Smellywood kills Ninian!? GOD DAMN IT YOU RUINED THE GAME FOR ME!!!!!! DX
AND THIS IS WHY WE USE SPOILER TAGS PEOPLE!!!

*clears throat*

I was kinda surprised as you were, until I found out how and why. But don't see the entire game as "spoiled" though. It's actually a common spoiler nowadays, but it may be a good idea to play through it all and see how it all unfolds.

Belongs in General.

I'd have to say

Eliwood killing Ninian

in FE7. That was heartbreaking.

It makes me cry every damn time.

Ninian was transformed, all she knew was that she loved Eli, Eli saw her, he was scared shitless, the Sword acted...

Ninian was dead...

I cried...and Im not afraid to admit it.

It's a game about war. There's death every second.

Well, there aren't any notable, dramatic deaths. The closest I've ever gotten to being sad was when I had to

kill kill kill kill kill

Pelleas, and even that was nothing. I just couldn't choose what to do.

1) The Jaffar and Nino support

When Jaffar was forced to run away from his family in order to protect them

2) The Ninian and Eliwood thing.

3) When Alvis owned Sigurd.

4) Zephiel deciding that humanity was beyond forgiveness because of being emotionally destroyed by his father.

5)

Hardain having to be killed because he was driven insane by Medeus

6) When

Brendan finally figured out what his wife was up to, only to be mercilessly slaughtered a few moments later

7) When

Lloyd or Linus end up sacrificing themselves because they cannot let go of their drive for revenge

Spoilers abound, naturally:

Orson is a particularly tragic character. Orson was led by the nose with the promise that his wife would be restored if he betrayed Renais, but instead he was driven mad by the sock-puppet creature that took her stead. If I've ever truly sympathized with any Fire Emblem character, it's Orson.

Fighting and killing Wolf, Zagarro, and Biraku in Book 2, then killing Hardain. Consider this through Roshe's eyes, and that's especially why the deaths are so tragic. Also, Lawrance's death and Est/Abel's endings are pretty sad.

FE3 is, in my opinion, the most depressing game. :(

I'd have to agree with you on that. It was particularly depressing to see

Lawrence, Misheil, and Hardain

die. They were among my favorite characters from the first book. :(

I thought

Misheil's

was pretty justified, since he was supposed to be dead in the first place, but it's still sad. Everything about the game was just depressing.

The backstory of the

Mamkutes

. FE3 just keeps making Marth look more and more evil. :(

Chiki's being forced to sleep for over 500 years because people wanted to use her for her powers.

Also with a combo of the following:

with this song:

(or: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmIJNzzapu4...eature=related), that can make things worst in a sad way. Edited by Snow_Storm

Per. I always pity Orson.

1. FE4:

Sigurd in Chapter 5. The guys just being separated from his son; lost his father, his sister, his brother-in-law, whom is also his last best friend, all in one chapter. Later he meets with his wife who just don’t remember him anymore, and she was already married again to a friend he trust, whom later killed him after accused him as a traitor. The guy is a living tragedy.

2. FE4: When

the First Generation ended.

2. FE7: When

Eliwood killed Ninian.

3. FE7: When

I know Nergal is Ninian and Nils’ father.

4. FE4: When

Yuria said that her loving brother was no more.

5. FE5: When

Leaf found out that Dorias was dead.

Damn, I forgotten about that. He was one of the best NPC in the game!
