Part of me wants to break my 2 summons per banner on either Celica's or the lady mages' banner. I'm getting really desperate for a different red mage and we're going to get 20 orbs after the gauntlet ends. The major risk other than not getting a red orb or a red mage, is that I end up getting the other focus characters e.g. a third Linde would not be helpful at all. At the same time, two weeks later, who will be in the new character banner and who will be in the new character banner after that? Would there be quests that give a red mage like Henry who is probably the only red mage other than Raigh they would hand out? Henry, especially Henry, Lilina, and Tharja refusing to show up in normal summons has made me very doubtful they'd show up if I summon again.

No, I meant that Clair's defensive stats are Subaki's but flipped; Subaki has high defense and all right resistance while Clair has high resistance and all right defense. So, I'm not going to make Clair into Subaki unless giving her a Sapphire Lance somehow turns her into Subaki... Clair's stat spread is similar to Sully as well which Titania's is also similar, so I figure that making Clair a red check, especially to red mages might be useful. I don't know, Swordbreaker deal with physical reds and Sapphire Lance or T-Adept would make red mages even less threatening. Subaki's been wonderful to me, so he's staying, but if I were to work on Clair which might involve sacrificing 2 units with fantastic skills, would it be a bad idea to make her into a red check? Maybe my wording was a bit weird. But Virion is the archest of archers, he deserves the best and Setsuna... er... she's fun? :p Yeah, I decided to keep him since I've never had a Brave Bow user, so it might be useful to get used to how one actually works on my own and what I like and don't like doing with them. Virion would only be missing Death Blow 3 and he can basically be a decent, physically bulkier Klein. Apparently, having 2 less speed than Klein makes Virion slightly worse than Virion in overall results. Default sets, though, Gordin has the advantage through Attack +3, but if assuming neutral stats and without any skills, the better regular Brave Bow users of the 3 from what I remember looking into is Klein, Virion, and then Gordin. Virion's 6 more speed over Gordin matters, but since the Gordin I pulled is +Spd, -Def, they're kind of similar... so... yeah. I don't have the skills necessary or the boon/bane for Setsuna to properly build a Brave Bow Setsuna. Life & Death is 5*-only and I don't want to kill off my only Jaffar, I'd have to promote a 4* Gordin or even an eventual Klein to get Brave Bow+ and 3* Shanna for Desperation, and it would be idea if I had a +Atk or +Spd Setsuna rather than the opposite. The only skill I have for her is Luna.

Kagero, why did you have to be -HP? I could use her to take out Boey after baiting him and Genny on 11-5, but she has to attack Genny first or else she dies since Genny does 17 HP to her when Boey leaves her at 14 HP. Great... Maybe I should grind up for Vantage. The hilarity is that I think Kagero can one-shot Celica, Genny, and Mae if they're not on the defensive tiles. Otherwise, Sophia is a much, much safer option. Here's hoping 3* +1 merge Sophia doesn't cause Mae to move in a weird way. I will equip a Ruby Sword on Olivia as a giant hit me sign for her if I have to.

Hey! I have no red mages other than average Raigh and slow as sin Sophia and it's infuriating. Celica and Sanaki not gracing me with their presence sucks. I can't laugh with Henry, can't complain about Lilina's squeakiness, and I can't even be corrupted by Tharja. So, this is just me venting out frustration as Genny had to get lost showing up in my army and having no red orbs for 2 summons. >:( Got fed up with -Atk Sophia being 1 damage off from killing stuff that I just merged her with neutral quest Sophia. Here's hoping her extra stat in attack and HP doesn't screw with Mkv's strategy for 11-5. Edit: Not sure how well Genny knows Alm's party, but Clair and Lukas are there as familiar faces, so she'll be fine. Otherwise, Lissa, Sharena, and others will be nice to her.

Oh! Genny was drawn by Amagaitaro, the same artist who drew Catria, Clarine, and Nino. Knew something was familiar with her art... All of them look rather... young. I want to admit myself to prison now.

I am... a very desperate man in need of a red mage. Speaking of Odin, I don't know how lucky or unlucky I am, but all the Odins I've summoned, 3 of them, were +Spd, -Res.

I'd love it if I could get a Henry since I like him as a character and at least he's not as bad as Odin in the attack department, but despite him being a 3* to 4* summon, I've never summoned him except for the few times during re-rolls for Selena. Tharja appeared like twice. Meanwhile, Lyn appearing ~5 times in a row for 5 different re-rolls. Yes, I threw her away because I wanted a tsundere. Never said I made good life decisions. Game, just give me not a -Atk Henry, Lilina, or Tharja if Celica, Leo, and Sanaki are too much to ask. And then there's the fact I have 184 units... I need to start purging them...

Would it be a bad idea to build Clair as a Titania, but minus Guard? Or, well, a high resistance, average defense Subaki? Got one with -Atk, not entirely happy considering -Atk on her reminds me of the miserable days with -Atk Subaki who has 1 attack less than her. She has a Silver Lance, but Sapphire Lance might work better. Unfortunately, that would require that I sacrifice either a Subaki or Sully and both have great skill sets. Basically, have her anti-red where her attack and defense are patched up by Sapphire Lance and her resistance becomes even better against red dragons and mages. The only problems I see with this is the lack of Guard and that reds tend to have higher attack compared to the other colors. If I do this, I'm probably just going to limit her to arena bonus and singleplayer maps. Also, coin-flip thing: I finally have a Gordin, but +Spd, -Def ruins his selling point and makes him a slower, slightly bulkier Virion. I like using new units and keeping one of each on hand, but I'm running out of space, so I might just use him to give Brave Bow to either Setsuna or Virion which would make Gordin the only unit I've immediately dumped. Opinions?

I need a red mage who is not Raigh or Sophia. 3 red mage focii between 2 banners and yet no red mages at all in 4 summons. Are you kidding me, game!? There is only so far that Raigh and Sophia can go. Titania being made 4* summonable, though, but apparently Guard 3 is 5*. Meh. Can't build a freaking bulky team of anti-specials easily.

How so? If he's getting overshadowed by someone, it's Raven who is faster and stronger making Raven a better Brave Axe user. Arthur's attack and speed are slightly slower than Barst... Just saw your new post. Are we talking about default sets? If so, then, yeah, Barst is overshadowed by Arthur and Raven.

I just got rid of a spare Barst and Felicia to give Frederick and Gaius new weapons and merged a special map Hana with the other 2* one to get more SP for her Brave build... Ugh... Come on, man, I was just getting rid of units and I just got down to 174 and 3 are coming back. And then there's Draug. That's it, Zephiel is getting Spur Def 2 and Ward Armor from spare 4* Draug. Oh yeah, that was disappointing. Arthur has a heroic attack art and then Odin's like normal, un-Odin Dark-like magic spell casting. If his special art was different, then sure, but nope. At least Odin has the best special lines. That's something. He has personality...

Arthur (Code Name: STEAM, superhero), Hector, Lon'qu, Olivia, Raven (very stylized); Rebecca (shojo manga), and Gunter, Jagen, Ogma, and Zephiel (old school anime/manga), and Wrys (old school anime/manga, different artist than Gunter and friends'). Also, Niles's art was done by a yaoi artist, right? Lloyd I'm just going to call Persona 3-like. For me, 90% is "Fire Emblem-styled" and "contemporary anime" whether that's kind of more "realistic" like Celicia, Cherche, Titania, and Virion's art to something like Linde, Mae, both Robins, and Christmas Tharja's cutesy or simple-look -- Christmas Tharja looks so huggable. The rest are kind of whatever and I like that since it's like Fire Emblem has reached to all sorts of people, so having different styles of art just adds to that. I really want something like a German artist specializing in noir drawing one of the characters or someone like Tetsuya Nomura and Yoji Shinkawa somehow being commissioned to draw someone -- never going to happen, but one can hope. An impressionist style for someone would be cool too. It'll be weird, it'll be "out of place", but to me, there's something wonderfully special about it. Hmm... I wonder who should receive the Jojo treatment.

*gasp* How dare you! Justice deserves the look of a cheesy superhero art style! Also, Arthur's was done in a style similar to Code Name: STEAM which Intelligent Systems developed and that featured superhero-esque characters as far as I know. I'm not seeing the whole Heroes Ursula is deranged part other than maybe her attack art where she looks like a very happy sadist. Otherwise, Ursula looks like Ursula to me. Dialogue-wise, it's been a while since I played Blazing Sword, so I can't comment on that. As for Lloyd, heh.

Ike has the Regal Sword while Lloyd has the Regal Blade. I had to look it up since I swear Ike didn't have a Regal Blade when I checked on Lloyd's sword a while back. He's probably going to be up this morning since GHB heroes are introduced with a week between them and Xander's was 2 weeks ago.
