Great minds think alike! I did actually consider Dedenne, but decided against including any Pika-clones for a slightly additional challenge (much to my detriment for Gen 7).

Gen 1 is a total desert. Gengar, Poliwrath, Jynx, and Parasect, a Rock/Ground type (so Rhydon, Golem, or Onix), and someone with the Flying type (so Charizard/Moltres, Pidgeot/Fearow/Farfetch'd/Dodrio, Zapdos, or Dragonite) are required. It's not very creative. Past Gen 1, I think I managed to make teams that didn't include any starters, legendaries, cross-gens (Pokemon evolutions introduced in later generations), or regional forms (since that's more or less the same as a cross-gen). Starting with Gen 2: As for Gen 3: Next up for Gen 4: Then Gen 5: And Gen 6: Lastly, Gen 7 (I haven't played Gen 8 or 9): ~ ~ ~ Considering the limitations I put on myself, Gen 6 had the least amount of Pokemon to choose from, which... wasn't that surprising, in hindsight. Gen 5 was probably one of the easier ones since it introduced the same amount of Pokemon as Gen 1, the most out of any generation iirc, but it wasn't as limiting since there were more type combinations.

I think Erinys' Forging Bonds kinda alludes that normal Ced is Lewyn's kid. Silvia mentions it in the S conversation, although she also said it doesn't matter, lol.

I think an alternative way to look at Ike's ending, instead of viewing it as some definitive end for the character because he was so ominously "never seen again" like plenty of stories have done with their heroes, try considering it from a more open-ended angle. Sure, he was never seen again in Tellius, but considering Priam's existence (as dubious as it is), that pretty heavily implies that Ike traveled across worlds to go do... whatever, Ike stuff, I dunno. It might be the last of what we've seen of the original Ike, but there's a whole world of possibilities that a player can imagine from there. He was never seen again? Maybe he became a fisherman. Maybe he traveled the world outside of Tellius (there's more to the continent in the northeast). Maybe he became an interdimensional peacekeeper for Naga. That's why stories sometimes leave certain things vague so that the player can fill in the gaps and come to their own conclusions. It also leaves the door wide open for future storytelling opportunities if anyone ever decides to revisit the character (official or fanmade). Just because one story comes to a close doesn't mean another one can't be made.

I feel for you, dude. I accidentally deleted my Smash 4 save data on Wii U a few years back before Ultimate came out and I haven't touched it since. I think thankfully for you, Fire Emblem is a lot more replayable, but losing so much progress is unbelievably frustrating.

I don't play Cipher or collect any of the cards, but you will never get more banger artwork than from Cipher. This feels obligatory to say, but it's legitimately an absolute shame it was discontinued. The cards that show a whole scene going on around the character being illustrated are the best ones, imo, kinda like the one with Bantu there.

Yes, you read the title correctly. It's possibly the longest possible family tree in the series, and here's how it works. Baldr and the other twelve crusaders receive magical dragon holy blood and holy weapons from their dragon overlords and wipe the continent clean of evil. They all have descendants and pass down their dragon powers. By Genealogy of the Holy War, Sigurd is the latest of these descendants (and his father Byron, as well). Sigurd hooks up with a hot forest lady who also happens to be descended from Heim, the guy that received Naga's blessings and whatever. Sigurd and his hot forest wife Deirdre have a son, Seliph, who goes on to liberate the continent as his ancestors did before him and Jugdral lives in peace forever, happily ever after. Fast forward a couple millennia or so onto an entirely different continent, some evil dragon guy gets evil, and so Naga gifts a seemingly random guy (Anri, who may or may not be related to Seliph) with her tooth that just so happens to look just like the weapon that Seliph used back in the day. I think only people in his family can use it, so they've probably all got Naga blood or something. Anyway, he beats the bad guy and then can't marry his crush, so he becomes king of his own territory. He dies single, so his brother Marcelus succeeds him. Fast-forward like 60 something years, Marth is the latest descendant and fights a very similar war to his great-great-uncle, but does it twice, and unlike his great-great-uncle, actually gets married to his crush, and they live happily ever after. Then like another couple millennia or so later on the same continent, Marth's descendant, the first exalt, fights a test-tube dragon and puts him back in his crib for bedtime. The first exalt has descendants, and then like 1000 years later, Chrom does the same thing (I think I'm noticing a pattern here). Anyway, depending on if you play Awakening the right way, Chrom can marry Olivia, and they have a daughter and son, Lucina and Inigo. Inigo is important for some reason, so he gets transported to another world through multiversal shenanigans and eventually meets a hot dragon princess. Just like his mother, he marries the protagonist and has a daughter and son, Soleil and Kana. Here's a simpler breakdown: Also, here's another slightly unrelated thought: considering that at least 3 of the holy weapons in FE4 are named after their dragon counterparts (Naga, Forseti, and Loptous), wouldn't it be logical to assume that the rest of the unnamed dragons share a name with their respective holy weapons? This is awesome; something more laid back like this is a great idea. I think the lack of a deadline can definitely help give ideas the time they need to grow and flourish, so there's a nice lack of pressure. I'll be looking forward to how this works out.

I'm not sure how much this counts, but Echoes did exactly this, just not to a super great extent. There are the different character endings depending on who's alive or dead, of course, but there are also a couple of scenes that play out differently if someone dies. It doesn't drastically change the plot or anything, but I think it does recontextualize a few things in the story, like Clive and Alm's relationship if Mathilda dies before you recruit her, going from "My friend left the band because I made you the new lead singer" to "My girlfriend is dead because of you." It's really just some alternate dialogue for somehow missing out on the best unit in the game, but it does show the consequences of the player's actions and they make sure that you feel bad about it with Clive's reaction.

While I personally haven't tried it (since I don't have the means to mod my 3DS, nor do I really want to), I could at least suggest Fire Emblem Fates: Upgraded. I don't know if it's quite complete or not, but it might be fun to try out and spice things up.

I've read the first half of Mitsuki Oosawa manga, the one with the sex and this phenomenal panel (minus the caption): and it's pretty good. Granted, I haven't read it in at least a few years, nor have I yet to finish it since then, but I think it generally does a good job of contextualizing the relationships between characters compared to what the game was able to do, and it builds upon that pretty well. A lot of characters also end up far more fleshed out than what they were in FE4, so if you're looking for more out of certain characters than what the original game or any other supplementary material has done, then I'd give it a read. Of course, as far as adapting FE4's pairing system, there were some pairings that were set in stone for the story, and I think the pairings chosen make sense. There were also a couple of characters from the game that were cut from the manga, as well, but it doesn't really detract from anything. Overall, though, I'd say it's a great adaptation and definitely worth checking out.

Definitely Lloyd, then. I think that's something I could get away with wearing in the winter or on a rainy day, maybe.

It's been really disappointing to see such a nosedive in activity recently, and it especially feels like it's happened really fast, too. I enjoy checking in at least once a day to see what's going on, but there hasn't really been a whole lot going on to begin with. The older I get, the more I realize why people miss stuff from back in the day. Yeah, "times change" and all that, but I can never get used to it.

From what I can gather, I think that most, if not all, main characters in the series do have official titles; some are just a bit harder to find from official sources than others, but generally speaking, a character's epitaph in their ending or in Heroes is what their title is, unless shown/stated otherwise. Starting with the most well-known ones: Marth - The Hero-King Roy - The Young Lion Ike - The Radiant Hero Those titles are pretty much synonymous with their associated character at this point, and for good reason (Smash). As for other characters, some of them are a little less obvious, or just given a passing mention: Alm - The Saint-King, which parallel's Marth's title quite nicely if you ask me Celica - The Caring Princess Sigurd - I don't think it's ever mentioned in FE4 outright, but it's most likely the Holy Knight. Not only is this supported by his epitaph(s) in Heroes and the title of his Paralogue in Engage, but the music that plays in the prologue of FE4 is titled "Birth of the Holy Knight" Seliph - The Scion of Light; also referred to as Holy King in Leif's ending in Thracia 776 Leif - The Sage Lord Lyn - Lady of the Plains Eliwood - Knight of Lycia; alternatively, he eventually inherits the title of Marquess Pherae Hector - General of Ostia; alternatively, he eventually inherits the title of Marquess Ostia Eirika/Ephraim - something something Restoration Lady/Lord/Queen/King; I figured I'd lump them together since they basically have the same title, just gendered to fit them respectively Micaiah - Silver-Haired Maiden, Priestess of Dawn, the list goes on Robin - High Deliverer Chrom/Lucina - Are far as titles go, these two would probably be "something Exalt." If it were me to decide on definitive titles, I'd go with Shepherd Exalt for Chrom (like in Engage) and Future Exalt for Lucina I suppose it should be mentioned that Lucina does masquerade as Marth for a time, so I guess she also technically has the title of Hero-King...? Corrin - The Crux of Fate Azura - Lady of the Lake (what lake?) Byleth - The Ashen Demon (from their days as a mercenary); they're also referred to as Professor by most of the characters in the monastery (and Teach by Claude), but that's less of a title and more so how they're addressed Alear - The Divine Dragon There aren't all character titles, but the ones I thought fit the best. I hope that's a decent list to help you out.
