  1. If Keen Wolf tomes get the same bonus as Zanbato+, then they're definitely going to keep Blade tome cavalry in check. For those unaware, Zanbato, Ridersbane, and presumably the Keen Wolf tomes can get the ability to ignore cavalry buffs. I would assume the upgraded Hammer, etc get the same boost against Armor. Has anyone seen a compiled list of boosts anywhere? I guess I can track down as much as possible
  2. It's probable that you're decreasing your Arena team's value, making you go up against people who might not be prepared to handle the rest of the team. Intentionally using a somewhat "weaker" set of skills, fewer merges, etc, can be a great way to get Defense wins by going against teams that aren't super prep'd for higher scoring threats. edit: Regarding the Alfonse quests, whatever. It's clearly designed to be the kind of content that people who haven't or don't want to invest in Alf can complete. Coulda used special Alfonse maps or something though.
  3. Unless I feel the need to check the game regularly (voting gauntlet, tempests, or some kind of event where I can make the most of my stamina), I'm probably only popping in daily for a little bit. I mostly spend my fun times with friends, acting, running/outdoors adventures, reading, and making goofy little cartoons. I'm huge into Zelda too, so I'll sometimes go back and play one with a challenge or something, like not grabbing any heart containers.
  4. Sounds to me like they simply goofed what they wanna call this upcoming update in today's notifications
  5. When do you guys finish up your masterseses? I wrapped mine up in March and was doing lab tech work and teaching at the college that I got mine at, and they paid for almost all of it. I'm pretty fortunate it's worked out for me and that I won't be affected, but it's infuriating to see these kinds of tax changes all the same.
  6. In terms of gameplay, it's whatever. As good as some of the characters/skills/weapons can be, I can win without them. In terms of characters, they're hit or miss fanservice (mostly miss for me). Some characters are gimmicky/shallow enough in their personalities as they are, so I'd rather them focus on improving that instead of just being like "DON'T YOU JUST LOVE ARBOR DAY" In terms of summoning/orb buying, it's an exploitative cash grab.
  7. They are indeed, so yeah exclusivity seems to be a major factor. You listed all the characters that are getting this specific upgrade, as well. If Sieglinde and Siegmund got the same boosts, I'd suspect most people would not bother pulling for Ephraim and simply upgrade Eirika if they felt they only needed one or the other. I presume that IS regularly looks over data of what weapons people are using on their characters, natively learned or inherited, and are making these initial adjustments to see how it shifts player choices (in Arena and summoning).
  8. The Refinery may help daggers out in ways we're not expecting. I'm not entirely optimistic about it, though, unless they add some very unique qualities and not a mere +stat.
  9. Bored at work, and noticed this thread was still going. Neat. Apparently I left off on #4 5) Fire 6) Jedi 7) Satou Kazuma (never heard of this series) 8) Deredere 9) Gryffindor 10) Chaotic Good Human Druid 11) Iron Man 12) Sayaka Miki (another series I know nothing about) 13) The Judgment (another series I know nothing about)
  10. I'm very curious to see how much diversity there is for these upgrades. Hmm... Steady Breath, Wo Dao, Quick Riposte Glimmer on a unit like Laslow with -spd, backed by a healer was the first thing that came to my mind, but I'll leave that sort of thinking to the heavy investors and mathletes.
  11. I noticed this too, I wonder if it's to imply that a unit is under the effect of spurs or something like that, since there's a Speed icon in there.
  12. Just for reference, here's the list of upgrades through the Refinery: Refinable Weapons: The following weapons can be "evolved": The following inheritable weapons don't appear to have any capacity for upgrade: All other exclusive weapons appear to be unchanged as well.
  13. Am I the only one who thinks Mia sounds like Ralph Wiggum?
  14. States that have enacted bills to automatically granting electoral votes to the popular vote winner have a total of 165 votes. There are 97 votes worth in states that are in the process of potentially creating such regulations, some of which are swing states or red states. All of this has occurred within the past 10 years, so I'm pretty optimistic that we could see the EC done away with before long.
  15. Mia, Lute, and Dorcas summoning banner starting tonight Joshua as Tempest Trials reward (implying Sacred Stones as Tempest theme) Heals and staves upgraded to have + versions available at 5 stars (ie: Fear+, Physic+, etc) Certain specials reduced cooldown by 1: area of effects (Rising Wind, etc), "sun" moves (Sol, etc), "star" moves (Astra, etc) Weapon Refinery allows you to enhance your weapons to get more stats and some skills (we'll learn more about the extent of this soon enough) Weapon Refinery also allows certain weapons to upgrade (Killing Edge+ to Slaying Edge, Tyrfing to Divine Tyrfing, and many more). Weapon Refinery uses unique materials and SP, and will become available after a new story chapter Upcoming banner with 5* Focus base at 8%, 5* non-focus at 0%. Contains a large number of units: Ike, Celica, Ayra, Hector, Spring Camilla, Dierdre, Brave Lyn, Bride Cordelia, Genny, Spring Xander, and Bride Caeda. New story stuff available right away; "Book II" where an Ice Kingdom and Fire Kingdom do battle. The Ice Kingdom Princess, Fjorm, joins you at 5* All story/paralogue missions require 10 stamin at max to do now 100 free barracks spaces for all, even those who hit the cap (max is now 1100) Another Choose Your Legends event of some kind hinted at in the future Feh has a nice stove
  16. One of the ways it can be overruled is by having individual states awarding their EC votes to the winner of the popular vote. If enough states do this, then the EC is rendered irrelevant due to those states having the majority of the vote. As it stands, only a handful of states and Washington DC are on board, which are largely blue.
  17. This is correct. The long term goal was/is to weaken US influence aboard, regardless of who won the election.
  18. I'm under the impression that the DNC is prepping Cory Booker, and people like him. I'd really like someone like Gavin Newsom, but I think he's running for governor of CA. Electoral College is definitely one of the major problems with US elections. Would be nice if we had preferential voting.
  19. Been doing this for a variety of units, especially since Arena Assault has occasionally had me in need of certain colors or roles. Pretty much any 3-4★ unit is worth doing this for, especially if I don't need them for SI urgently. Notable examples include: Cecilia +10, regular Gronnblade is enough Gunter +6, with Brave Axe+ thanks to the extra Camilla's I've acquired Sophia +5, raven tome with Triangle Adept and Bowbreaker Clarine +4, with Candlelight and Dazzling Staff Others include Arthur, Nino, Odin, Saizo, Laslow, Olivia, and Oboro. Really great for when you're up against yet another armor team, or you just need someone who has zero issues against a specific group of units (ie: Arthur vs all lance users).
  20. To me, this suggests you're open to trying new things. Not sure what kind of availability there is for such things in your area, but checking out museums or galleries of various kinds could be a good start. Bear in mind that in any legitimate museum or gallery, whatever is on display was no doubt created or discovered by someone with strong curiosities of their own, and the same can be said of any earnest museum/gallery-goer. Also keep note that your approach shouldn't be to force interaction with others, but to go for your own sake and soak in your surroundings. There are many other people out there just as lonely as you, and just as curious to discover people, art, etc. If you find genuine interest in something there, then you're most likely to have a meaningful connection with someone else having a similar experience.
  21. Sparring Mode, where you can go up against your friends' defensive teams freely. To expand on it, add things like giving feedback (in fixed predetermined messages), or play AS your friends against your own team. This would help people figure out their defensive teams and see what their friends are up to. Bottle up Stamina when you're at 99/99. This would be pretty nice on days when you can't or don't feel like playing, and save that stamina for the weekends, Tempests, etc. BGM player I guess
  22. A few thoughts on this... It's always a good thing to admit that things are troubling you. Feeling and admitting you are unhappy is not a sign of weakness, nor should you blame yourself for it (though you do have the power to do something about it, even if you don't realize it). Workplaces are pretty consistently terrible places to make friends, so again, this is something that is normal and not your fault. Co-workers are going to suck everywhere. If you do have problems with them, however, it's important to speak up about it, or else it'll likely never change. Making and maintaining friendships after school/college is extremely difficult. In school, you're at least surrounded by people your own age, but as a working adult, you don't have as much time. This is also something that's largely universal and not your fault, most people are dealing with this. Having a venue to meet new people is an amazing thing. What are you into other than games? I personally enjoy art, music, and acting, so galleries, bars with live acoustic music, and theaters are great for me, and I meet a lot of great people with similar tastes. It's totally fine and healthy that your family members are the closest people to you. Some people have shit relationships with their families and suffer for it. People like Tom Hanks because he's created a lot of heartwarming stuff over the years and is, from what I've heard, a super nice person in real life. His situation is unique, partly because there are a LOT of terrible people in show business (or really anywhere with concentrated money and power), but also because the most sincere celebrities don't really care about the fame. They love their families, friends, and work. The fame and money are just a means to bring good things into the world. Therapy is good. Honestly, most people should experience therapy at some point in their lives. Bear in mind, however, that none of us here are therapists, and if we were, we wouldn't be able to help you without actually being in the same room as you. Inform your family that medication is not required to deal with problems you might be having, and even if offered, you can simply refuse them.
  23. @SullyMcGully Maturity is one thing, but it's really a matter of life experience. Teenagers, often moreso if they were homeschooled, lack life experience. Conversely, a guy in his 30's will certainly have a good amount (a person's mid-20's tend to include a major shift in their identity due to their experiences). Teenagers don't know what they want, they haven't seen enough to make major decisions with confidence. An older person is basically preying upon that inexperience as an easy target, which is a gross misuse of power. I'm speaking from the position of a 30 year old college professor who teaches mostly freshmen (thus, 18-19 year olds). It would be easy for me to seduce my students because of my position, experience, and confidence, but it'd be extremely immoral and I doubt it would be emotionally fulfilling.
