. If the player has no units drafted by Chapter 16, then one undrafted Fighter of their choice may be used with a +2 penalty instead. That should help to alleviate the worst of it (and will also force Jerme's map, unless they drafted something like Pent/Lucius). Hell, Eliwood/Matthew was by the skin of my teeth (wound up rescuing the final soldier, half-dead, with Matthew. . .which meant that I missed all the treasure). Oh, right, actual logs. Chapter 15 - 10/55 I'm nearly out of Rapier uses, so I had to be really careful here. Eliwood worked his way up, while the Caelin gang routed everyone else and went shopping. Florina hung out over the lake. Chapter 16 - 14/69 Matthew had to rescue a soldier, so I missed all the treasure. Eliwood walked up and was stuck using a Steel Sword on the boss. Boss still died. Fortunately, Matthew and a Steel Sword were enough to ORKO some of the archers. If not, I would've grabbed Lowen and had him put in work. Chapter 16x - 5/74 Eliwood used SUPERIOR POSITIONING to get everyone's attention. Matthew killed some stuff up north, and got Canas and the Devil Axe. Maybe the latter will be useful? Chapter 17 - 6/80 Looted the ship as much as I could, then had Matthew jack the Speedwings, and counter with the Killing Edge for the win. He had two chances for a 27% crit. (sorry, forgot the pic) Chapter 18 - 8/88 YAY, DART! Was all set to go get the Torch staff, then remembered that I didn't need it. Instead, Matthew used his SUPERIOR VISION to help Eliwood towards Uhai, while Dart diddled around and got some experience while being a caravan guard. . . .so apparently Matthew is the THWOMP of this run. WTF is even going on? Edited April 30, 2016 by eclipse
Gradivus.
C22 4/99 turns Oswin killed Jasmine with a hand axe on turn 1 EP and a silver lance next turn. Eliwood got danced twice to enter Paul's range on turn 3 and killed him with 3x silver sword (he didn't double, so he did it from EP3 to EP4), while Pent killed everything in the SW corner and could've chipped in had Eliwood not been good enough. Hawkeye just killed a random mage on turn 3. Lol @ getting Genesis in this draft. C23 4/103 turns Gave Serra the Afa's drops. Zerosabers
Chapter 15, 9/62. Finally a sub 10 turn chapter! Man I suck at this game.Chapter 16, 20/82. Matthew was deployed so it would be possible to grab the Hero's Crest. Eliwood wasn't strong enough too solo because I didn't feel like rigging a bunch of misses so I let Guy catch up instead of sending Eliwood forward.Chapter 17, 5/87. I burned like 10k on random shit I probably won't end up using.Chapter 18, 10/97. Everyone suicided onto Eliwood and Guy grabbed another level. Dart snuck behind us so he wasn't attacked.Chapter 18x, 10/117. Guy is at level 18 now, so very close to that sweet crit.Chapter 19, 11/128. Lyn and Hector being force deployed was a pain. Thankfully promoted Guy can just crit everything. Killed the boss with an armorslayer crit. [spoiler=Eliwood] Usable/10, but Guy's definitely better now after those strength level ups. [spoiler=Guy] Pretty good, I wish he got FE6 Swordmaster gains and crit. Because that's fun. Blame Carmine for not posting the amended rules (skipping a required gaiden is +10 turns). 0-0 I forgot all about gaidens shit. +20 turns ;-;11/
Carmine Sword
Sorry, I forgot that I hadn't put that rule in the OP. I'll do that in just a moment. I'm also changing the penalty for using Marcus to 10 turns per chapter, since I failed to realize just how difficult it is to get to Raven/prevent Raven from killing all of the soldiers if you have no two-range. Quint may reduce his net penalties to 18 turns as a result of this rule change. Edited April 30, 2016 by Carmine Sword
Quintessence
I was just checking the other drafts and I ate a penalty by using Marcus. Whoever has Raven and/or Lucius needs an early unit or eat penalty turns.
Paradigm
I did not forget about this. Just had enough free time thankfully. Chapter 11 - 6/6 Eliwood attacks the bandit with Marcus’s Steel Sword and uses the Energy Ring on turn 2. He advances forward with Marcus and Lowen as meatshields and for enemy manipulation and gets speed in his level up so he can kill the boss with the Iron Sword. Bartre gets the Dragonshield and manages to get a level with spd killing any leftovers. Chapter 12 - 7/13 Eliwood and Bartre handled the bottom while Hector and Oswin handled the top. Bartre got the boss kill via the Hand Axe after Eliwood weakened Zagan with the Rapier. Marcus bought an Iron axe and two Iron Swords. Chapter 13 - 7/20 Eliwood went through the water with Matthew who was used to meatshield the mercenary while Bartre chopped trees and visited the village. Eliwood would then have a direct path to the boss but he needs to gain strength and defense and then dodge one of the soldiers for him to be able to have enough health against Boies after a Vulnerary use. 6 turns is possible as Eliwood does 7 damage each so he would be able to kill the boss with a crit and a hit by EP5 but Eliwood was more likely to avoid the 71% hit Steel Lance than land 2 61% hits with one of them being a 13% crit so I took another turn. This allowed Bartre to get the boss kill via Hand Axe and gain more speed. I was also able to still get Guy using Marcus as a meatshield as Matthew has just enough move to reach him by PP5. Lowen bought another Iron Sword and an Iron Axe. Chapter 13x - 7/27 Eliwood went for the village while Bartre fought around the middle. Bartre was not able to kill Puzon but he got the exp that he can get. Meatshields meatshielded after rescuing Merlinus.
eclipse
Chapter 18x - 8/96 Dart got a lot of self-improvement here. I would've needed to rig a Hand Axe at 26% to shave a turn. That is stupid. So I had Eliwood shank the boss instead (at a much more reliable 79%). Dart got one last level on one of the Snipers. Chapter 19 - 8/104 Can't do this in seven turns while keeping Hector and Lyn out of combat. Dart and Eliwood work forward while Matthew murders the asshat with the Longbow and opens the other wall. Dart then walks up to Darin and Hammers his smug mug in. Chapter 20 - 3/107 With a bit of positioning, was able to get the enemies away from Oleg, who then went down to Matthew and Dart. Chapter 21 - 3/110 Dart walks up to Eubans and redoes his face. Meanwhile, Eliwood recruited Heath and Lyn recruited Rath. I can sell the latter's inventory for fun and profit! Chapter 22 - 5/115 Pent did all the work for me. Dart killed off whichever asswipe has the Hand Axe. Eliwood kept Merlinus safe. Matthew only had time for one treasure - the Ocean Seal. However, Dart's got six move, so I might be able to pull off Kenneth's map anyway. Chapter 23 - 5/120 MVP: Florina Florina flew to the shop, bought some reavers, then started a crazy weapon trade chain that gave Dart a Swordreaver on turn 4. Dart ended his turn next to Lloyd, who didn't crit his face in. Eliwood had enough oomph to steal the kill, while Dart wandered off and murdered a ballista guy. Should've recruited Wallace, but was /lazy. Matthew used his enhanced vision to help me see what was coming. Chapter 24 - 11/133 Whee, Killer weapon sale~! Dart walked over the mountains, and went shopping. Got Vaida mad on the final turn. Also got Luna. Dart OP. Chapter 25 - 7/140 The EXTREMELY STUPID RNG strikes again! Had to do a lot of save states, to make sure that Ninian didn't die to the Bolting guy (with his mighty 78 displayed hit). Dart picked up Eliwood, and helped to get him through the snow. Matthew grabbed Ninian, and carted her to the castle. On the final turn, Dart invoked a Killer Axe crit on Kenneth, and Ninian danced Eliwood to the throne. Chapter 26 - 15/155 Dart ate the Boots, then murdered the map. Matthew and Eliwood escorted Nino to Jaffar. Ninian kept dancing. Got the gaiden because I absolutely need that Fell Contract! Paradigm
Chapter 14 - 8/35 I did not deploy Merlinus so the Javelin!Cavalier at the start would attack Eliwood. Bartre started at the top and killed the soldier gaining enough speed to double the cavaliers and most of the enemies this chapter. He continued to plow through the middle killing Erik with a Hand Axe and Steel Axe hit. Eliwood went to the bottom bridge to kill the cavaliers with an iron sword and moved towards the bottom to kill the pirates and the knight. He kept the Javelin!Cavalier chasing after him which he killed eventually and then went shopping for an Iron Axe since he could. Erk died but at least he killed a cavalier as an NPC. Chapter 15 – 6/41 Bartre carried Eliwood and dropped him on the farthest mountain. He needed to equip the Killing Edge in order to kill the enemies that would block him. Bartre cleared the way for Eliwood so he can kill Bauker with a Rapier crit and seize. Lyn’s group helped her get exp and went shopping for a lot of swords, axes, and door keys. Managed to grab the Heavy Spear in case Eliwood can find use for it later or for more money. Chapter 16 – 10/51 Used the Dragonshield on Lyn. Bartre and Eliwood plow forward with Bartre taking the lead at times so archers don’t block the way. Bartre ferried Eliwood at times so it does not take an extra turn. Bartre killed Bernard with two Hammer hits. Lyn escorts Matthew to the Hero Crest and one soldier managed to survive. Chapter 16x – 3/54 Promoted Bartre at Level 18. He always seems to have just barely enough speed which luckily was enough for this chapter. Bartre plowed through everything with help from Lyn and Eliwood. Managed to get the Devil Axe and Canas. Chapter 17 – 3/57 Bartre rushes to the boss after Lyn kills the shaman in the way. She has to dodge some things to survive but it’s doable. Eliwood handles the enemies on the right side. Deployed Florina to buy some more Hand Axes and for RNG manipulation. Chapter 18 – 5/62 Bartre broke snags with Lyn taking the front and Eliwood taking the rear killing anyone in the way. Lyn had to dodge several things but it was doable. Bartre had to rescue Lyn ahead to help with the boss kill. Bartre drops Lyn so Uhai has to counter with the Longbow. One Iron Axe hit and a Mani Katti crit secure the kill. Did not bother recruiting Fiora as it would probably cost turns. Chapter 18x – 6/68 Couldn’t get Bartre far enough with Eliwood to get the 5 turns because of the mages but wouldn’t matter since he cannot double the boss anyway so Eliwood helped with the boss kill. This allowed Bartre to kill one of the snipers for another level up before Eliwood seized. Chapter 19 – 5/73 Lyn led the front with her Mani Katti which I planned to use later so I convoyed it after she killed Cameron for the Longsword in the next weapon slot. Bartre handled the sniper so Hector doesn’t get attacked and Eliwood followed along clearing a knight and a nomad before Bartre ferried him to the throne. Lyn opened the door and Bartre dropped Eliwood 3 spaces from the throne. Bartre kills Darin with the Hammer then Eliwood seizes. [spoiler=Character Stats] He's doing pretty well at least. His Rapier is still pretty intact and he has enough strength to kill without it most of the time. I'm just glad that he at least has enough speed when it actually matters. Hopefully it stays that way... Apparently she's strength screwed and sturdier than Eliwood granted she used the Dragonshield and her HP is still horrible. At least she can crit-kill things and dodge when it matters.
Zerosabers
So I guess I'll just do a few chapters with RWBY's volume 3 sound track blaring through my headphones. And I finally get my 3rd unit! Chapter 20, 5/153 Walk forward the chapter, really no trouble here at all. I just walked forward and everything died. Chapter 21, 4/157 Same strategy, still no problems. Guy managed to snag a point of strength and Eliwood ate the Robe. Chapter 22, 6/163 Rout chapters suck. Thankfully Pent literally eats this map alive. Chapter 23, 4/167 Maybe it's red like roses! Guy's got one more strength and ate the boss with a crit. Chapter 24, 11/178 Note: Guy can't explode Vaida, I probably should've check before trying. Instead I waited it out. Gradivus.
You gave yourself a penalty too much in C14 since using NPC Erk is allowed for free, so you can subtract 4 from your TC.

Zerosabers
Well things irl went to shit for awhile, but I'm ready to finish this now. Chapter 25, 25/203 Rout chapters are dumb and I'm bad at Fire Emblem. Chapter 26, 15/218 At least Zephial didn't die to anything. Chapter 27, 18/236 (Used Vaida to get Ninian out of a bad spot) Rout again? Well at least Guy hit 20/20 last map. Chapter 28, 13/249 Nothing challening here, Pent crit the boss saving some time which was nice. Chapter 29, 11/260 Archers vs Pent. Spoiler alert, Pent stomps. Chapter 29x, Pent needed more books, that's about it. Chapter 30 15/275, Nils please stop getting one hit by seige weaponry. Finale pt 1. 10/285, Thank god for Athos. Finale pt 2. 6/291, I managed to kill the dragon, but I had to feed everyone to him except the main lords. Eliwood healed on my turn with an elixer while Lyn and hector stood awkwardly nearby. Gradivus.
Alright got myself around to continuing this, I'll be doing this with relative prostrattery but won't go lengths to optimize it. C26 15/137 turns C26x free/137 turns C27 10/147 turns Most enemies licked Oswin's Boots, Eliwood and Serra killed stragglers. C28 6/153 turns Rescue + warped Oswin into the middle on turn 1 and Nils on turn 2, made my way to the boss and used the power of rescuing to get the tile on turn 6. C29 11/164 turns C29x 5/169 turns C30 6/175 turns Meh, could probably have gotten it a turn faster but didn't want to rig survival on Nils so I sticked with this. Endgame 6+1/182 turns Could probably have done it faster with more crits but screw critrigging. Didn't have anyone to fully heal Athos (Serra's magic was too poor) in the 2nd part so he just got a Luna crit in one of his first 3 attacks with a ~33% chance. Oswin was godly, Eliwood was mostly mediocre but sufficient and Serra was a mistake. Athos was clutch for when he existed, as always. Edited September 3, 2016 by Gradivus. Carmine Sword
I feel that Serra's just a worse Pent in these drafts, since she doesn't really contribute in any way until she promotes, which isn't until 26x in most of the sadist playlogs so far. Also, it's your turn in the FE6 Sadist Gradivus so go do that.
Gradivus. Well, there's no way my Serra was anywhere near Pent's level. Her combat and staff range were awful, she 3HKOed at best, didn't double reliably and couldn't warp for more than 6 tiles come Endgame (which still saved some turns, but way less than a good staff user would). She was pretty close to her averages too, lol. Edited September 4, 2016 by Gradivus.
