I do not have the luxury of living up north.  And where I am it doesn't snow but holy frick is it cold AF...

I know the feeling. In my childhood I had a holiday in the Whitsundays. When it ended, it ended with a lengthy and painful drive home because every hotel/motel between Brisbane (not a real indication of where I live, as that's still a significant way north) and Rockhampton just coincidentally happened to be booked that night. I was wearing shorts when we set off early that morning. On the way home I needed to throw on tracksuit pants and a jumper, as well as a quilt. I felt like I had icicles dangling from my nose.
