Just a few things that I wanted to get out of the way before taking a well-deserved sleep for the night:

1) As I mentioned in my actual introduction topic, I'm (almost) always open if people need to get in touch with me. So, don't be afraid to do so if you need to.

2) As for changing things, I fully intend to keep the fundamental ideas and structures that have been around the same. It's not as if I'm going to bring to bear every aspect that FESS had over here. As Jyosua said, there will inevitably be things that will need reworked, especially with the influx of "refugees" from FESS. As such, you may see some policies and things taking philosophies from FESS and you may not. SF will not become FESS 2.0. I guarantee it. I do, however, have some ideas already bouncing around my head for after I get acquainted with the nuances of SF.

3) As for my previous names (as someone asked before), for my duration of staff at FESS, I have mainly gone by my current user name, Lord Glenn. There may have been a stint where I changed it during a user name fad, but, for the most part, it's been this for a long time. I did previously go by Tactic Knight, Geno, Aurilius, Freya Crescent, and Red XIII (the last two being parts of fads), in case anyone is curious.

Calling us "refugees" is a bit silly, seeing as how we're cracking together a forum that's exactly what we're looking for. I'm here to pad the transition more than anything else, and I'm pretty sure that's the case for a number of the other "big names" posting here. Fire Emblem is a bit tired for a lot of us.

I don't see it so much as a problem. An influx of new members may create a problem in itself, but I'm sure the new staff members are capable of managing the new numbers. Enjoy it.

Glad I came early.

I think chaotic is a fine word to describe it. A huge influx of new members from the same forum will certainly cause a lot of hustle and bustle. And I can understand why anyone would think the whole mod thing is presumptuous (though in their defense, LG's a good guy and Musashi's a great mod who's also been a regular here for a while). But it's still yet to be seen whether this is a good thing or not for SF. Personally, I'm optimistic about it. :)

I think its cuz they're mods and admins at the other place, friends with Jyo and Vincent, and cuz we would have lots of other ppl here couldnt they just have another serenes mod/admin?

Most of those FESS members have not even joined yet. We don't have too many new active members. Who says they will join anytime soon? First everybody was convinced that six staff members was enough, and now, all of a sudden, we should have one more administrator and moderator? I call that a lot of bull.

I felt the same way. Not trying to seem hostile to the new ppl or anything but we already had over 60 ppl active a day and wist fox hanz vincent and jyo were able to handle it on their own. Fox2 has been shouting that theres already a bunch of FESS members here so if there were, then there cant be THAT many ppl joining to where we need a new mod/admin.

I have a few things to say, and like always it's full of hypocracy and bias, so don't take it too personally, I certainly mean no offense towards anyone that I may offend, but I'll just make a list of things I want to say.

1. While I'm open to the concept of new members, with new members comes new relationships, and arguments and such. So mods and admins should brace themselves for whatever lies ahead and should be more active now then they have been before, until at least things settle down somewhat.

2. I'm not sure how to feel about someone from another forum, who is immediatley appointed to adminhood. While I know he's experienced, a good friend of Vincent and Jyosua, and probably a good guy all considered, I can't help but feel like that there are people here that have been dedicated to the forest that may feel some offense that this guy comes from nowhere and gains the highest position possible. It isn't our fault that thier forum dried up. However, I also understand that most of the people from their original site would like someone they can relate to and know to be in a position of power, thus making them more comfortable with the site. So again, I'm not sure how to feel about this, so I'll trust Vincent and Jyosua to make the right descision as things progress.

3. While there are people coming from this new site that have been active members and have contributed a lot to their respective forum, they will probably have to regain their position of power and respect here. There a lot of people who don't visit that site that are from here. As is vice versa. So be prepared to get the noob treatment, and treat those who have been here ahead of you respect.

4. Since we will be getting new members, will we be deleting people from the site that are not active at all? People who joined for one day and never posted for the several months they have been a member? That would keep the site cleaner.

5. As for new mods/admins at all. Some people are against it, but I don't exactly see why. Regardless of who the new mod/admin are, whether they are new members from the old site, or members of this site, I don't see why anyone would object to them. If they are already added, they cannot possibly do any harm by being there. And if they do, they will be removed from that position in place of someone else. A new mod/admin cannot hurt anything. They can only help. So really, stop complaining when people appoint a new one.

6. Blacken. I don't really know you, and this is unrelated to the topic, but WTF is up with your sig? I mean, I'm open minded and stuff, but that's borderline soft porn. I think you need to get rid of that.

Hi, AceNoctali here.

Well, as some of you may know, I'm a transfer member from FESS like a lot of people there. Subscribing on this forum mainly because I'll continue my Fujimori Nuts FE4 Manga Translation Project releases announcements there instead of FESS (and keep in touch with Vincent there for corrections and suggestions on the translation), but, I'll participate a little bit there in my spare time with my studies in Japan, and my duties at my own Fire Emblem forum and at the Réseau Pixalgo.

You're acting as if we're small, but we have many active members, as well as quite a few less active members. However, I do not think that's reason enough to just appoint two new staff members.

I actually joined this place a long time ago...when it just started, actually (and I still LOL at you, Jyosua, for asking me to join when I already did XD). It just...I haven't been in my Fire Emblem mood lately since Marth's remake doesn't exactly make me all pumped up for Fire Emblem. ~_~;; (I think I'll just go ahead and beat FE5 again...)

Onwards, I highly doubt there will be much change to SF, guys. A lot of the members on FESS are mainly going to the Ashtray to keep in touch with their FESS friends as they all no longer have a strong drive for Fire Emblem. Therefore, only the members who are still into Fire Emblem (like me) will join in and love Fire Emblem alongside with you. After all, we are all brought here not because of each other but because of the passion we have for Fire Emblem as FE fans!

As for the new admins...you guys have to keep in mind that these guys are FRIENDLY (THEY DON'T BITE) and only wish to make the place better. That, and these guys have experience with a bigger community and have been long-time FE fans (maybe even longer than you)...so it's a good thing they wish to help out this community! I KNOW they won't abuse their powers so please don't take it as an offense. Trust Jyosua and Vincent...I KNOW they KNOW what they're doing with best intentions.

That being said, since I was in FESS only for Fire Emblem and not the members (hence, I've no attachment to Ashtray), I'll reside here and lurk another while...until Jyosua kicks me to do something because I'm pretty lazy, too. (But, yeah, life's getting busy. What can I say?)
