  1. Well a lot of people expressed independent views and didn't align with a party, so I'm wondering which party they actually vote for.
  2. Obviously not everyone agrees with EVERYTHING a party does, or all their stances on a topic. So my question is, what reason do you vote for whatever party you do? I know there are third parties, but if you vote for one, let me know what it is and why.
  3. Commented for great justice.

  4. And what is my purpose for being? Who created me? What did they create me for?
  5. It seems the only purpose I serve here is keeping -Cynthia- from the name she probably truly desires.
  6. Good to see you.

  7. Ohwell, it's a forum, you can do whatever the hell you want :P *whimpers* Sometimes not always a good thing.
  8. Wow... This thread has taken a strange turn... However I would like to remind you that we're not identifying intelligence here.
  9. Pretty much the same for me I guess. Yup... Nothing to talk about...
  10. Good evening. Indeed, well it's technically morning now for me.
  11. Well it's not that it's not easy, it's just that I go to do things I did on the older versions and I forget they changed it, so I look like a tool and have to do it the correct way. Really annoying actually.
  12. Yes, she is correct, you may answer the question in anyway you choose. Sorry for not mentioning that before.
  13. I'm still not used to this newer IPB 3. I am disappointed in myself, as I am very familiar with VB, and SMF, yet this new version of IPB keeps fooling me. X_X
  14. This was an unexpected turn... Well none the less it seems we all have mixed opinions on the country, and on what needs to be done.
  15. High school is an interesting experience none the less. One that I'd rather not relive. People always say you miss high school when you leave, but I've been gone for a few months and really I haven't thought about it one bit. Doubtful I will either.
  16. The best of course, as it's impossible to fix all of the "problems". Which political party, whether one of the two big ones, or third party, do you feel has a better idea of how we should "fix" some of the "problems" we're having in this country? This is an educational discussion, so it does no good to just say something like "DEMOCRATS/REPUBLICANS WILL FIX IT ALL JUST VOTE FOR THEM", state how they plan on doing it, and why it would work, and of course you support that party. If you don't feel any party will help anything, then state what could be changed about a party to help them. State something you feel should be changed about a political party, and not just something like, "less stupid," as that isn't descriptive or relevant. Saying something is stupid with no reason is just an insult and is in no way constructive. The children of today could be the leaders of tomorrow, so if their view on what their party should do is altered, there's always the possibility it could alter it in the future. Good ideas spread like wildfire. A third installment to my previous two topics. First political views, then how you feel this country needs to be "fixed" and now, who do you think can fix it? Also optional but: How do you feel about the current leader and legislature's attempts to correct some problems? (Remember, constructive.)
  17. Now that we discussed your political views, how would YOU propose to fix this United States of America? What in your opinion can be done to make it better? Please note, this isn't about who is right or wrong, simply what you think should be done. Don't down on someone's idea. Personally, I don't think there is anything that can be done. Everything is a double edged sword really. Make the rich pay more taxes and it's not fair that they should pay more because they make more, don't and it's not fair that the poor are paying for everything. All we can really do is improve things enough to keep people from bitching as much, but in reality, there shall never be a utopia. Not a reason to not try, but at the same time it's a never ending fight. What 1 person thinks is right, another will not. So basically it'll be this constant fight of making laws and other parties trying to overturn them, really though hasn't that been what it always was? One person makes a law or decision and another disagrees and tries to overturn it? Ironically rebellion which most associate with chaos is the only way to achieve logical freedoms and humane order. If no one disagreed we'd still have slavery and there would be no elections because everyone agreed on who should lead. What about you? What is your idea of how we should "fix" this country? Some of the problems being: Health care, the national debt, and overall morality of the people. There's tons more but I don't feel like listing them.
  18. Where do we all stand politically? Just for the sake of everyone knowing. I'm not asking why your way is "right", or why others should follow, I'm asking where you stand, and why you stand there. There's no need to bash others or what they think, let them be "ignorant" as some call it and be happy with it. Me personally, I'm really just undecided on EVERYTHING. I really can't say I stand in any particular way in either party, or lean towards either. Some say I'm a liberal, but really, I think I'm more of just an asshole. I like big government things failing, and people pissed off at the government, so really no matter how the system fucks up, I'm a happy camper to see that the higher order isn't working. What about you?
  19. And I gave an answer as to why. It may not be the one either of you wanted, but it WAS an answer. It doesn't mean I didn't comprehend the problem it just means my answer wasn't the one you were hoping to find.
  20. I also addressed your question, darling. You asked "why not have a questions/suggestions board" and I addressed that.
  21. I think the main reason why is because it caused a lot of debate which erupted into fighting once too many times. If you look at the big picture this makes it easier on the staff. They can get the suggestion BEFORE it's filled with 3-10 pages of people debating on it or fighting. And get right to the point. If an idea is a good idea more people will be submitting tickets for that idea. So instead of trying to find who supports and who opposes in a topic, they can just check each person's ticket. The system can help a lot if you use it actively. Why not try it?
