Man, I hate winter nights.

I am so fucking comfortable, going to work is twice as hard as it is during summer. I already overslept once since I brought out the heavier covers...

No plans made yet, not helped by Raffin and Sasha being main units in this party who die to 80% of this map and me not using Zeig like a stubborn asshole, much less that I actually don't have a full party if I didn't field Zeig or one of the other instantly benched squad.

Good luck. Show the beardman what for.

I think it's because in media res is usually really not used that well? There's one example i can think of that i actually like, and that's because it was plot twisted to not be in media res in the end

The main problem with In Medias Res is that a lot of writers just use it as a really long flashback. Nothing is really done with it.

Now tbf, so many writers fall into this pitfall that it doesn't matter that much. It's just "oh ok, why do this tho?"

But the problem with Persona 5 is that every time a new development happens, it cuts forward to after the In Medias Res point so the story can tell us exactly what just happened. Of course, this is is a bit later into the beginning of the game, at the start, it's just the casino -> flashback standard deal.

I mean I do hear Edgerunners is legitimately good.

Yeah people have singing it high praises. Even my brother is impressed.

Might give it a watch sometime

Tbf it's already good by making reddit & twitter REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE over "loli". So fun to read the meltdowns

Although it sounds like Sacred Stones is the right difficulty to ease you into the older classic mode. It sounds like you had that satisfying ironman experience where there were key casualties, but never enough to send you into a death spiral...

I mostly decided to go for that because I was pretty confident in my abilities to beat the game even if I lost some people. Since I want to go in blind for most of these titles It's probably going to be a situation where I'll decide halfway in whether or not an ironman playthrough is on the cards for me.

Unless it's like Thracia where apparently blind playthroughs are not a fun experience.

I imagine for most games it's going to be a half-Ironman where I wont restart for every character but I will restart for some if I can.

Amelia bad...but kinda funny bad...

I'm in it for the long haul at this point, she's going with me for the rest of this game no matter how horrible.

To be fair she has been preforming somewhat well, it's just against monsters who have really low speed.

Thracia blind ironman is not something you want to do.

Radiant Dawn ironman just in general is probably like the one game you never want to ironman.

It's ok, I do this too.

I also train up Sophia in Binding Blade.

See: Leonie in TRS.

TRS is a funny game in that some units with lower growths still end up breaking the game in one way or another. Unless you're like me and Sasha won't get 8 mastery.

Leonie is funny because she gets the multihit skill.

Do you folks ever take a random fictional character and think about how they would be as a Fire Emblem unit?

Sometimes. Sometimes the other way around. Sometimes without FE being in the equation.

At this point, there’s too many past Trails references to post them and be hyped about, so just know that this game is good.

Also, hooray for Sharon backstory! Except not actually, because she fails to mention how she became “broken” or what exactly led to her winding up with her new family, even though they busted out the tan backstory CGs and everything. It’s like she was setting herself up to be the next Joshua, but then just didn’t care enough to go into any detail. Joshua still best, it seems.

CS3 Spoilers

Spoiler

And now the game is also showing us the returning villains for this chapter ahead of time for… no real reason. Welcome back to McBurn and Vita. Is it just me or is she kinda hot in this game?

And to the surprise of absolutely no one, Crow is still alive. Coppe seems to like him, so that means he’s the best character now.
