What would I of all people put in a “logo” for myself...

I actually decided to try to play Pokemon Ultra Sun for the first time in a long while.

Hey that’s the one with Rowlet in it!

2. I realise I am not going to find an Own Tempo Rockruff over GTS, so I might ask around about it and some others.

Make it an A+ symbol! If the teacher asks you why you're flexing, tell her it's for blood type.

O+ isn’t exactly the highest grade I can think of.

Even more literally as I picked that as my starter (An aside, I couldn't not compare Decidueye to a certain archer..... especially considering the experience I had facing it in Moon in the champion battle.)

An app for smart phones, on IOS at least.

It let’s you add in Pokémon 😉

Well, it might be trickier when I'm actually playing on cart.....

But apparently not. And it's available on Android too, so that's not a problem.

I'd like to not be hacking it in when it's actually possible to get legit.

Own Tempo? That’s not possible to get unless someone has a not hacked one they’d be willing to trade.

I know, but it can be bred down so I'd assume it's not as uncommon as you'd expect if it was really event only.

I'll worry about asking later on, I might as well assess the other gaps I have first (No, 17 Vivilions does not count.)

I have made a discovery: Sadly, the Berwick devs thought of using capturing to try to sneak the Pulverizer out of 9-1, so they made captured units get rescued when you seize the fort, bringing them back into your army and thus putting them through the inventory check. I don't know if the inventory check would hit normally on units who aren't considered a part of your army, but I get the feeling that the rescue condition was added for that purpose.

Lacking a male lead was an interesting choice, Lao comes quite close but isn't.

I'm thinking about how it would've been so easy to have that unnamed hero be actually present and they could've easily made him a love interest for Elma and they chose not to. Interesting indeed.

Torna is sadly very short. And the way you blazed through 2, Torna will be done in like, a day or two for you! Xd

I mean, there's still quite a bit to do in Torna.

Yep.

Well, quests are going to be what most of your playtime comes from, especially since community level 4 is a requirement to complete the game.

But as far as combat goes, it is very short compared to 2, mostly thanks to Jin being a bit gamebreaking, haha. Oh and of course talent arts being added for more flexible comboes.

Hopefully not as hard to get as in main game...

Community is much easier to handle than in normal 2. community isn't simply complete a quest, gain 1 community, community is how many people you have brought together.

You can get more than 1 in a quest, so it's not all bad, really. But you are still required to do quite a few quests, sorry.

Oh... Well, that's a shame. What about units that die? Do you get the pulverizer from the gravekeeper? My guess would be no, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Aslong as the quests are fun i don't mind.

By fun i mean not anything like XB1 quests or half of those in 2 xD

Well, that's purely taste, but imo, the characterization they have in them makes them really fun. Simply learing their interests and feelings intruiges me.

And, they are much better than regular 2's as well.

On the flip side, most of them are really easy, and i know that doesn't sit well with some people.

Tried that first, the pulverizer just disappeared. My hypothesis based on the thing I said above is that captured stop being considered a part of your army while in the Empire's grasp, and that would probably dodge the item check. The only to test that for certain, though, would be to hack the game and get rid of 9-1's rescue condition.

This looks awesome, a damn shame they decided to make this an Apple Arcade exclusive.

As long as you just do the quests as you go, it's fine. Community Level only becomes an issue if you try to grind it up at the last second.

What I like to do is do every quest in an area before moving on to the next one. And there's only two areas in Torna.

7 minutes ago, lightcosmo said:

No, that is how it usually goes. Sometimes you'll get more than 1 community point, sometimes you'll get a community point for free, but generally, you'll get at least one after completing a quest.

The quests in Torna tend to have decent character interaction between the party. Some NPCs you helped out before will appear in other sidequests and if you do them all, there's a final sidequest where a ton of people you helped out will pitch in for one final group project.

I compare it a lot to Xenoblade X's sidequest content, although Xenoblade X is still superior in that regard.

Torna is an easy game in general. Only thing that's actually kind of difficult are the Superbosses because the weakest one is Lv.65 and there are no regular enemies past Lv.60.

Really? I remember there being a bunch of quests that give 2+ people.

I guess? I had no issues at all, and i consider myself a fairly casual player.

Spoiler

Of course anything can change, especially endgame as it can make or break a game, so take this with a grain of salt xD

I like how they were this thorough in keeping the 10% hit axe in 9-1, but then they missed the really easy to perform exploit that allows Burroughs to shoot after moving.

At least I think it's easy, because I never bothered to learn it. The guy's main contributions don't require that he moves.

Yeah, for the better, alot can change in the late game xD

That, and after i finish i will write my Wall-o-Text of thoughts, so... xD

Nice! Look forward to it... i hope? I mean, i hope you have some good things to say, as it's one of my favorite games, obviously!

Another thing that makes Torna feel short: You can get items that raise your movement speed on the field and such as well, making travel a breeze in comparison. Maybe that's just me...
