But a single still shot doesn't do them justice- once we get some footage I'm sure they'll look a little more normal. Well the purple one is targetable and there is only one of them, while the reds are many (and smaller?). So red = peon, and purple = captain I think. At least here they'll probably leave (honestly summoners didn't bother me too much in HW). In Echoes, they just kept coming.

Rowan is the only character listed in the upper left corner of the screen. So whatever mode this is, you can only pick one character to use throughout. Huh. I think this is either the Premonition like the 3DS games have done or this is the event that kickstarts the whole plot in the Story Mode. Rowan is only level 1 in this screenshot, so this either early in the game or there's a mode that resets your level to one.

As a bonus, it turns the Cuccos against the enemies. Edited August 11, 2017 by Levant Mir Celestia

Hence why I always go out of my way to escort the Cucco Chicks to their mamas. I'd say the Cuccos fighting for territory is worse than that - were you unlucky enough to have the fighting Gold Cuccos spawn in a keep you happened to be in? Sucks to be you - now you got two flocks of angry Cuccos after you.

So do I, though the thing that sucks about fighting Cuccos is if they fight in a keep you need to capture either for an objective or for items. Also, the level where you got Ruto's level 3 weapon in the Wii U game has this happen thrice. The red are basic enemies, purple are tougher. Though considering how few of them there are compared to the hundreds of soldiers around in normal battles makes me wonder if monsters are going to be tougher than basic units. Stalchildren, Bokoblins, Bulblins, Miniblins, Hylians and Gorons were just as easily dispatched as one another. Hm... this looks like a "Rack up your KO Count" mission of some description from Adventure Mode in HW. Or, considering the map isn't covered in red, it's probably 'Kill X00 enemies in the time limit.' In Legends, these maps allowed two units. Then again, Legends almost never used four units at once. Basically in Story Mode and the Rewards maps.

Outside of Ganondorf keeping everyone alive after he takes their Triforces from them, and the fact that Link and Zelda brush off his appearance at the Temple of Souls, I don't think HW had any glaring plot issues. By no means good or anything other than something epic to make the action happen, but it's not something so bad you'd write essays about its atrocity. Just keep things constantly moving. Cut to the chase and emphasize action and fighting, and keep the actual periods of talking in peace to a minimum.
