  1. Uooooohhh! Everyone, let's do our best in this run!
  2. GUREATO DA ZE: Oboro Good: Setsuna, Lucius Meh: Jaffar, Silas, Rebecca, Ursula, Raven Arse: Sakura, Jakob, Sumeragi SUPER ASS: Shinonome Is how I'd rate them! Overall, I think your pulls were alright, though they could always be better.
  3. Is the card the same name as another card you control? Then you can't deploy it. Is the card the same name as the supported card? Then it's a fail. Is the card the same name as the battling card? Then you can use it to Critical Hit or Godspeed Evasion! Basically, treat the Cost 1 Lucina(s) as if they were Marths, except they're also named Lucina. (This is how you can get a theoretical stack of 56 for Marth, which means Modest Flower, Rebecca's Support is 560.
  4. Archetype, eh... I'd say Navarre archetype. Anyone choosing this option knows what is up. Great hat, smug nature, need I say more?
  5. Of course it's gonna be more Falchion cards. I mean, how else would Falchion keep itself fully upright?
  6. >posting a topic on favourite myrmidons >not always joshua heresy joshua a best
  7. Oh my goodness, oh my damn. Oh my goodness, IT'S RED SUPPORT YES. ... what, you didn't think it'd be more Falchion support? Where else would they put another Camus clone, the three peg sisters, and another Falchion in?
  8. everything about this is art But no, yeah, I personally enjoy Blade Princess of Astra, Ayra, for having strange, yet potent, skills. Guardian of Hope, Sothe[/s], too, for having a Bane that instantly kills cards, which I will never understand.
  9. Not so! She can tap herself for the cost. Of course, you can't do that if you attack with her, but are you really going to attack with a flier that doesn't even have 60 Attack.
  10. Answer 1: Possibly! I mean, this isn't quite the first time we had "alternative" cards to things. We've had Healing Hero, Wrys, and Vermillion Vortex, Minerva. You could also consider the new royals from Set 6 and 7 to be alternate forms, though it's really more of "post-Revelations". (Hence, why Corrin and Azura aren't really around.) Answer 2: Probably not. See: Jariu.
  11. quick question...s 1. why do you call Erin "Fury" 2. when do you ever have 2 fliers out at the same time
  12. Surprisingly, Penta lost for once, and apparently dropped their luck, too. SOME SHIT IS UP YO
  13. To be completely honest to you, I'm going to say that the starter trial decks are not ass, but SUPAH ASS. Filled with 10-Support, have horrible ratios, but I suppose they do have Starter-Exclusive cards. ... of which I can only think of the cost-4 Lord cards, because guess what, turn 3 promotions are a big thing. I'll say Hoshido, Falchion, and TMS. TMS teaches the importance of mixing different factions, as you now have access to another pool of good cards.
  14. You're gonna have a rough, rough time, buddy-o. The strongest/stronger decks out there are exactly the ones you think they are, and boy, are they not easy to make or play against. Female Corrin has Godly Child of the Final Light Flame, Corrin (Female), a card capable of flipping 2 Bonds and tapping itself to deploy any card cost 3 or below from your Retreat. That doesn't sound bad, but if the deployed card is Nohr (black), she may untap herself. A good few options exist for Female Corrin, Old Loyal Knight, Gunther being a notable one, since he has 70 ATK. Yes, you can attack twice for 70 even with an empty board, if you just so happen to have that promotion and Gunther at the same time. Marth isn't as powerful as he was before, with the advent of more viable on-field removal, but he still goes strong. Lambent Hero-King, Marth allows you to gain hand advantage if you play your cards right. If Divine Weapons cards (purple cards) are added into the deck, then Marth becomes exponentially better, given access to Pegasus Knight of Gales, Tate, "Extremely Skilled" Pegasus Rider, Farina, Knight of Lycia, Eliwood, and most importantly, Pious Mage, Nino. With Nino, it is entirely possible to loop her Cost 1 version over and over with Marth's "Leader of the Ragtag", acquiring a net gain of +1. Selkie, the third of the (original) trifecta that is top-tier decks, has Thread of Gold, Selkie, which gains attack every time anyone deploys anything. Yes, she gets stronger during your opponent's turn, and also during yours. "Masquerade" will also deploy even high-cost cards from the top of your deck, but they will die at the end of that turn. Talk about RDW. Oboro has the highest form of speed to exist in the game: Turn 1 Promotion. Sure, it's a pretty fat chance it'll happen, but it will happen to you at least once, and you will begin to hate Oboro all the more, much like we collectively hate SalShich10N. We don't even need to say anything else about the Oboro deck, because her other skill involves Bow cards, which is a stupidly easy resource to obtain, considering Hoshido has 3 Cost 1 Archers with Attack Emblem. (Archers with Attack Emblem are reaaaaally good. That's why they replaced it with Cover Emblem.) Elise and Lilina are nonstandard decks, since neither hit 70 base, but they excel in getting massive hand advantage, and then ruining your opponent's day soon after, bringing about powerful cards like Wellspring of Youth, Nowi and Manakete Princess, Tiki. Of course, Elise is no slouch when used in a Nohr deck. Sothe is actually not a high-tier deck by any real means, but nonetheless is a fun deck to play, utilizing Guardian of Hope, Sothe(+) to slow your opponent down to the same pace as you (a crawl). Think of it like a more aggressive Elise or Lilina, except not really, because his "Bane" doesn't generate hand advantage for you, per se, but instead limits the opponent's options by killing anything they deploy, and then using "Green Shadow of Protection" to ensure that the enemy won't have a good time. Aaand that's all I can recall, off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more good/strong MCs that I haven't covered, but others can pick up where I left off.
  15. yeah remove aussies etc etc The way I see it, right now, they want to make cards of characters people know/care about, but also cards that are also playable in the game as it is. We can see this in Kaze, Chilling Storm, which has the ability to increase the cost of all cards in your opponent's Retreat by 1. The only characters concerned with costs that target cards in your Retreat are Midoriko, Corrin Female, Briggid, and Lena. Corrin Female had been a threat to the metagame for quite some time, while Lena is an essential part of Marth, who had gotten stronger with the addition of Marth, Hero-King of Light. Notable also is that Kaze, Chilling Storm, is a HN card, and not R or SR. It should also be noted that we did not get very many good splashable cost-3 Nohr cards in that set, aside from Arete, Queen of Nohr, Beruka, The Deadly, and, a little ironically, Kaze, Chilling Storm, and of those three, only a few players, from my experience, use Arete, Queen of Nohr. They must have recognized that Female Corrin was now a force to be reckoned with, now that she had Corrin Female, Godly Child of the Final Light Flame, and to give her more powerful cards for her to deploy would be tantamount to killing the metagame. Thus, I am in agreement with Jariu.
  16. Wait a goddamn. That's another copy of that card in their art. CARD-CEPTION
  17. Wait wait wait, "shatter"? Instead of like, break? Interesting that you say "Field Cost" instead of "Deployment Cost" or just "Cost". The more striking thing is that you don't use Support, and Power is acceptable, since Gaiden used that.
  18. HOL ON A FUCK BOI Let's analyze what Blade of Light gets: 3-costs with good 1-bond effects when you deploiy a low-cost card An archer Marth A card capable of searching your deck, and is also a flier A manakete Crits You wanna give more support to the faction that happens to have one of the most busted cards in the game?
  19. Here's what's happening: You normally can't have more than 1 card of the same name on the field. Hence, you can't have a Lucina1 with any Marth. However, Anankos summons more of itself. Lots and lots of itself. However, you normally would never be able to have Anankos live for longer than, say, a turn. This can be circumvented with the help of Nohr Anankos, which allows itself to be leveled up on top of a Gunther or Garon, if you do not already control an Anankos. So, obviously, the next step is to have Garon as your Main Character, since he has a cost 1 card, unlike Gunther. Sadly, the next step involves waiting for six turns. You can get a full-stack Ike6 faster than that. On top of that, you'd need to then level up that Nohrian Anankos with Hoshidan Anankos, which would take yet another turn. By this time, your opponent is preparing itself for a gigantic push, and you will lose before that even happens.
  20. why else would he get a hero card That aside, I'm sure there's a good reason why Wrys is a zombie here. I don't recall, but I think it involves him dying, and by the way, he still has the same exact skill the original Wrys has- Vulnerary. Vulnerary (AUTO) [Tap this card (This means to place it sideways. Must be untapped for this to work), and destroy it.] When your opponent declares an attack on another ally, you may pay the cost for this skill: If you do, that ally gains 20 Attack for that battle only. Sadly, he lacks Miracle Emblem/Miracle Seal/whatever the hell chrom's calling it, which can be a literal godsend against crit-happy opponents.
  21. While Sephiroth's Scintillate doesn't quite have the power of Bartz's Knight HP Attack (that thing can BLOCK HP ATTACKS when mastered), I'd imagine Sephiroth to be quite the nuisance to be fighting against, especially when he's got such range on his side. ... that aside, what do you think the Emp's mechanics will be, this time around? Trapping opponents wasn't a very good mechanic in the last two games, that's for sure.
  22. Yeah nah, the Manakete/Dragon appropriation is fine, but... Iunno, Brand seems... iffy, to me. Maybe Crest would be better, but that also suffers from a future skill potentially sharing the same name. That aside, I'd say you'd be a good localizer, and I'd totes hire you to localize Cipher for the EOP masses. :V
  23. Huh? What's with the use of "Dragon Seal" and "Ancient Dragonkin"? I'm guessing it's character limitations, but I'd like to know.
  24. I'd be down for some. might wanna make sure you get the good skill names tho like ETERNAL COURSER
