You have a job? But you’re only 17!

...Isn't 17 pretty normal for having a job? Almost everyone I know has a job.

I think I was a bit slow to get one, actually, since I got it at the end of Grade 10, whereas most people start at the end of Gr. 9.

In today's society? Maybe, but being normal doesn't mean good...

Still, took for me until this year to get a lasting job... at least, for now I enjoy it and get decent pay out of it.

ere's hoping you manage to complete it in time. Sparks of Hope is a long game

Is it?

From the looks of it it's a 40 hour game (at 26% 10 hours in), not exactly what i would call long.

I like how experimental they were with this one turning it from a strategy RPG to a Metroidvania. Samus was a pretty good lord on par with Ike in my opinion. Solid A tier.

This gives me a forum game/thread idea: Rate your last non-FE game (or fav.) as a FE game XD

So about that actually. Right-winger s do this funny thing where they vibe with Nazi ideology and whatnot but don't you dare call them Nazis.

Like a little bit ago when Kayne went off the deep deep end and started saying Nazis were cool, a lot of the right-wing podcasters were like "woah woah woah, hang on there". Like even Alex Jones had to visibly disagree with Kayne's takes.

Tl;Dr right-wingers like Nazi ideology and other shit so long as it's not actually called Nazi. That's why "everyone I don't like is a Nazi" is their favorite buzz counter or however you want to call it.

It's not long but there is side content with additional Sparks, cool maps, and generally just more chances for you to level up.

I recommend doing them until you unlock/upgrade all the skills you want (ideally this is about when you reach the Barendale).

Listen here. I can't help but notice you have placed the game below Conquest. Clearly, this means Samus, who is on par with Ike, is not as cool as the protagonist of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, King Garon. Meaning your opinion is obviously that Garon is the superior character to Ike.

I can only agree, and I welcome you not to rebel against my assessment of the situation, for rebellions are like seeds, and this here shaker might just wrathfully rain salt down upon you should you defy the Cult of Garon. Consider this your one and only warning.

I forgot where I was going with this. Have a t-posing Garon.

It's no secret that I'm a 17 year old who works as a caterer for weddings and such which when I tell people that fact they freak out because I'm so young for such a high paying job but in reality it's terrible because I know that my job life is going to be all downhill from here.

That honestly sounds great, I'd follow.

It's this kind of take that confirms the person saying it doesn't understand basic political theory and just likes using buzzwords.

Zero Mission being such a major change in tone an direction certainly explains why thhe series has come to be appreciated even for the fewer releases in this last decade. This being the first female lord running solo combined with her origins certainly made her stand out at the time, though some I could see being bothered by her becoming the main protagonist and inextricably tied to the series nowadays.

The new main villain was sick though, highly recommend you get to the latest title in the series.

I'll do it with a PS2 game if I manage to get it running tomorrow.

(The idea of pretending I'm playing Berwick while on the right console but definitely not the right game amuses me)

Raven Beak, is that you?

Spoiler

I mean, the final transformation was a great callback to the strategic and metroidvania eras of the series. The strategic moving around phases of the fight combined with all the ranged attacks you had to account for made a good final map and the lore it added to the mythical race of the setting helped explain a few thing about their place in all this, while leaving a new frontier for the future of the series.

Today in Armagon's opinions, Reggaeton is like the worst music genre out there and it's such a shame it's arguably the most popular music genre among Latinos.

Did a little local Christmas light seeing, then enjoyed a nice Xmas Eve dinner of appetizers and a round of brie with fig preserves wrapped in puff pastry, followed by cake. Nice.🙂

Although, I can't help but feel like I "wasted" the holiday season. I've noticed it for the past few years, it doesn't feel like I got into the spirit enough or watched enough Xmas movies (not like I'd go for any of the awful Hallmark ones, or the stop-motion classics, or a few other films). And I kinda regret it now that it's about to be over.

Please mention these kind of pains to your doctor when next you see them, and perhaps try to improve your diet, and reduce stress. Not to be too pushy, but I care about you, and I don't want you to drop dead at such a young age of a heart attack like another friend of mine.

You're not being pushy, and thanks.😃

I'd say that I have relatively good self-control when it comes to eating. It's a lack of exercise and just a generally not-healthy diet. It can't be stress that's to blame, since I have basically nothing stressful in my life, thank goodness.

You aren't thinking creatively enough there, some Eggnog with Peppermint Schnapps added in is a far more festive way to add Holiday Cheer!

Or wassail. Or mulled wine, the gluhwein of Germany I'm told is particularly well-known -I saw one comment on YouTube say it's more sugar than wine (the result of sugar counting as a spice in Medieval Europe). Ice wine would be another option, considering you don't harvest the grapes until the first frost of the later months of the year have befallen the grapes.

There are plenty of wintry/Christmasy libations to go around.

What a waste to have to put in that effort.

I did hear of a winemaker whose inventory one shattered all over the floor. Being wine, he was able was reportedly able to salvage some of his losses by distilling the wine into brandy.

Well, just had dinner with my parents. We ate a French Christmas dessert, a bûche, which is basically a soft chocolate cake shaped like a log. It's funny and delicious, certainly lifted my spirits.

*Checks name* Ah, what in less less-fancy English is referred to as a "Yule log" -the kind you eat, not the ones that are wood you throw in a fireplace.

I've never had one, though they do look quite festive in a bakery. Wouldn't mind picking one up, were it not for being a little pricey, and while making one at home shouldn't be too difficult... the homeyness wouldn't quite compensate for the lack of aesthetics.

Status report: I got an enemy capital with no warmonger penalties, so that's nice. Rome ate Austria and then declared against me. Not much of a surprise, since I denounced them for brownie points with every other civ, and my standing army consisted of two warriors, a comp.bow, and one crossbow. However, I've been significantly ahead in tech, so I ended up slamming Great War Infantry into their trebuchets and pikes. England then jumped on them and eventually, they just gave me Vienna in a peace deal. It's still my weakest city despite not losing half its pop from being sieged down (size 10 vs. size ~20 for all my expands and 28 or 29 for my cap), but it's still a decent city, with a fair amount of river tiles that neither Austria nor Rome ever farmed up...

So Vienna passed through three empires. It sounds... funnily realistic for a city in general. Not Vienna specifically, but just thinking how some border territories that historically saw themselves suddenly change their allegiances time and again due to events beyond their control.

Aye... I do think working's not bad (Like, it is just a part-time job as a cashier), but some people work a ton through the school year.

Everybody goes at their own pace! It's not like this'll be my career or anything like that, so I can't exactly say I've found my lot in life.

How so? No need to take a pessimistic outlook on life, especially when you're so young. It's a really big world, and from the perspective we have as youths, it can be easy to hyperfixate on the decidedly small part of the world we live in, and you never know where life will ultimately take you. One of my friends ended up in Kyrgzstan for six months, for example!
