  1. Definitely an interesting idea. I'm not sure how much they would be set apart from their "canon" counterpart besides being the opposite sex, but I'd be down to see it happen. As far as I know, there isn't any precedent for it, but there wasn't any for Fallen Ike or the child banners, so I don't see why it couldn't happen.
  2. And it's by Hidari! I love how the dark energy coming off her isn't the typical purple we get with fallen heroes, but instead a nice minty green.
  3. Sigurd with the horse, but make them detachable because that would be cool.
  4. Assuming this is from the perspective that we're going back to canonize particular pairings, I would be perfectly OK with it as long as it's the ones I want. Jokes aside, I generally prefer the open-ended nature of pairings. It adds a layer of freedom and player customization that I think more or less benefits the games that feature it, especially games like Genealogy and Awakening that use it as a core gameplay mechanic. In my opinion, giving the player as much freedom as possible in (nearly) any video game is important, so letting the player have some input in who's with who is really just a nice bonus, and stuff like paired endings are largely inconsequential anyway. That being said, it's not like it hasn't already been done before. The FE4 Mitsuki Oosawa manga took creative liberties with some of its pairings, but I'd say it's pretty far removed from the game enough that it doesn't really matter.
  5. It's been about 2 and half years since I've last asked this question, and there have been loads of new heroes added to the game since then, as well as plenty of resplendent heroes. Obviously, this is a subjective question, so you can interpret it how you like; "best" and "favorite" are more or less synonymous here. If you're at all interested in what people have said in the past, here are links to Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 respectively. As for my stance on the matter, Resplendent Brave Lucina is honestly the new peak of FEH art, and after that, anything Akira Egawa touches (Legendary Seliph, Resplendent Innes, Male Shez) is at the top of my rankings. To me, these are absolute master crafts of character art, and so beautifully drawn that it's almost set an absurdly high standard. Getting stuff like that for a silly little gacha game is insane. So... who do you think has the "best" art in the game? What's your favorite?
  6. Woah. Now I'm interested in seeing what kinda of warp point it really is... unless it's just some random shrine or tower again, lol.
  7. Huh. Well... everyone will have a different experience with the game, but that's kinda disappointing to hear if that's the case. As far as warping goes, where are the warp points now? Do you still warp to Sheikah Towers, or is there a new type of warp point?
  8. Oh, I figured the thread just kinda died... unless you guys wanna pick it back up with a free write next month or something? Is this moving over to Discord? I used to have it, but I never used it so I deleted it.
  9. Lore can be found in nearly any franchise with a long enough history, and Fire Emblem is no exception. What makes FE more unique in this regard is the fact that its games are set in various different worlds, which means different sets of histories and lore for nearly every game (aside from the games set in the same world, of course). With that in mind, what is your favorite bit of Fire Emblem lore? This can be anything that comes to mind, from shared lore across the entire series to the most obscure trivia fact from a single game.
  10. I'd love to know if it's even possible to beat you-know-who in Chapter 11. I really feel like it could be, so your best bet would probably be some extremely excessive grinding in order to match their level and equipping Emblem Tiki to turn into a dragon for those sweet bonus stats.
  11. I actually just beat the game today, so I'm glad I did that in time for this. I'll be looking forward to this next week!... after I get over the ending. Also, it's amazing how Future Redeemed is being released right before Zelda. Seems like great timing before the next big release sucks away everyone's attention.
  12. I've always loved the generational aspect of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and I don't think anyone or anything can really compete with the introduction of Joseph Joestar, even in his own series. Just like his grandfather, Joseph is introduced by coming to the aid of someone in need, and if being the spitting image of his grandfather wasn't enough, he initially comes of as being fairly similar to Jonathan in character as well, if a tad more playful and intelligent. Now, Jonathan himself is great character, even if somewhat "bland" compared to his successors. He's an all around do-gooder, and someone who nearly always strived to do the right thing, even if it were to end up killing him. He's as pure of a protagonist as you can get, and he set the standard going forward. Then, when it comes to Joseph, any preconceived notions about him based on Jonathan are completely thrown out the window once he loses his temper, illustrating that he's an entirely different protagonist than the one that came before him, subverting everything and setting an entirely new standard. He beats up a couple of crooked cops in an alleyway for pissing him off, then immediately makes friends with the dude that stole his wallet. If that wasn't good enough, he pulls a tommy gun out of literally nowhere and shoots up a vampire in a random NYC café not much later on. Easily one of the strongest first impressions from any anime character I've ever had the pleasure to witness.
  13. Hilda is probably one of the most vile, revolting characters ever created in the entire series. She's absolutely despicable in every conceivable fashion, and considering she was made to be that way, it would make sense that most people wouldn't like her since she was meant to be unlikable. In that regard, she's a well-made, well-executed character, and I respect the role she plays in the story.
  14. At this point, if it makes it any easier, we can just make it a pick-what-you-want round if anymore suggestions roll in, but I'll leave that up in the air for debate. I'd certainly like to try making a story cocktail on my own for fun with what everyone else comes up with, though. And I'd hate to see this thread die with funerals of all things. You're doing what you can, and I appreciate that. Keep it up, bro, you're doing great!
  15. Uh... Civilization? No, that can't be right... it's gotta be Fire Emblem... Bald man takes out the world's criminal elite.
  16. wait what Ahem. Yes, I think a group prompt would be a cool idea. Everyone can pitch in a prompt, and we can either decide on a single one to use, or we could forge them all into a single mega-prompt. I think that might offer a unique challenge, but if that's not anyone's cup of tea, no big deal. I guess to pitch in mine: Create a complete character arc within a single short story/chapter. Exposition dumps and time skips are BANNED. @Jotari@TheSilentChloey@SoulWeaver If you guys got any prompts that you've been itching to use, we'd love to see it! It's ok, Beice, I've been planning on changing my username to oais for years now.
  17. I was joking about a 4-way tie, but at the same time, I'm satisfied with how this has turned out, hehe. I say we play rock-paper-scissors for who wins. I'll let everyone else go first.
